not if it doesn’t work try a chickpea tagine, the one I made which was a squash, chickpea and cauli one with lamb added for protein completely cleared me and DH out 😂
I had some spare cals so had 80g of ginger cake now feel guilty. I need to be better about this negative emotion around food.
Tomorrow I have a busy teaching day, then a neighbour has invited us for dinner which is so nice but actually I’m so tired and I just want to get in PJs and loaf around on sofa. She has told me she’s making a Jamie Oliver fish dish which is bang on plan for me though, so that’s one less thing to worry about.
DH has his vasectomy reversal op next week, I didn’t realise what a big operation it is, full general anaesthetic and 2-3 hours under. I’m a bit worried about him doing it now tbh but he’s determined.

Not2bObvious · 04/02/2022 07:36

Had a bit of a splurge last night and went over cals by 300. I know what you mean about the guilt gen, I'm just a bit irked as I kept eating when I wasn't especially enjoying it. That's the wine effect! And old habits die hard. It was a slightly stressy day so I felt justified at the time. Tell that to my skinny jeans!
I had no idea a reverse vasectomy was like that, I'm sure he'll be fine but watch out for him feeling low after the GA, I had a time of that & thought there was something seriously wrong with me. Had no idea it was a side effect.

Bloody rise today but lots of carbs yesterday as was craving them

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2022 10:01

Gosh gen I didn’t realise the extent of the surgery either. Hope it works and you get you baby x

That’s my fall down too. Eating when not enjoying

Gensola · 04/02/2022 11:02

I’m still 135 today despite my ginger cake snaccident 😊
I’ll be relieved when he’s out the other side and recovering that’s for sure. I have been having anxiety dreams about it!

Not2bObvious · 04/02/2022 11:20

Well there you go, no harm no foul. I haven't weighed yet as still in PJ's and haven't eaten. Busy doing my hostessing! I'll weigh around 12 before I go for a walk. Not feeling able for weights today, it'll hold until tomorrow.

Gen best of luck to your dh with his op

Not2bObvious · 04/02/2022 13:43

Still in the 164's after the usual scales dance. I'm only kidding myself but meh. Good walk done so that's something. Broke my fast with plenty of protein

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2022 18:27

Lots of carbs today so no doing another spike. Body pump and currently 1400 steps

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2022 18:29

Because of my 2x choc feats my net calories is 1700 this week
Average steps 14500. I can live with that

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2022 19:23

Gen wishing your Dh all the luck in the world for his op bless you both Flowers
Been MIA due to Mum's birthday and changing our Broadband/TV/phone package, new hub had to change all the passwords and sign in , it's been a bit fraught here l can tell you Grin
Thank you for the birthday wishes for Mum , she has had the most wonderful time, she even said she has never had such a wonderful birthday and thanked me profusely Smile l have been so busy l didn't even have a piece of birthday cake!
Dh has been terrible trying to get the BT box to go , l wanted to pay the engineer £30 to do it but he wouldn't listen to me . It has taken him 2 days to get us online and the telly working properly Grin
Hope everyone is ok , it's been hectic here , please forgive me for not replying to everyone , l am knackered, we had to take the car in for MOT, new disc brakes & pads and a full service. Got up at 7 to get it there for half 8, came back home and did the BT box and sign ins with dh, it took ages we had to register for every damn thing again, new passwords again! Hmm
Then back to pick the car up at half 4. Shopping done for Mum as well as us , Dh has collapsed on the sofa he's exhausted bless him but l wasn't blessing him earlier l can tell you Grin

134 this morning - am so pleased, I had dinner at neighbours and she made such an effort to make healthy protein filled meal, I had two glasses of Prosecco and stopped there so no hangover and cals were around 1500 for day as I purposely had a small brekkie and lunch. I haven’t been 134 on scales since just before I got with DH and gained a stone and a half on his amazing French cooking 😅
life those cals are not bad at all, that’s what TeamR* had me on to lose.
mrs so glad your DM had a nice birthday! Hope you can chill out a bit today x

I have a 40 min body pump and 50 min spin planned, my thrush has gone away thanks to the magic capsule and I hope it stays that way!

Not2bObvious · 05/02/2022 07:42

Glad your mum had a great day mrs, hope you've recovered from all the running around - glad you're back online. I'd be completely lost without & now the tv is linked to it, it's even worse!
Hurrah for 134, great work gen, that's a lovely weight. Have you a final goal in mind? You used to talk kilos which I was clueless about, now I know where I am. Great that the thrush has gone too and what a lovely night at your neighbours. The best of everything without any hangovers or scales flux, go you.
I think to pull your average back to 1700 is excellent life, sometimes it's all you need to see to encourage you and leave aside the catastrophic thinking that leads to f*ck it mentality and Aldi's choceur supplies decimated. I had no wine last night and a small bit of chocolate which I enjoyed. I am trying to stay off it though as the less of it I have, the less I want. When I think of the nights where I milled through bars & bars, and bags & bags of crisps, it's a miracle I'm not twice my size & toothless!

Yeah I’m pleased 135.3 today so going right way again. No fitness today but out dancing tonight

Great news gen
And well done not for only a bit of choc
Hey mrs

Not2bObvious · 05/02/2022 09:20

Up a pound on yesterday but my moving average down .9 since last week and down by .5 overall - it's going in the right direction.
Not in the humour to workout. Will focus on food today as the priority. Tomorrow will be better for weights

I sprayed the bathroom with mould remover and now my skin on my face is burning even though I’m sure none went on me, washed hands after touching it. It doesn’t look too bad, maybe slightly red. Am a little worried 😟 hope it dies down soon. Staying out of there and letting DH rinse it all when he gets in.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/02/2022 16:19

That doesn’t sound good. Can you have a shower?

Not2bObvious · 05/02/2022 17:41

Ouch! How you doing now? Bit late now but plenty of fresh air, maybe too small an area and the ingredients were too potent.
Managed an audio bodypump session with hand weights and 30 mins on the treadmill, quick walk to shops. Bath and relaxing now. The rest of them are having fast food for dinner, I'm having a small steak with salad. Goals....and I want some treats & wine later😉

OP posts:
Gensola · 05/02/2022 18:48

not it has settled down but my skin on my cheeks still feels like it’s been burnt and my throat is sore. What an idiot, eh! Steak and salad actually sounds better than theirs, enjoy! I’m making a puy lentil, fennel, parsnip and sausage affair.
My final goal is 126, to allow myself to maintain around 126-129 and try to keep below 130. I’m only 5’2 so I’m still reasonably curvy at 126. Currently just hoping to see something in the 120s, which I haven’t seen in 3 years aha!

Not2bObvious · 05/02/2022 22:15

Only 9 pound to go then! At this rate you'll have it in the bag by Easter. Your poor skin & throat💕

Morning all. Was over cals by last night but had loads banked from earlier in the week. Scales up another .6 but average down .6 for the week. Might see a drop back to the 164's tomorrow if I keep today good.
Anyone doing anything nice today? Might go for a walk if the weathers ok

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 06/02/2022 08:18

In rehydration today. Never sweated like it for ages but fab night out 23651 steps without aerobics t yesterday
Down to but probably dehydration

Gensola · 06/02/2022 08:26

There’s a bad storm here - wind and rain are awful so our planned walk looks doubtful. Going to do body pump 40 and 50 min spin. Have a lot of prep and marking today sadly.
DH and I have tickets to the Anish Kapoor exhibit in Oxford this afternoon so we will down tools to go to that and have a coffee there. Coffee has become so expensive out - £3.40 for a flat white!

Happierwithouthim · 06/02/2022 08:51

Ds has a birthday party so I've got some one to one time with dd we've nothing planned yet. It's rare we get some.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/02/2022 08:52

Ooo stay safe gen
