Still putting on weight. I'm really not doing anything different. I've now gained 9lb and I can't work out why. Ffs

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 04/08/2020 09:58

Weight back up to 11s11lbs.
It has been a stressful couple of weeks and on top on that the pharmacy doesn't have dd2 medication, as there is a supply issue, so now have to go round to other pharmacies! She doesn't have many left. I'm a bit pissed that the pharmacy didn't let me know sooner, I put the request in 2 weeks ago as we were meant to go on holiday, so I had time to sort anything out if anything went wrong!
Good job we aren't going anywhere now!

WreckTangled · 04/08/2020 10:06

30 min weight and 25 min Pilates done. I find it so hard to fit in working out, obviously with it being the summer holidays if we're not out for the day it's easy but when I'm working it's impossible. Would be easier if we had a spare room for me to do it in...

Not2bObvious · 04/08/2020 14:43

Don’t know if you track or what plan you follow to try lose wolf, or if you weigh daily/weekly so no suggestions of any value. If it’s a true gain over time not a flux do you want to delve into it a bit with us? I think you know by now we’re no strangers to weigh gain and I think we’ve all kind of managed to halt it at least if not turn it in the right direction again. Maybe we can help if you have time to go into it.

Sorry to hear you’re being messed about curvy, that sucks especially when it’s for your dd

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 04/08/2020 16:15

If you really are not doing anything different wolf. And I believe you, not saying for one minute I don't, truly unexplained weight gain needs medical investigation imo.

I know not. I realise people on here would kill to be my weight. I feel squishy still though.

Big hug curvy

Is it real gain wreck or bloat?

WreckTangled · 04/08/2020 16:16

Curvy that's annoying I hope you've managed to find some in stock? If not can the GP prescribe an alternative?

Wolf sorry you're struggling, at least I know why I'm putting on weight...

Going well so far today. That's not to say I don't want to eat the contents of the fridge. I have a bad relationship with food and I don't understand why. I wonder if it's to do with being diagnosed with diabetes when I was 12 and suddenly lots of food was bad or only to be eaten as a treat 🤔 but also I'm a binge eater too which is embarrassing really. Right now all I want to go is go and buy a giant bar of chocolate and packets of biscuits and eat it all in one go.

WreckTangled · 04/08/2020 16:18

Life not sure, that was yesterday's weigh in which was after a whole bottle of wine on Sunday Blush tomorrows will be following some weights but should be more accurate I suppose

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/08/2020 17:12

I'm a binge eater wreck. Hhmm weight lifting week give increase.

Not2bObvious · 04/08/2020 17:24

I reckon the carb content in the alcohol sends the scales wild, certainly seems to in my case.
Managed til 1pm before I ate, sure helps keep calories under control but macros shot to shit.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 04/08/2020 17:51

Thanks all.

So I went to all the local pharmacies to me and none of them have any in stock, but Boots think that they can get it tomorrow.
It is for her epilepsy and usually when there has been a supply issue we got an alternative, but her consultant doesn't like doing that because it can mess things up for dd2.
She takes 90g of lamotrigine twice a day.
She has 25mg and 5mg ones
We have enough until Friday morning for both doses, if it doesn't get sorted by then, I can dissolve some so that she can have the correct dose.
Did also send a message to her nurse, hopefully she will get back to me by tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/08/2020 17:58

I think so too not. Alcohol is a pain for fluctuations.

Fingers crossed for boots

WreckTangled · 04/08/2020 18:17

Hopefully they get it in curvy. Usually they would already know if their suppliers didn't have something.

Dinner will be late (for me) tonight as we've got steak so I get DH to cook it. Have made a cauliflower and Boursin mash to go with it. So today:

Low carb wrap with the Birdseye veggie fajita mix and a bit of cheese
Yoghurt & berry bark that I made. It's not that nice needs to be sweeter

Slice of cheese
Cup of oxo (yes I know it's weird but so tasty)

Dinner will be steak and cauliflower mash as mentioned. Possibly some 85% chocolate depending if I can resist or not.

Oh and three southern fried chicken balls at lunch. Dd' fault for not eating them...

Not2bObvious · 04/08/2020 18:45

I get the oxo thing, I used to have a mug of bovril when I did 5:2 to get me through hangry times - bet that 5lb will be gone by Friday wreck
Fingers x’ed for the meds curvy, I’ve had to be given substitutes for meds during these times but not for anything as important as your dds meds. Worlds weird

OP posts:
ememem84 · 04/08/2020 20:25

Oooh the oxo bovril thing. Yum.

I’ve done 8000 steps today and I’m done.

Going for a run in the morning. Need to get my steps up again.

SingToTheSky · 04/08/2020 20:44

I think bovril/oxo was recommended on the fasting thread as good for salt replacement etc :o apparently magnesium is important too. I need to get some more as I’m nearly out.

Takeaway for dinner, hoping not to have undone my work today (fatty food seems to be ok for me though usually, it’s carbs that pile on the pounds). It was late as well so will have to make tonight a 14h instead.

Absolutely loved being back at the gym today. Super quiet and airy, a bit odd with having to properly spray and wipe everything before and after use, but will be quick to get used to. Tired now but I was so happy to have some kind of normality.

SingToTheSky · 04/08/2020 20:53

I really hope the meds are sorted ASAP, what a nightmare.

WreckTangled · 04/08/2020 21:01

I've only just finished dinner which is really late for me. I'm also going to have the chocolate.

Well done for getting to the gym sing! I would like to join the gym but even with my nhs discount it's almost £40 a month and that's the local council one. We can't afford that but I try to do stuff at home, just need a kick up the bum sometimes.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/08/2020 08:13

Thanks guys.
Yeah Wreck, they usually do know and are usually really good at letting me know, thats why I was pissed off.
I have everything crossed for boots today.

Getting ready to go to London for the day.

Hope you all have a good day.

EmbarrassedUser · 05/08/2020 08:23

Hiya, new to the board! I’ve been losing weight for about 4 months now. Down from 11st 5lbs to 9st 10lbs although I put some back on last week and am now 10st. At 5’ that’s too heavy. I had a really bad week so put on 4lbs in total 🤦‍♀️ Had Indian, steak with creamy sauce, domino’s and 2 x KFC. First time I’ve pigged out since lockdown and upset that I undid some of my hard work 😓

Got 21lbs to go until I reach my ideal weight and I’ll feel lovely and slinky. I reckon I’ll be there by Christmas. I’m doing it by cutting out snacks, smaller portions, no takeaways (haha) and walking between 5k-10k steps a day.

Good luck to everyone on here as it’s hard!

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/08/2020 10:36

Typical no tracking see a marginal loss. Macros shite though. .
Welcome embarrassed

Not2bObvious · 05/08/2020 12:06

Hi emb (gave you a new nickname, hope you don’t mind😉) Wow that’s an absolutely brilliant loss, I’m in awe! No doubt you’ll get there by Xmas if the next 4 months are like these last ones. Don’t worry it won’t be a true 4lb gain - be gone in a few days.
Down to 161.2, considering I was 165.8 I’m super pleased with that. Total and utter wine bloat (plus crisps, plus chocolateBlush)
Another no breakfast day, so bloody busy this morning

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 05/08/2020 17:39

I give up. This eat out to help out is going to make me fat. £4 for two drinks and two cakes in Costa. Wtf. Then went to IKEA and had meatballs.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/08/2020 20:52

Hi all, boots had dd2 medication, so I don't have to worry now!

Been out for the day, just over 30,000 steps. Food not too bad either, bloody knackered now though!
