Just that really!

I was 13st and I’m now 12st. Looking to lose another stone.

Was just thinking the same thing @chubbyhotchoc! It’s crazy how people carry weight in different ways.

At ten stone I’d be absolutely skeletal and at 11.13 I’m not fat (although I was getting there at 13st).

I’m 5’11 and currently about 13 st 3 which looks alarming writing it down as I have been 12 st 3 ish for the last 15 years or so! My body likes being about 12 stone and though I could be thinner I have an exaggerated hourglass body and I think carry it quite well. In my early 20s I went down to just under 10 stone and was positively unwell. I developed an eating disorder that eventually disappeared again when I gained weight. This was years ago but recently I had one of those professional health MOTs where they scan your full body composition and the nurse told me that under 11 st 7 I am getting underweight for my body composition.

@NathanNathan
Thank you. It took me a while (down to just under 13 in about a year, maintained for about a year, lost focus, back to 14 1/2 over a year or so, then down to 12 after another year. I've been maintaining for a year or so and now working down a bit more until things look right.

I’m 5’10” (maybe just a shade over) and preferred weight is 10-10.5 st. I have a small bone structure so it looks fine on me and is a size 8-10.

Less than 10st and I start to look a bit gaunt.

Just looked at the NHS BMI chart and apparently the healthy range for 5’10” is 9st3-12st7 - so it makes sense that we have different comfort points within that.

I'm 5'10" and look very good at around 11.5 stones. A slim size 12 but decent boobs. Even 12 stones I look ok.

I'd prefer to be thinner tbh but it would mean perpetual dieting and I CBA. I used to aspire to be model thin but I'm older now and more realistic.

I'm currently around 13 stones as a result of not exercising last year due to job change and illness plus consuming too many Greggs and Costas. If you saw me in the street, you probably wouldn't say I was fat as such as I carry weight well and am so tall but I'm certainly carrying more beef than I like.

I’m 5’8 and currently 12.5 stone...reading this thread has given me hope...instead of losing the 2st that I am desperately trying to do and failing miserably at...I just need to gain 2 inches in height and I’ll be spot on. This actually feels more achievable than losing 2 stones Grin

Evileyecherry · 16/06/2020 06:39

One saving grace of being 5” 10 is the ability to carry weight well!

I wish I was taller. I’m 5 foot, 3 and weigh 9 stone. I think I need to lose another half a stone to look ‘trim’.

Im 5’10 and happy around 9.5 stone. Currently just over 10 stone and feel a bit squishy round the tummy - looks fine in clothes but I know the extra lbs are there.

The heaviest I’ve been is 12 stone when heavily pregnant. I definitely couldn’t pull off that weight normally. I have a small bone structure (my finger and thumb overlap when I put them round my wrist) so just don’t carry extra weight well.

The lightest I’ve been as an adult is 9st 3lb a year after having babies - breastfeeding sucked all the excess fat off me. I quite liked it as it meant I could eat whatever I wanted without putting on weight and my tummy was the flattest it’s ever been, but others said I looked too thin. As soon as I stopped feeding the weight came back on and settled around 10 stone.

@Spodge incredible achievement. You've reassured me that I can do the same. Thanks
