From 12 stone to 10 stone by 1st January 2021

I've just tried a pair of new trousers on.

I bought a 14, as I knew I'd gained weight recently, and yet they still felt a little tight, so I stepped on the scales and discovered that I now weigh 12 stone! 12 stone! How did that happen?

Boredom, lock-downs and share-packs of Haribo, that's how it's happened. I haven't even started wolfing the Christmas goodies and mincey pies yet, either. Another few heavy munch sessions and I'll be wobbling into 2021, sobbing softly on the bed wrapped in duvet because none of my clothes fit.

Despite Christmas, and despite COVID, I'm not going into the new year as a fat bastard and then struggling all spring to lose weight. And so, starting tomorrow, I'm daily exercising and dieting and foregoing the crisps and cakes and I WILL BE 10 STONE BY 1st JANUARY 2020.

I'll be updating my vital stats weekly.. Today, they are...

5"7", 168lbs (73kg), and 40-33-41. BMI 26.3.

If anyone wants to join me, feel free to jump on board.

I'm joining today if I may? 12 stone 5 foot 7.... too much chocolate for the past month.

Need to lose a stone. Going to do a Body Balance class every morning and cut out all the crap.

I did literally this last year! Not triggered by January but by the arrival of a hot young man in my office 😂 Don't worry, I haven't abandoned my family, it was just my pride. I couldn't bear to be invisible and irrelevant.

I walked and walked and walked. Got a cheapo fitbit from amazon and smashed my targets most days. Cut out most junk but not all, I still had some treats and nights out etc.

Started having sugar on my morning cereal to make me go all the way to lunch without needing chocolate.

Dinner was a pot of fresh supermarket soup, so many to choose from and loads of them are pretty low calorie and high fibre.

Weighed myself weekly on the Boots 50p machine. Saw a pound or two loss each week which is soooooo motivating.

Boobs went from 34g to 32f which is bliss. Jeans went from a groaning, uncomfy 14 to an easy peasy 12.

I've stayed at 10 stone now for over a year by being reasonable but still enjoying treats if I want them. It's not a diet, just normal life now.

You absolutely can do this and it's so much fun!
