I carry most of my weight on my lower half too.
Today we are going out to Greenwich park, just doing lunches now.
Tonight will be the first SW meeting since lockdown, I'm a bit worried about what the scales will say!

ememem84 · 11/08/2020 09:02

Yep. Hence low step count. I did essential moving around only yesterday. And the same today.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/08/2020 09:38

Just rest em.

That sounds low for a runner. Or are you generally not active or not got a lot to loose? No need to reply I'm just musing. In theory fat loss is tdee - 500 a day as a start point

Unescorted · 11/08/2020 10:11

I need to lose 18kg...so a lot.

Also I have a odd idea of what exercise is - I compare myself to my RL friends and family who are mostly super fit. They think nothing of going for a 50mile cycle or a "short" outing of 10 miles running over the hills. My 2 mile run 4 times a week is sedentary in my mind, because my 15 yo can jump on his bike and cycle over 700 miles while being "unfit".

Unescorted · 11/08/2020 10:12

I am coming back from a knee injury - so "fell runner" is from a couple of years ago. It was a grim 90 deg dislocation.

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/08/2020 10:36

Ouch and fair enough.
Wreck is on about 1200 calories, im on 1600

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/08/2020 10:38

That is quite a difference in fitness view. I would be cheering at 2 miles 4 times a week especially coming back from injury.

Walking is underrated as an activity Imo. Im nor allowed to run but it keeps me going

WreckTangled · 11/08/2020 12:52

Did Pilates this morning didn't even get a fat burn despite sweating! Going to my parents for a swim this afternoon. So far today I've had a protein bar and bowl of Greek yogurt with strawberries and raspberries.

WreckTangled · 11/08/2020 20:10

I'm only on 720, might have something sweet later, it's been another scorching day.

Not2bObvious · 12/08/2020 00:15

Hello from away! Oh my wreck my meal cals look like your day calories, I’m really losing the run of myself here - but meh, it’s family time. My travel scales is truly an alien scales of from hell (aka a-sod from hell)
Apparently I’ve gained 7lb since Friday 🤔
It’ll all be fine in a few weeks, soz for the me me me, no WiFi here so just a check in

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 06:12

I'm still not losing though not probably because I'm not being consistent but I figure at least I'm maintaining whilst still enjoying everything. After the summer holidays it'll be easier again.

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 07:18

So proud... On a work day I managed a run before logging on.

Not so proud …. yesterday was the last day of my holiday so went to the pub.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 12:07

Hi all.
So weighed in at SW last night and it read 12s1lb. I'm really disappointed tbh, I've now gone up in a stone bracket, thought what is the point and went into morrisons and got some salty snacks, then ate half of salty snacks last night!
Why did I sabotage myself more?!!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/08/2020 17:06

Step away from the snacks curvy. Y think about this; you weighed in on an evening, after a break on hot day, two of those things will give you a higher reading without figuring in being off plan.

Give it a bit of time and go when it's cool weather

Not2bObvious · 12/08/2020 17:17

I agree with life, you were weighed in the evening, clothed, fed & watered AND during hot weather - Not anyone’s going to get good news from the scales in those circs.
I’m like an actual tele-tubby, my double chin has a double chin. I’d like to protest I’m not eating that much but I am - and I’m drinking like a fish 🙄

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 17:43

Thanks life and not.
I gave some of the snacks to the kids and then portioned up the rest for them over the next week and our day out on Friday.
We had to wear shoes too, so I wore my lightest pair!
It is also totm, so that will play a part.
Do you know/think that your body would hold on to more water because of the heat?

Not2bObvious · 12/08/2020 18:07

Omg of course! I left home on Friday at 159.4, by Sunday morning I was 166’something. I did not gain half a stone in 2 days, I’m a bit of a greedy guts but it’s just not physically possible. Carbs/salt/extra carbs from the gargle

OP posts:
CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 18:21

Thanks not, that has made me feel better.
I haven't even eaten lots because it has been so hot, mainly drank juice and eaten ice lollies!
No way not! You must have wanted to throw the scales at the wall!

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/08/2020 19:15

Yes curvy, heat = water retention

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/08/2020 19:16

Totm = water retention

As for shoes pft

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 19:57

Well to be honest life I understand about keeping shoes on with covid and everything. Will be glad when things are back to normal
.

Unescorted · 12/08/2020 20:02

And think how much water you will be drinking. I am camping by the kitchen tap.

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 20:16

I've eaten loads today but my sugar level still won't go up 🥵

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 12/08/2020 20:32

Unescorted, yep shedloads of water here too.
I've been suffering with migraines too, so mostly reaching for easy things to eat, which may not always be that good.

Wreck, it must be worrying, you ok?

WreckTangled · 12/08/2020 20:54

It's just annoying and I know I'll probably end up with a massive high overnight to compensate! I don't feel horrendous because I have pretty tight control anyway.
