Hi bitirednow,

an Atkins veteran here . I stayed on OWL for about 2.5 years. Works well initially but I found it a grind sticking to it long-term when there really wasn't any weight coming off. However for me, a sugar-addict if ever there was one, it is the only was I can seriously shift weight. Along with exercise. And break bad eating habits. I now try to eat a lower-carb diet, avoiding processed foods and sugar and lower-fat than full-blown Atkins. If I start to stray I go back to my own version of induction which would probably have Dr A turning in his grave But it works.

I'm back on that now and feeling better already. Will probably stay on it until Christmas now.

Well, the next door neighbour has just brought us round a HUGE box of Terry's All Gold as pre-emptive mitigation for their WW2 reenactment firework celebrations(Happy Diwali!) so I'm not sure how my willpower's going to hold out... the OH has already dug into it!

Haven't lost anything this week but my clothes are a lot looser in the waistband department so I'm happy
