Today, when the post man dropt the letters at my door,I was so exited if there would be something about "lose weight",then I found this letter about "ZACTIVAL".
It's seems to be a new way to lose weight that's why I'm asking if has anyone tried it.
Today I have an appointment with my doctor then I'm gonna ask him if I should go for another try.

JTR · 03/11/2004 01:38

Hi jusu,
As I promised to let you know about ZACTIVAL,I went to my doctor yesterday and he had the letter about the "pills",because I left there last week for him to have a look and give me an answer if I should take it to lose weight and he said that if I wanted to try then I could go ahead, but if I would feel anything going wrong with me from when I start taking then I should stop, but he doesn't think so,because if there would be something as a side effect then they shouldn't send us a letter to buy it without prescription.
So ,I already did fill in the form of ZACTIVAL to order and today I'll send it off, then from now all I have to do is wait to receive the pills, start it and see what happens.
Soon will let you know if it really works and if you wish to keep in touch just txt me then as soon as I get your txt, I'll be happy to replay.

JTR · 10/11/2004 01:26

Hi Macc!
I have sent my form and I ordered 20 pills+20free,it did cost me £44.25,but if they don't send me then I'll take it further so they wont mess around with no one else.
But if it comes and really works,I've got some friends waiting for me to start and they want to see the results to order aswell.
How much did you pay?how did you hear about it?

Hi all, I too have had a leaflet through the door for Zactival. Unfortunately, the warning bell for me was the address. I get a lot of 'slimming leaflets' through the door and they all seem to come from the same address of Staines, Middlesex. Each time I search the internet on that particular 'slimming aid' I come up with nothing.

I hope I'm wrong on this, if only for those of you who have paid out.

JTR · 14/11/2004 04:03

Hi Dear,
I'm thinking to check with my bank if they have already charged me,because I've send my credit card number. If not then I'll ask an advise from the bank, but if they did, then I'll ask to where did this money go,then If the others who has being in the same situation want to take accion, then we can, because has already being a long time waiting for no answers.
So please,if there is anyone whown has sent your payment and not received let us know or if you did receive let us know too, because we are worried about our money.
Many thanks!!!

hi jtr, how long did the leaflet say it would take for delivery? i hope that wasn't a scam. have you tried calling the company? please do check with your bank if money has been taken.

JTR · 15/11/2004 03:00

Hi,
The leaflet doesn't say the telephone number or how long would take for delivery, but I kept the address which is: "Riva Beauty Center" POBOX389 Staines Middlesex TW18 1EY.
This address was on the envelope and the leaflet says to return the order within 10 days to be able to get this special offer which is:buy 5 tablets and get 5 free, buy 10 tablets and get 10 free, buy 15 tablets and get 15 free, buy 20 tablets and get 20 free.So I ordered 20 tablets, and that is suppose to come 20 free,I paid £39.95 + £2.30p&p + £2.00 extra for priority.
Anyway,I don't understand why they haven't send me any thing yet.
I hope they don't take too long, because I'm losing my patience.

JTR · 16/11/2004 02:51

Hi champs!
Sorry,I don't know about this things,but I couldn't find it.
I'll be honest with you,I didn't have time yet to go to the bank with my husband because he is the account holder, but I'm really upset.
It is not fair!!!Today I was thinking how did they know my full name and address???Then I relised that, night before they send me the letter,I was checking the e-diet website, actualy I got registered at Atkins, paid £ 29.99 to get the program which I'm not happy with, but anyway, there was the only way they could findout my name and address.I AM SURE!
Is there any thing you could do to help me?
I appreciate!!!
Regards,

hi,
I'm new here I found you by searching for Zactival... I feel that I too have fallen foul of this scam. I posted my cheque for £40 + which was cashed over a week ago and still have recieved nothing.
Anyone heared anything since the last posting?
I'm really fed up with this...I have around 100lbs to lose and this really was a last resort, I've lost 60lbs already and am really struggling at my present loss rate I will reach target in around 3 years. Theese companies really do prey on vunerable people there must be something we can do?! But what?

woodpops · 16/11/2004 14:32

What diets have you tried lizibeth??

lisascafe · 16/11/2004 19:24

hello everyone

i too think i have been scammed on this i was looking for info on zactival which let me to this site after reading your comments i quickly rang my bank to see if i could stop my cheque no joy it was cashed on the 7th they advised me that if i have heard nothing within a week to report it to my local police to make them aware of it i was thinking of maybe contacting watchdog but a bit embarassed to think i was so vunerable bye bye 43.00 doesnt look like it was well spent lisa

bran · 16/11/2004 21:26

I usually try to be a bit nicer than this, but I've had a trying day so you're getting the un-edited version.

I know everyone's upset that they sent their good money off and got nothing in return - but even if you had got the product you would still have been ripped-off because it doesn't work!!!! Wonder-diet products never work. It takes effort and time to lose weight - usually about as long as it took you to put it on. As long as people keep paying out before engaging their brains there will be unscrupulous types willing to take their money. If someone offered to sell you a car which had been converted to run on tap water so that you never had to buy petrol again would you buy it straight off? No, you would know it was a scam, otherwise all the press and tv would be talking about this wonderful advance in technology. So why did you think that these diet pills would work? Just because you really, really wanted it to be real it doesn't make it so. Being overweight doesn't make you vulnerable to scams, you make yourself vulnerable.

I think you should all consider your £40 as money well spent for a lesson in life and forget about it. Figure out what it is that's making you fat, and then make changes to your lifestyle that will allow you to lose the weight without damaging your health. There's plenty of genuine advice and support available if you would just stop looking for a quick, easy fix that doesn't exist.

Of course if you think I'm being too harsh, or talking rubbish then you may be interested in my new health drink - you will feel full of energy and loose at least 1 stone a month while eating whatever you like. Only £30 for your first month's supply.

linnylambe · 16/11/2004 22:12

Oh my god bran!! your in one of em aren't ya!!
you've a good point tho.. take it from me who over the past 9 mths since DS was born, have spent around £250 on fad diets,,, from low carb to protein shakes!!
alas.. no miracles, and have come to the same conclusions as yourself!! permanent weight loss is only achievable by makin lifestyle changes.. both in your diet AND on the threadmill!!!

bran · 16/11/2004 22:39

Do I take it that you're not interested in my one-time only, very special offer LL?

How is your diet going? I've been doing Weight Watchers for about 3 months now and it's coming off, but very, very slowly.
