I don't need to lose a massive amount of weight but ideally would like to be half a stone lighter I'm 10.7 at the minute and would be almost in heaven if I could get down to 10st exactly!

I'm going to start on Monday and I am going to lose 7lb by Friday 14th December..

Would anybody else like to join me.. or just come here and abuse me to keep me on track?

Morning all. had toast again this morning and have not been to the gym now for 10 days

I had steak last night so that was quite lean. I have put my WW book back into my handbag.

Today is going to be difficult as I have a work lunch.

Tomorrow I am going to bring porridge into the office with me and will have that for lunch then fish for dinner with some steamed veg. I need to be very good over the next 4 days to shift even a lb by Monday.

Hello and Welcome to the new starters!

I have some diet plans that I printed ages ago when I was using eDiets.. I think I will dig them out for ideas.

I only have the Davina one on DVD and I'm waiting for a VHS player in my new flat. way back before I was a nanny I used to program DVDs and can honestly say don't bother with Rosemary Conley's Salsacise one, it's very gentle! The Nadia BB Trannie Salsa one was OK though. But so dumb watching "her" jiggle about.

I didn't have a very good night last night, started a new job and decided, well one glass of wine to chill out won't hurt. Did I stop at one? Of course not.

Then I had a huge breakfast, but thankfully I'm nowhere near hungry now which I have been other mornings...........

Oh well! I guess I will just have to have salad for lunch and see how I go!

Going to do Davina now and pack my gym kit for tomorrow morning. I MUST get there after the morning job!

NiftyNanny · 14/11/2007 11:09

Mascara good luck with the office lunch! I get a starter and a side salad when I'm out, cos the portions of the more calorific stuff are smaller but you also get loads of good green stuff with it....... I hate that thing where you worry about being labelled "The Dieter" and think that everyone is watching what you choose to eat. I used to be Diet Coke Girl in the pub after work. My local now serves that lovely Pomegranate and Raspberry Squash, thankfully, and they always put a double measure in so I don't even have to wonder!

Oooh it says my BMI is 23 which is OK! Shame my Bottom Mass Index is somewhat higher

Piffle · 14/11/2007 11:15

Hi everyone

I actually started my diet two weeks ago in order to lose 7lb and so far have lost 2lb!

I am following the WW point system as I used this to lose 4 stones after having my DTS. Somehow, an extra 10lb has crept on this year so I want to lose at least 7lb before the festive season commences.

I am also exercising a lot by going to the gym and working out to DVDs. I've just bought the Taebo Celebrity Cardio and Taebo Celebrity Sculpt DVDs and they are brilliant. I also use Ultimate Challenge by Nell McAndrew and both of Davina's. I also go for 3 miles runs at the weekend.

Today I had bran flakes for breakfast with skimmed milk. I also plan to have couscous with a thin sliver of corned beef, an apple, banana, three plums and a tangerine plus a cup of no point soup for lunch. Still deciding what to have for dinner.

The other thing I noticed in the past is that if I did not lose weight, I lost inches, especially if I was exercising. My clothes are already looser, especially around the waist.

sweetheart · 14/11/2007 12:12

Ahh see NN you are actually slimmer than me! Jammy begger

Piffle - 9St 11 you lucky girl! I can only dream of being back there!

Spookette - Well done on your weight loss os far! Your lunch sounds lovely, very filling - how many points are you on each day? The only way I can stcik to my points is by hardly eating during the day and having a normal evening meal. Dh refuses to eat "diet food" and I refuse to cook 2 meals so we all have to eat the same thing.

I have had 2 cups of tea so far today but I'm about to eat my soup before going to a lunch meet up so I can avoid the food at Starbucks!

NiftyNanny · 14/11/2007 12:28

I'm so relieved that Caffe Nero has the lowest point cappucinos, 'cos I would die without an indulgent coffee every now and again. Nero's yoghurt brunch pots are only 3.5 so I am working my way through the entire range. Don't Starbucks here have the sugar free syrups now? Hooray. Steamed Skinny milk with SF Hazelnut syrup!

Good luck everyone I just had a 4 pt lunch but I think I will go for roasted squash tonight for 0 pt. Boyfriend is a meat eater so cooks his own food, thankfully, so we don't argue over it. That's when stuff like chillis and curries help though because the men still like them and they can have bigger portions. The beasts!

spokette · 14/11/2007 12:35

Sweetheart, I'm on 20 points a day which breaks down as follows:

Breakfast 2pts
Lunch 6pts
Dinner 8pts

4 pts left to carry over or for a treat like a biscuit or milk in a drink.

I also drink lots of water throughout the day. Often one mistakes hunger for thirst and I find that a glass of water is great for satiating my appetite. The other key for me is that I eat smaller portions.

My DH often eats stuff from the WW cookbook but does not realise it is diet food!(lol)

sweetheart · 14/11/2007 12:45

spook, we'll have to swap some meal ideas! I have adapted some lovely recipies so that dh will happily eat them. I am on 18-20 points and find it quite hard to stick to - more so with 18 than 20!

I usually use 10 to 12 points in the evening so thats probably why! I don't tend to eat my excercise points though.

I tend to drink tea rather than water as I find it a bit more satisfying in some wierd way, especially in winter.

sweetheart · 14/11/2007 14:30

YEAH - I went to lunch and managed to stick no a lo calorie flavoured water - no cake, nothing!

I am peckish now though - I might have to try and find some fruit or something to munch on in a min.

spokette · 14/11/2007 14:47

I'm peckish too so I'm off to have my umpteenth glass of water plus two tangerines!

Well done on keeping away from the cake!

MascaraOHara · 15/11/2007 09:37

Ok I've had 1 weetabix with a little semi-skimmed milk for breakfast, so feel like I'm properly on the wagon today. I've also drank a big glass of water and have a litre bottle on my desk to plough through

OP posts:
spokette · 15/11/2007 09:55

I had a small bowl of cheerios with skimmed milk as the bran flakes had run out.

Lunch will be no point soup, banana, apple and two plums.

Dinner will be gammon and bean hotpot. It is from WW's Pure Points cook book is about 6 points.

MascaraOHara · 15/11/2007 09:59

I've got soup for lunch (0.5pts) and cottage cheese with crackerbread.

OP posts:
MascaraOHara · 15/11/2007 12:56

Ok, I didn;t have my soup had a tesco healthy living cous cous which was 3.5pts and then a small apple.

Morning all,

I had to nip out with work yesterday afternoon which took my mind off being hungry so I had a good day yesterday.

So far today I've had 3 cups of tea and will be having a Baxters soup for lunch. I'll probably nip into town and get some fruit to satisfy my sweet craving I seem to get after every meal! I also have netball training tonight so that will count as my excercise for the day.

My real test will come on Friday as I don't work and being at home makes me want to indulge in naughty things! My plans is to fill my day up so I'm too busy to sit and think about what I'd like to be eating. Hopefully my work out video's will also have arrived so I can do one of those - I'm getting a bit annoyed that they haven't come!

sweetheart · 15/11/2007 15:12

well I'm just digging into some lunch - finally at 3pm!!!!!

I picked up a granola snack thing at lunch and I'm hoping you can tell me it's not naughty becuase it certainly taste's like it is!

It's made from mango compote, greek yoghurt and granola. The lady in Whistlers (my all time fav cafe) tell me they cook the mango with only a little sugar. The greek yog is full fat but there is only about 50g in the pot and I always assume that granola is good for you - am I wring?

Someone please reassure me that this IS a healthy lunch!!!!!

sweetheart · 15/11/2007 18:05

yeah my DVD's came - although I didn't relised I'd ordered a box set one so now I have 6 workout DVD's to try out! Think I'll be here forever figuring which one is the best.

Feels a bit like I'm talking to myself, where is everyone else?

MascaraOHara · 16/11/2007 08:40

I'm here lol. I had fish fingers last night.

I'm having toast for breakfast today as didn't have time to get anything before I left home and have soup for lunch today.

I'm dreading the Monday weigh in - I don't think I've been very committed this week. I must be good over the weekend to pull this round.

OP posts:
sweetheart · 16/11/2007 15:36

Had a good day - well so far anyway!

Did 1.5 hours of Tao Bo DVD and had a soup for lunch with a small bread roll and some riveta mini's.

Planning on having tuna steak with egg noodles tonight and have brought some fat free yoghurts for pudding.

Amandoh · 18/11/2007 13:34

Hi all,

I hope you're all well and having a good weekend.

Haven't had a brilliant last few days...

Had an upset tummy on Wednesday which should have helped the diet as I couldn't eat anything... However... by Wednesday evening I was starving! I started cautiously by just having a biscuit then went to the cinema and ended up eating a tub of popcorn the size of Dusty bin!

I ate ALL DAY LONG on Thursday! With hindsight I wonder if I had hunger confused with thirst. I was probably a bit dehydrated due to the upset stomach then a huge amount of salty popcorn.

Friday wasn't brilliant but better than Thursday.

Somehow I managed to get my sensible head on yesterday and had a good day. WeightWatchers toast at about 11am. A 6 point chicken fajita meal for lunch and then a 5 point chili chicken meal for dinner so that was a total of 14 points. I also had a couple of frothy coffees which are 2 points each and a ginger biscuit/cake thing (no idea of the points) so I think I probbaly came in around the 20 points mark.

I haven't eaten anything yet today but we're having a roast lunch soon. I'm going to go easy on the meat and potatoes and fill up on veggies. I'm not expecting great things on the scales tomorrow morning but I do know I've eaten less this week than I have done in recent weeks so if I can stay focused I should see results at the next weigh in.

Good luck for tomorrow girls and may the scales be kind.

sweetheart · 18/11/2007 16:16

I had a terrible day yesterday! I had intentions to be good then as soon as the coach arrived at our girlie shopping trip we headed straight for the nearest cafe and ordered full english breakfasts! We were in the pub by 11.30am and I didn't stop drinking until 8pm when the munchies kicked in and I ate everything in sight!

I'm hoping being good all week will mean the scales are kind to me tomorrow!

I have a work lunch tomorrow so don't think there is much chance of being good then either!

Hope everyone else is doing better than me!

Starbear · 18/11/2007 21:10

Can I join in? Must try and get to at least 10 1/2 stones. Lost my way need to get back on track. I know I'm a little late but is it okay to join in now? I work three days a week and have a v hardworking DH and at 3 year old Ds. I also have a big tummy that I need to to work on. Don't know if it will ever look good again.

MascaraOHara · 19/11/2007 09:34

Right weigh in day today!!

I am about to get on the scales now
