i want some chocolate NOW and i'm on my way to the cupboard to get some if you don't stop me............

pollywollybauble · 03/12/2007 21:04

i would feel hypocritical at the mo' as the star bar has me in it's clutches and i cannot say no......arghhhhhhh!!!

Santaslh.....you have had a good day today as far as i can see.....it wouldn't be a disaster if you did have a bit of choccy "but would it taste as good as being slim feels" and other such slimming club style comments

otherwise say "p*ss off choccie you ARE not the boss of me.....you are small and dressed in garish purple and i will not be beaten...."

fedda · 03/12/2007 21:31

pollywollybauble, you're probably right, my memory is not the same as it once was. I hope I can loose some weight. I could do with some support as I feel low with my results.

santaslittlebumper · 03/12/2007 21:35

i was saved!!! dd explded in her nappy again and it put me right offi don't think the steroids agreed with her,she has been pooping all day
thanks for the pep talk pollywollybauble
i shall refer back when the chocs start calling my name again.dh's fault for opening them, they've been in the cupboard for a month and i haven't wanted themdiet wrecker that's what he is!!

mylittlepudding · 04/12/2007 13:56

How is dd today Katy?

Well, I finally came clean with my GP about how crap I have been feeling. So celebrated with a latte and some toast with strawberry jam.

Lunch - spinach and ricotta quiche and salad.

Good to have some new faces, how is the day going?

Jahan · 04/12/2007 15:26

Yesterday was a good day foodwise;
bf - 2 slices toast, coffee
lunch - covent garden tomato & basil soup, 3 wholemeal krisprolls
dinner - dahl & rice
snacks - banana, 2 clementines, fresh pineapple

today not so good!
bf - cereal, yoghurt
lunch - leftover dahl, 2 slices bread
dinner will be chicken casserole

Have just eaten a samosa and a slice of homemade fruitcake with friends! Argh! (I am bfing which is allowing me a few extra cals but not that much!)
I'm going to have a very light dinner - mostly steamed veg.

Mylittlepudding - hope things sort out for you but well done for speaking to the gp.

how's everyone else doing?

santaslittlebumper · 04/12/2007 17:57

hiya everyone
mylittlepudding glad your getting things sorted you deserve a little treat

jahan your menu sounds ok to me.breastfeeding uses up loads of calories, slow and steady and the weight will stay off

dd is full of it today, snot, streaming eyes and the most horrendous coughso i have only had chance to grab a sandwich today

she's crying again be back soon x

mylittlepudding · 04/12/2007 19:10

I am bad once I think I deserve a treat though... I never stop at one!!!

Going to try and get back on the wagon. The pushchair wheels are very stiff - I'm sure they are burning extra calories

as above plus a small slice of pizza and big pile of rocket in lemon juice for tea... and I'm going to go and pour a glass of wine - bad I know. It seems like the child free time is so precious that I want to relax properly though.

Your poor dd katy - and poor you. I hope you get some rest soon.

Jahan - I believe WW and the like add quite a lot for BF - and it sure makes you hungry, how old is the dc you are feeding? I think you have done fine (better than me anyhow!!).

fedda · 04/12/2007 19:32

Hi, i had coffee with dried cranberries in the morning, vegie soup and pinaple chancks for lunch, pork stew with chick peas, carrots, red and yellow pepper, onion, garlic with a glass of water with a squize of lemon juice for dinner. I'll have coffee later.
My little suggestion for treats: visit to a hairdresser, massage, new clothes, new ear rings - the list could be endless and it doesn't have to be food or drinks.

Jahan · 04/12/2007 19:45

Santaslittlebumper - sorry to hear about dd. Its horrible when they're ill. It must be really draining for you too. How old is she?

Ds2 is 2 months old. I'm not restricting myself. Just trying to eat more healthy.

I like your ideas for treats fedda. I think I'll treat myself to a visit to the hairdresser when I've lost my 1st 7lbs

susiecutiemincepies · 04/12/2007 20:33

Evening all

Just not been able to get on at all. Isobel has ANOTHER chst infection. Has anti biotics this time. and managed to rub snot in her eyes so now has conjunctivitis, so has eye drops too. She is not a happy girl with me, every time i get near she thinks i'm going to do something to her

I got really upset yesterday, as i went to hair dressers, had a big hair cut ( hair much much shorter! ) and mum picked me up, Isobel couldnt have cared less I was so upset. She didnt want to know me at all. having been up and looked after every night, most of the night for the last 4-5 nights, I was more than a little miffed, and just emotional about it. Mum tried to re-assure me, but I guess i'm just SO run down, tired sore and fed up, nothing made me feel better.

She's much better today at last! So must have needed the Anti-b's.

So, to the diet....

Breakfast and lunch: Slim fast x2 today
Snacks: banana, muffin lots of tea and water. and an apple. a handful of jelly belly beans hmmmmm
Dinner: Scrambled egg and a crumpet.

I have a mince pie calling me SO loudly and persistently...

katy so sory to hear your DD has been poorly too. I really hope she's feeling a bit better today
POlly: How are you feeling? better than last week after all your tests ?
MLF So difficult to say things out loud sometimes, but just doing it really does make you feel better, even if thats all you do I know how you're feeling
jahan & fredda welcome ! I hope you can find some support here, nice to see you both good luck with it all.

ok girls so, its my birthday sunday, then only 5 days till we move!!! so worried about it... but, just think in less than 2 weeks i'll be in the new place! yipppeeeee!

santaslittlebumper · 04/12/2007 21:04

right i have anti-bacd my keyboard so no more virtual bugs for ourlo's to share
susiecutie i think my dd needs antibiotics too.i'm a bit concerned about her breathing but she seems to be up and down.good on you for getting a new hair cut and don't worry about isobel, she knows she's got the best mummy ever
mylittlepudding get walking girl

dd is 7 months jahan she's such a happy little thing i feel so sorry for her

feddai like your way off thinking with the treats,i think i'll get my eyebrows done if i get chance this week.i've neglected them that much these last few weeks i could put ribbons in them

pollywollybauble how was the star bar?

susiecutiemincepies · 04/12/2007 21:08

ribbons!

me too... and beads probably too...
I think a little overhaul is in order for me, before Mr Cutie comes home on friday... I think he'd get his feet tangled in my leg hair too

fedda · 04/12/2007 21:37

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words.

pollywollybauble · 04/12/2007 21:49

evening all
hope the babies perk up soon.

susie...i remember having a drastic hair change when dd was about 9 months and it actually took her a while to recognise me....i think she had to smell me before she responded...i also read something about how baby's recognise your shape/outline and if you change that they have difficulties for a while...in other words she loves you really, be glad she feels safe enough to be off with you ()

katy you should be santaslittlehairy elf and susie i think you should be called..... susiesteviewonderhairyeyebrows (not very festive though is it?)

susie i am on some new meds to unstiffen my legs. works for about 6-8 hours but for 3 of those it is like being hit by a chemical cosh ...am trying to take early am then do my flexibility and strengthening excercises in the morning (with dd!) in the hope that i can dispense with the tabs eventually.

What are you doing for your birthday(apart from packing)...will mr cutie be there

mylittlepud i've hidden your WD40 so push those squeaky wheels! Didn't realise you felt more than normally fed up, sorry,...has gp suggested anything useful to help? FWIW it took me a long time to speak with my GP too...

Fedda and Jahan...they look like good menus to me......i like the treats list....dh just dug the footspa out of the loft and cleaned and filled it for me (partly because he wanted a go tho')we pretended we were a 40s couple on the beach with rolled up trousers and hankies on our head. we were p*ssing ourselves laughing.......we must get out more!!!

anyway food
brekkie....fruit and fibre
mids cappuccino
lunch....carrot soup and crusty bread.2 triangles of toblerone (is now finished..phew)
eve....mushroom risotto. thrd of a pitta. pineapple.

i do go on sometimes....

santaslittlebumper · 04/12/2007 22:00

ok ,now i've got a mental picture of pollywollybauble with a hankie on her head pmsl hope it's a festive one

pollywollybauble · 04/12/2007 22:42

no...it's big and white....it made me laugh so much that i'm still wearing it, dh and i keep dissolving into fits of giggles when we pass each other

anyway i must go to bed, we have a 7.45am playdate (hate that word but can't think of anything better unless it's early, noisy, chaos)tomorrow...

susiecutiemincepies · 04/12/2007 23:45

7:45 playdate????? that is anti social and must be banned!!!

mr Cutie will be here for my b-day. I had planned to go for lunch at a nice pub, with some friends, but have forgotten to book... so not sure if we;ll get in anywhere now. gets jolly busy round here sunday lunch time in pubs!

He blew me out last year on my b-day ( we had a shitty time last year with him being depressed etc and he just didnt come home that weekend ) so i had a horrible birthday here, pregnant, in agony and on my own. He owes me BIG TIME!!

not to dwell though, he did try to make up for it.

Lvoing the sound of your foot spa, could do with one myself. I have one but its remote controlled and the doofer that operates it takes odd batteries that i can't find anywhere

Also stevie wonder is my fav, so not a bad name for me, how did you know????

Katy what kind of thing do you eat for your dinner on Slim fast? also, do you eat fruit aswell ( I am as my snacks) and still drink tea with milk in? not sure if thats still ok... not that i'm actually sticking to any of it !

pollywollybauble · 05/12/2007 13:19

playdater was sick everywhere this am so answered the phone and went back to bed until dd got up(yay!)....

am now staring at all the xmas deccies which dh has kindly got down from the loft, and wondering where they are going to go dd has seen them so back in the loft is not an option!

well, at least i may be too busy to eat today (snorts)

susie new name was because i imagined you with eyebrows so long they had beads in a la stevie hairdos......sorry, sometimes my brain goes off at too much of a tangent...

mylittlepudding · 05/12/2007 13:55

Hi everyone. DD up coughing, temperature, here we go again... she seems fairly ok though so far.

I think it's sleep that's set me off - am bipolar, and always struggle with sleep deprivation. Actually I've done good postnatally - mild hypomania and a mild depression on the back of it in the summer and then ok til now. GP gave me a talking to about how looking after me is the best example I can set to dd... and she is right. Not all that easy though. I have persuaded DP to do a while night at the weekend and I will take something to help me sleep and be unconscious for 8 blissful hours. Hopefully this will help!

Hope the Christmas decorations all look wonderful polly.

Hope all the poorly babies are doing better today.

fedda · 05/12/2007 14:49

My older DS has high temperature, cough and both ears are blocked! Something is going around.

santaslittlebumper · 05/12/2007 15:14

just back from hospital,dd having a bit of trouble breathing but they said its viral so have done nothing.i'm to take her back if her chest gets noisier!! going to try and get some sleep as we got none last night,be back later

santaslittlebumper · 05/12/2007 19:26

had no sleep,i gave dd some calcold and she seems a bit better,so have been sorting clothes
foodwise i've been ok.i've not had slimfast today, but have snacked on lot's of fruit

susiecutie food wise i tend to snack on fruit and then for dinner have a jacket potato or soup.i sometimes have what everyone else is having but just have a smaller portion.if i get hungry later i have a small bowl of cereal

santaslittlebumper · 05/12/2007 19:27

hope everyones lo's are feeling better, the bugs flying round at the moment don't show any signs of fawking off do thet

Jahan · 05/12/2007 20:18

Sorry to hear about all the ill babies. Hope they all make speedy recoveries.

Lol at Pollywollybauble's 1940's seaside excursion

Mylittlepudding - that sounds like an excellent idea. Sleep deprivation is so difficult to deal with. It plays havoc with your mental and emotional state. A good nights sleep can work wonders.

food today;

bf - fruit'n'fibre with low fat yoghurt (hate milk)
lunch - cottage cheese and salad sandwich
dinner - pasta with pesto, green beans and cherry toms
snacks - a few nuts, banana, clementines, grapes

Oh and did, well tried anyway, my Davina dvd. It was so uncomfortable on my boobs! Think I'll stick to walking. None of this jumping around rubbish
