DP is just washing up then i am making a huge green salad for my dinner with fat free balsamic dressing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yummy

DP's big choccy birthday cake is sitting in the fridge staring at me

eandh · 25/09/2007 19:27

just had huge salad and small jacket potato for tea, filled myself up by boiling corn on the cob and munching on that (although no butter melting into it!)

Still not had any chocolate and am hoping after all this effort I actually do lose some weight as I'll be gutted if I weigh on monday and theres no loss!!!

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 25/09/2007 19:51

hey, you all sound like your doing well.
I had a chicken salad sandwich for lunch and as you already know (and have quite clearly shown your distaste for!!) had grapefruit/toast for brekkie... dinners are proving a little bit tougher to stick to low fat but am sure will get there eventually!

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 25/09/2007 19:53

Oh, and forgot to say this morning... Good call with the skinny cow ice creams- they're delicious!! they'll defo be a regular order from now on

Charlee · 25/09/2007 19:54

I had a huge salad for dinner

Mushrooms
Lettuce
Cucumber
Tomatoes
Red Peppers
Fresh Coriander
Rocket

Fat free french dressing.

But......

I had a celebration! Just 1 though!

Eddas · 26/09/2007 07:54

hi everyone, i'm still on the right track, i hope!

I took pinions advice and have bought some soup. Morrisons own lower fat jobbie, fingers crossed it doesn't taste bleugh

We are having spg bol tonight though, had a terrible night. coughing dcs=no sleep for mummy or daddy. Poor daddy having to go to work. so that's why spag bol, easy, already done bol part the other day, i make LOADS then freeze some, so the other night made 4 dinners in total. Will have brown spag and try not to have too much, and no cheese.

Hope everyone else is going ok.

EandH, i'll make sure you don't 'pick' at the party if you do the same for me (we're off to our friends ds' first birthday at lunch) I'm going to eat before I pick dd up from school

OP posts:
eandh · 26/09/2007 08:06

Same idea as you eddas am going to have lunh before we go (and feed Hattie before as it'll be easier) just going to text M to check she still wants us as both have stinking colds (don't want to be responsible of spreading it )

DD's are fed and Hattie asleep so am going to get my breakfast in a mo, cornflakes and wholemeal toast. Lunch will be soup/salad/tuna sandwich and dinner is cod fillets, mini jacket potatos and peas/sweetcorn (except dh who has decided he fancies 1/4lb burger and chips ) if dh gets home from work earliesh I am going to try and go swimming later

eandh · 26/09/2007 08:07

lunch won't be all of those thigs - just one of them

Eddas · 26/09/2007 08:14

EandH, you do understand this is a weightLOSS thread

DC's both have cough/colds but was thinking they're everywhere anyway and what with Tia being at school she'll probably have/get it anyway so was just going to go unless dd woke and wasn't fit for school, which she is, she IS going

Not sure whether I should take dd swimming though? mind you it's only half hour and they don't get their heads under much? oh not sure, will decide later!

Pinions · 26/09/2007 13:19

OK skipped lunch today really. Two ryvetas.

Breakfast bowl of muesli.

Umpteen coffees and teas.

Off to drink yet more coke zero .

((Makes mental note to oneself must keep going must keep going)).

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 26/09/2007 15:38

Oh someone help me PLEASE!!!
I have totally fallen off the wagon today- dd woke up 3 times last night & ds once, then dd decided she wanted to get up at 5:45! was so p'd off that i went for the biccies and didn't stop!
Have since had a bag of crisps and a cheese/ham/coleslaw WHITE BREAD sandwich although i did try and make up for it by eating lots of fruit don't think that'll work somehow!
May have to put today down to experience and start again tomorrow!

Eddas · 26/09/2007 16:06

DTLDTK, i know how you feel, ds up pretty much every ten minutes last night(felt like it anyway) so figured today may be the day too, but have been ok. Went to a party at lunchtime, I had soup first but all that party food looked yummy all I had though was some tomatoes, grapes, a triangle of a marmite sandwich(brown bread) and a thin slice of pizza. Quite restraint considering

Just start again tomorrow!

Pinions, how much more are you trying to lose?

OP posts:
doublethelovedoublethekisses · 26/09/2007 16:09

Wow Eddas, that was good of you! I think the way i felt today I would've cleared the lot!
anyway I'm not going to dwell on it, just pick up and start again

Eddas · 26/09/2007 16:15

Thanks was SO tempted when the treats came out, nearly drooled over the chocolate fingers, Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, gave ds a couple to suck on instead, seemed to like em!

There's no point worrying about a day, i'm sure we'll all have one where we just don't want to/can't do the diet so scrap it, have a bit more choccie/biscuits tonight and start again tomorrow Well that's waht i'd do

I've actually suprised myself so far, did not think my very small willpower would last this long(yes only a week but diets normal = a day) We're off out on sat night for dh's bday so sure i'll consume various alchohlic drinks will try to stick to vodka and diet coke

OP posts:
Pinions · 26/09/2007 17:44

Will let you know when I've lost it!!

eandh · 27/09/2007 06:05

Morning (and its another early start in this house!)

Had a good day yesterday - didnt manage to eat lunch before the party but had wholemeal ham sandwich and resisted all the lovely things that were there (dd2 loved the jelly and chocolate fingers though!) Dinner was cod fillets ended up with boiled potatos as forgot to buy mini jackets but no picking or snackig so that was good (even though dh bought 4 muffins for his packed lunch .

Today is a busy day got school run but have to pick newphew up 1st as have him most of te day, then off to eddas house for a bit, back from scool run, lunch and then going to take all the chidren to the park so I get some exercise and they get to wear themselves out

Sunshine78 · 27/09/2007 08:19

Morning all glad to hear I wasn't the only one who had a little slip yesterday It is really hard to stay on track when you have been up in the night and are feeling v tired. Know will be OK the next 2 days as I haven't time to eat!

Charlee · 27/09/2007 11:53

Hi everyone, sorry i have been absent for a while. I ams till carrying on doeffo not eating as much as i was and having healthy dinners although have had one or 2 celebrations but thats nothing compared to my usual feast!

I made an apricot and cherry loaf in the bread maker yeaterday so i know whats in it and had hardly any fat and lots of fruit to sneak into the kids, they love it!

I don't think i will wiegh for a while becuase last time i dieted i lost inches when measuring hips/bust/waist/bum but lost no pounds which often happens to me so i may measure instead.

I will post my measurments later so i can update them if thats ok?

sugar34plum · 27/09/2007 14:39

hi all i had leaped off the wagon with a mighty heave ho!!

So i have joined the sun diets and im going to follow them. apparently it takes 6 weeks to change habits if i survive 6 weeks will put myself in my own book of records

Apparently too the foods we eat are due to out addictions and we have to fight the sugar addiction good luck ah!!! lol

anyway there are some lovely recipes so if any one ones some just say and i will email them over.

doublethelovedoublethekisses · 27/09/2007 14:56

hey!
So... much better day today, had a satsuma, banana and pack of go ahead biscuits for breakfast and a brown bread ham salad sandwich with a plum for lunch. Having chicken, potatoes and veg for dinner so I think I'm back on track!
Told my dad last night that i was on a diet and had lost some weight and his reply was...
"Well DTLDTK, you are the heavist you've ever been so it won't do any harm to trim down a bit"
I was mortified!!

Eddas · 27/09/2007 18:05

charlee, yep do your weigh in in measurement instead, doesn't matter and actually is a good way to go. I tried measuring myself a few months back. was mortified at discovering how big i was in places,ie bum, legs, hips i am a true pear shape

dtldtk, men can be so tactful

sugar, if i can stay off choccie for 6 weeks i'll be amazed will def try though. are the recepies easy/quick? if they are i'd be interested please

i've done well today, just fruit and fibre, soup(better than yesterdays grotty one) and home made fish cakes and veg for dinner(made by dh, not me), yum, gonna have a treat of a diet pepsi once dc's are in bed. I know how to live

OP posts:
eandh · 27/09/2007 18:07

I am so stuck on what to have for dinner tonight as didnt get anything out of freezer, I may have a very very small porion of oven cooked chips with ham and salad hmmmmm do I want to give in when I have been so good

Eddas · 27/09/2007 18:09

oh meant to say dtldtk, well done on the better day. I can't look/say the word plum without thinking of this coversation mil & bil had with dd, they were at the beach, brought packed lunch, bil brought plums

dd: you can't eat them
mil: why
dd: they've been up daddy's bottom
mil/bil;

Daddy, calls his 'bits' plumsmil can't eat plums now

OP posts:
Eddas · 27/09/2007 18:10

OP posts:
eandh · 27/09/2007 18:20
