Just that really!

I was 13st and I’m now 12st. Looking to lose another stone.

Currently losing weight, at heaviest in my life have been 18 stone.

Having been overweight for most of my life I'm not really sure what my ideal weight is and find these threads interesting. According to bone measurements I am a small frame, but I've always had such saddlebags on my hips I've no idea if it's true! I've only just had a realisation about how much fat is in my hips.

My first aim is 12 stone, currently at 14, but really I think under 10 will be my final aim... although obviously see how I look along the way.

Don’t know in stones, but I’m 64 kg at the moment. In my early 20s I was 55 kg, but that was 20 years and 2 children ago. The heaviest I’ve been is about 67 kg. I’d like lose a couple of kg; lockdown has definitely not been good for me! I know it seems quite light but I think my natural build is quite willowy; bony wrists and ankles etc. When I do put weight on it just goes on my belly and hips and nowhere else. Clothes are between and 8-12, depending on where I shop.

Some of this must be about proportion mustn’t it. I have long legs and a short body (sounds good but I’m also low slung and have to dress quite carefully to avoid boobs merging with waist)...presumably legs are lighter than bodies on the whole.

I'm 6 feet. Currently 12 stone 9 and hate it. I like being 11 stone 10

I'm 10st. Size 10 on bottom but 12 on top..like a PP if I gain weight it goes straight to my hips and stomach. If I could get bigger boobs and more shapely legs (as opposed to twigs) I would be delighted.

I'm 5'10.
My ideal weight was between 10-10 and a half stone. I was then in a 12 top (34dd) and a 10 trouser.
I am now just over 12 stone and feel very unhealthy. Am now in an 18 top and a 12 trouser.
Am an egg basically. But not a happy one. I feel so wide!

The lowest I managed to get was 11st 3lbs and I'd like to get there again. At 12st 2lbs at the moment. I was 13st 4lbs at my worst, so very similar to you, @Evileyecherry. Hoping to get back down towards the 11st mark, but happy to be a bit heavier as long as I manage to recomp a bit.

After breastfeeding I was 10 stone 10 and all my clothes fit me beautifully. Now a stone above that and would like to get under 11 stone if I can. Not having a lot of luck though! My weight has been pretty much constant throughout my life, it’s just been in the last couple of years that the biscuits show on the scales...

I'm 5'10 and 11 is my ideal too although I sit naturally at about 12ish I think. I'm just over 15 at the moment and I'm way too big. I've just found out I'm pregnant too so I'm going to have to work really hard not to gain too much. If anything I'm hopeful that I can eat carefully, remain the same weight and end up with a net loss when the baby is born!

9st 7 is my happy weight. I’ve been less (8st 12) and more in my adult life.

I’m 5ft 10. Think it depends how you carry it. I’m very muscular due to exercise with low body fat and I find if I go up to 10.5-11 stone I just look manly rather than slim. Thankfully this hasn’t happened very often in my adult life.

Will be interesting how my body changes if I get pregnant (TTC), my mum is taller than me and was all bump but my sister (slightly shorter) gained all over.

I'm 5'9 and my happy weight is 10st7, which is a dim and distant memory.

I'm 5 10 got down to 11 stone 7lb two years ago and was a size ten. It didn't really suit me though and my head looked really big on my shoulders. 12stone ish looks great. I'm currently 13st 4 after a miscarriage and now 16 weeks pregnant again almost immediately after. Hoping to get down to 12 after baby

I was 56kg pre pregnancy, I would like to lose the baby weight once he’s here, and maybe be like 60kg?

I'm 12 stone (down from 17 1/2)but I am still carrying too much body fat. Am building muscle at present. I suspect a perfect weight for me would be 11 stone.

I'm 5'10. In my 20s and 30s I'd have said between 10 and 10 and a half stone was right for me as I have a strong athletic frame. Now, post menopause, my happy weight is around 11 stone. Just a bit more to protect my bones as I get older.

Amazing @Spodge! Love to hear of people with such success.

How did you do and how long did it take if you don't mind me asking?

Mid 30s and now about 13 stone but happiest at around 11-11.5 stone. I got told I looked ill when I went to around 10 stone.

I'm 5'9.5, mid 30s and currently 10 stone 3, having just come down from 11 stone 7. I'm a size 12. I'm around my ideal weight right now but still have a tummy. Maybe that's just my shape!

I'm between 5'10" and 5'11" (depends who's measuring!).

I'm currently 10st4ish and I'd say that's my ideal weight, although it depends how toned I am - I drank too much alcohol last week so I'm feeling a bit flabby around the middle.

Lowlandsea · 15/06/2020 22:02

It was 12stone for me, my bones started to stick out on my chest and I looked gaunt so I wouldn't have gone any lighter.

Report
chubbyhotchoc · 15/06/2020 22:06

It's so weird that some people's ideal weight is other people's heavy. 11 7 was definitely very skinny on me.
