My DD2 tried the tea and said it's nice but it needs a spoonful of sugar , yeah right lol Hmm Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2022 17:44

So Sunday is my guess day as ep for dinner. About 230 over and 10600 steps. Apple crumble was yummy but has kicked in a sweet craving. Could go one way or another

Not2bObvious · 30/01/2022 18:28

Munchy day here, lovely but v small lunch so having a bit of a treat tea from chippy. It was a good week so no guilt (I say that but you know I'll feel guilty)

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 30/01/2022 18:40

Now 750 over , fml

Gensola · 30/01/2022 20:39

I made a vast lamb, chickpea and squash tagine, it also has red peppers and roasted cauliflower. Very high in protein and not too bad on cals - 275 for a large helping. Having it with couscous done with chopped parsley and coriander.
period is due and my belly has bloated just as PT asks for month-end measurements 😑

Gensola · 31/01/2022 07:05

Briefly saw 135 on scales yesterday, seemed too good to be true after party and today back to 136 😬 busy week ahead, two work events, tomorrow eve a lecture with a visiting speaker and Weds a more social one that I will not be drinking at 😂

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2022 07:13

So after nearly 1000 over and a shit night sleep 135.5. Back to it today but I feel
Urgh

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2022 07:39

Not much of a gain for the extra calories, that's something at least. It's done now life - spread over the week it won't have been much of a calorie overspend.
Up 2.2 here so yep, starting the week on the back foot again. Holding off food til lunch

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 31/01/2022 09:02

My scales jumped to 195.5 this morning, I'm guessing it's because I didn't drink enough water yesterday and didn't walk.

Even if it doesn't drop by tomorrow morning I'm going to put 194 as my check in as it was consistently that for days.

gen are measurements going to fall on your due week every month? If so I'd ask for it to be moved.

Herbal teas & cordials have me living in the loo mrs so I have to avoid, as do fizzy drinks to a lesser extent

What did you get from chippy not I'll live vicariously through you?

Taking dc on train which will include milanos next Sunday my mouth is watering already. Will get the leggera range.

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2022 09:29

I feel like I have a hangover too. Must be the sugar

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2022 14:09

Slightly ashamed to admit to chips (shared 1 bag of chips across 3 and I'd only maybe 100grams) and a battered sausageBlush No garlic mayo at least! Oh and 1 onion ring. Grease'tastic. Totally my fault as I kept moaning I hadn't enough lunch but then had plenty of snacks. Then himself suggested chipper. Haven't had it in ages and won't be rushing to do it again.
Didn't eat until lunch and got 30gr of protein in. Dinner at 5'ish, snack at 7pm and then kitchen closed. That's the plan at least

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 31/01/2022 14:16

not that's not much at all, you were very restrained.

I'd chicken caesar salad the bag from aldi, added a tomato, some cucumber, red pepper and my own chicken.

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2022 16:47

It's more a case of I knew it was pure greed and I wasn't hungry just peckish. And I should have stopped when I realised I wasn't really enjoying it. I need to remember these things for other times.
Still listening to the Obesity Code, it's quite heavy, the book might have been better for referencing back/forth but I think I'm getting the message. When I decipher it, I'll let y'all know but I fear it means leaving the Aldi Chocolate aisle behind us....

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 31/01/2022 17:20

That really is very little chips but I hear ya on not stopping
I do need the secret of leaving that aisle of temptation behind.
Funny mouth taste today -ve test though
On track day after gluttony

Gensola · 31/01/2022 18:38

not I don’t think that’s so bad!
I’ve managed a good workout today - 40 mins upper body weights and 30 easy spin. Steps 14000.
Next door’s little dog is barking constantly again 🤪
Off for a «relaxing» bath with the sounds of dog barking …

Not2bObvious · 31/01/2022 20:07

I've definitely done worse! Would love to manage a full week of on track behaviour, although 5 days last week isn't dreadful.
We don't have the dog barking but we regularly get the house alarms going off, there's one particular one that appears to have an unusual rhythm shall we say. If I ever find the house, words will be had!!

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2022 07:43

Morning all. 1.8 of the 2.2 bloat gone, and .8 down on last Tuesdays weight so chipping away. It was a low cal day yesterday due to only eating between 1pm & 7pm. I will have breakfast today as I've a lot on and don't need to bring on the hanger if I can help it! Only a very short walk to the shops yesterday so I need to do better today. Everyone ok?

Gensola · 01/02/2022 08:48

Morning! I am at 136 now, hoping to get to 135 for official weigh in tomorrow.
I also have thrush, which I haven’t had in years, completely depressing and so uncomfortable! I think it’s all the cycling :(

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2022 09:23

Woohoo on the 136, boo for thrush, ouchSad

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2022 09:24

Ouchy gen. Get yeah to a chemist

Gensola · 01/02/2022 10:46

Went to Boots and the pharmacist was a really young man, he was so embarassed haha! I got the pessary and cream combo so hoping it will be better soon. It is sooo distracting and uncomfortable! TMI over now lol.
I was up at 515 and did a 40 min spin, I have so much energy atm not drinking and going to bed early.

I am having dinner with a friend tomorrow, it's a thank you from me to him for doing some work for me a couple of weeks ago. However he struggles with boundaries and is very controlling around several things including drink, he has asked me to go to his for a bottle of prosecco before the pre-drinks at the event we are going to. Problem is that I am not planning to drink any alcohol at all! I know he will be really annoyed so have been putting off telling him (he has previously had a go at me for not drinking, saying it's boring/ruins his night/oh he won't drink either then).
He has been a really good friend to me in a lot of ways but he is very unhealthy and drinks far too much, and he struggles with people making their own choices.

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/02/2022 12:01

That sounds very difficult gen.

My dinner has taken 800 of my 1500 calories. Trying to use up old stuff. Ah well will be an over day

Not2bObvious · 01/02/2022 12:57

Gosh that is tough gen, I've had that experience. Life would be much easier if we could just say no without offence being taken. This is him being defensive about his drinking, if you join in then you can't judge him. I'd probably not set up meetings with him too often if I'm honest. I couldn't deal with the reverse judgement

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2022 13:32

Gen l would tip it in the dogs bowl , or the vase of flowers or in my handbag /shoes/coat pocket .....you get my drift Grin

Mrsmadevans · 01/02/2022 13:43

Mum's 90th tomorrow so have been busy getting ready for it , therefore the food has been good Grin packing pressies, decorating the house, cards, plants , flowers, entertaining the visitors that called in today , so it's been a busy couple of days. Her actual birthday tomorrow won't be so busy thankfully , as l have done all the prep for it Smile
Gen Mum had thrush last week the Dr gave her a Fluconazole capsue and it sorted her out in no time , hope it goes very quickly Flowers
l am sure l have heard of more women suffering from thrush due to the increase in cycling and spin classes somewhere . lt was probably the Mail HmmGrin
Yep here it is lol
