I'm 5' 7 and I'd like to be about 8st 10. Over 9st and my clothes start to get tight as I put it all on my tummy! I don't know what I am now as the scales are broken but I have a feeling it's about 9st 5.

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 15/02/2020 18:59

I'm 5'7". My day to day weight is around 8st 10lb.

I'm also training to be a competitive bodybuilder. My competition (stage) weight will be around 8 stones. I'm muscly and definitely not skinny; it's just the low body fat that keeps the weight low Blush

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/02/2020 21:22

I think this just goes to show how different we all are. I'm 5ft 7 and current overweight. My goal weight is 11st 3. I'm.a size 1 at that and slim. I'm quite athletic/muscular if that makes a difference. I'm thin at 10st7 and if I get into 9st something I look ill. I spent my teens and my early 20s being about 9st 2, not through effort really, but looked very very thin. With muscles on.

Sparrowlegs248 · 16/02/2020 21:23

Size 12. Not size 1. Obvs.

Forrandomposts · 16/02/2020 21:29

I'm 5'7.5 and currently 14.5 stone (down from 16 at the beginning of the year)! But first goal is 13.5 when I'll be a size 16, but my dream weight is where I was a few years ago- 10stone and I felt amazing.

Fizzypoo · 16/02/2020 21:38

I'm almost 5.7. I look best at 10.10 and a size 10. Currently around 12.9 and between a 12 and a 14 (a 13).

My face has got fat and my boobs are huge at the moment. I much prefer being a size ten with smaller boobs.

UtterlyPerfectCartoonGiraffe · 16/02/2020 21:39

I’m 5’6 and currently 10st4. My ideal weight is 9st something. I feel “heavy” (for me) at this weight as I am fairly small boobed, so at this weight my tummy is all at the front and almost as big as my boobs! I also have cellulite on my legs and bum at this weight, which I don’t get when I’m a stone lower. I think if I had bigger boobs I’d feel that 10st+ is my ideal weight as I’d be all in proportion, and I think proportion is more important than a random number on the scales.

My lowest ever was 7 and a half stone after an exhausting pregnancy. I was like a skeleton!

seasonalsparkler · 16/02/2020 21:45

I'm at the upper end of 5"7. 172cm to be precise. I am currently 9 stones 8 because I have massively over indulged.

My ideal weight is 9 stone 5. I am in between a size 6/8.

sparklefarts · 16/02/2020 21:52

I'm 5ft 7 and currently 17 stone. My first goal is 16 stone
End goal 11.5 stone

JoyceTempleSavage · 16/02/2020 21:57

This thread is fascinating. @seasonalsparkler I am exactly the same height and weigh 9 st 5 and size 12/14 Grin

Isadora2007 · 16/02/2020 21:58

I’ve not been under 11 stone since I was 22 and I was skinny at 10st 10. I’m a large 5ft 7.5 with GG boobs so at 12.5 stones currently I’m a comfortable size 14 in most clothes. I’d like to be 11.5 stones and see if I can tone up a bit but I doubt I will ever be less than that. Not healthily anyway.

buckeejit · 16/02/2020 22:00

13 stone!

seasonalsparkler · 16/02/2020 22:03

@joycetemplesavage

Yes I am confused by weight and dress size combination, but I think it's because I am top heavy and lift weights as part of my fitness routine.

skankingpiglet · 16/02/2020 22:15

I'm currently 10st 5lbs and a size 12. I was much happier with my weight this time last year, when I was 10st dead. Still a 12 at that weight, but without the flabby tummy and with less on my thighs. I should be back near it within a few months now the mince pie supply has dried up! I have been between 10st and 10.5st for the last 15yrs (I'm 36 now), but was heavier before that.

In my ideal fantasy world, I would be around 9.5st but I doubt I could get to that without a hardcore starvation diet and daily personal trainer and giving up booze . I'm pretty active already and eat fairly healthily.

AdultHumanFemale · 16/02/2020 22:42

Really interesting. In my home country, the rule of thumb for calculating the ideal weight for an adult woman is:
Height in cm minus 110 = ideal weight in kg.
So, 174 cm minus 110 = 64 kg.
For years, this seemed totally natural to me, but post DC, let's just say I am closer to the formula for calculating the ideal weight for an adult male; height in cm minus 100 = ideal weight in kg...

HalfBrick · 16/02/2020 22:56

This is fascinating, we're all so different! I'm 5'7 and 9 stone 6, my heaviest ever at nearly 40, I've got a right gut on me!
Was 9 stone in my early 20s. Ideal would be 9.2 and more lean. I'm really not slight or slim, quite solid really, I don't have much boob though (well I have a small --handful palmful at this weight, quite novel!) hips around 36 inches, I prefer 34.

Marlena1 · 17/02/2020 05:46

I'm 5 7 and 10st 3 (maybe a bit more after the weekend). My aim is 10 which I hovered around pre kids. I'd love to be slightly under 10 (but I love food). Anything under 9st 10 though and I would look skinny.

MsTSwift · 17/02/2020 05:49

5 ft 6 was 11st 9 over 4 months got down to 9st 12 makes a massive difference. Was a large 14 now size 10/12 feels amazing

SunStruck · 17/02/2020 06:59

I am 10.2 stone but would love to get down to 9.5 stone!

I'm training a lot, lifting weights and cardio and have muscles, so I know I would lose my curves a bit too much if I got skinnier than that.

Currently pregnant though so not the time to try lose weight, but I will try after 😅

SureTry · 17/02/2020 07:19

I'm 5"7.5 currently 10.2. In between dress size 8-10. When I was at my fittest I weighed more 10.7 and felt great. At my heaviest I was 11.9 it really crept up on me. I have a toddler and during breastfeeding I went down to 9.4, which is what I was pre children, I lost my bum and was getting a lot of concerned comments. I'd like to get back up to 10.7 as my rings don't fit and I'd like some of my curves back.

Fairylea · 17/02/2020 07:23

I’m 5ft 7 and currently 12.6 - I’d love to wake up and be 10 stone ish. I’d be a size 10 at that weight and that would be amazing. I was always that weight until about 4 years ago when I had to start taking long term steroids for Addison’s disease and asthma. But... I love cake and chocolate too much to actually do anything about it now. BlushGrin

LynetteScavo · 17/02/2020 07:26

I look best at 9st 2lb

MsTSwift · 17/02/2020 09:39

I think if I lost too much more say under 9.5 stone I risk looking gaunt. Friends my age (45) who are very skinny look abit drawn.

Nonagoninfinity · 18/02/2020 07:54

I've spent months last year calorie counting and slowly getting to a more comfortable size. I'm also 5' 7".

At 10st 10 I was a large 14 and didn't want to buy any bigger clothes. I'm now somewhere around 9st 4 and a comfortable size 12 which I'm happy with. I now need to focus on exercise again after a bad fall a few years ago.

It's so interesting that there are so many different body types. I'd have to go a lot lower to be a size 10 (which I once did accidentally when I was breast feeding). I think I'd say I looked slim to average at the moment which is fine by me. A size 10 on me looked a little frail and people started to comment. I would also have been very near the low end for my BMI.

RoyalChocolat · 18/02/2020 10:21

I am just under 5'7''. My highest weight ever was 16st 3lb. Lowest weight ever 8st 7lb - it was much too low for my frame and played a role in tipping me into binge eating.
I am currently 10st10, a size 12, and would like to go down to 10st (but I would be happy if I could be sure to remain at my current weight forever).
