I remember having to wear suits, I remember my first job the “girls” were expected to wear skirts. As one of v few “girls” in a predominantly male environment I bloody hated it

Oh not how awful

northender · 04/03/2020 23:00

Well done Happier. I tried some work trousers on tonight which haven't fitted for ages and I could definitely wear them now although I'm going to wait until they are more comfortable
life you definitely have to make the most of a hotel brekkie funded by work.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/03/2020 07:01

So after eating all the calories for everyone up 3lb today.
Back on track except for a piece of carrots cake later

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2020 07:59

It’ll be gone in a couple of days life
Finding it hard not having access to my own scales(s) Jeans this morning are grand & comfy, didn’t have time to do my waist measurement or try on goal shorts - maybe tomorrow morning I’ll have a spare 10 mins. Under cals & over steps for 2 days, 4 weeks to my next trip away.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 05/03/2020 09:54

It's a great feeling isn't it north worth so much more than any number on the scales.

Scales sts this morning Smile

life you're in a happy place now with your weight so I hope it doesn't impact you as much when you see a flux like that.

not I find it hard when I go to my parents and haven't got my scales, and they have one I can use but it's not the same as mine Hmm

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2020 10:19

I can see me breaking into his car to free the scales(s) Sodding Lent! I have this fear that when I do weigh in, it’ll be a flux day and I’ll have seen no progress.
Of course the fact that my actual body should show progress is wasted on me, hoping to accept that soon. And how will I know if I’m in good or bad mood without the sad step🤣

Or buying a new one in secret ShockGrin

Us weighing daily probably doesn't help you, maybe tape measurement of your waist each day?

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2020 12:14

Have contemplated a trip to stand on the Boots scales but sadly they don’t open at 6am or would they welcome a naked woman hopping on it!
I’ll defo do the waist measurements but not daily. I’m more thinking daily tracking how clothing feels. Gosh how addicted am I though?

Not2bObvious · 05/03/2020 22:26

That’s great happier, money in the bank!
I’m overdrawn. Had the first moment of scales freedom when I wasn’t worried how the salt would affect the weight. Of course it didn’t stop me before

Hurrah for Friday! Its felt like a long weekend despite only working 4 days. Trying to plan my food for the next 3 days, increased fibre a fair bit & so far it’s been v good (although not without challenges...the dreaded wind) Would like to stick to cals fairly tightly, that’s always a challenge over the weekend.
Anyone doing anything nice?

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2020 08:10

Down a bit on yesterday bit but still bloated. More water and fibre here today.
Usual rock and roll life here this weekend. Running round after DC and food shopping.

Actually no. Pub lunch Sunday for fil 80th and I'm making the cake.
Nigella carrot walnut and ginger. Mmmmm

Not2bObvious · 06/03/2020 09:59

Did my waist measurement and up around .75 of an inch from before my few days away. Goal shorts fasten fine but I’d have to stand! Work to be done

Happierwithouthim · 06/03/2020 17:40

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/03/2020 18:14

Sick back in hospital or at home. Sorry to hear that.

All the calories again here but steps and fbw done too

northender · 06/03/2020 19:06

Sorry to hear that Happier.
Resisted a Friday chippy tea here as have been good today. Powerwave class this morning, circuits yesterday. May have wine later.

Happierwithouthim · 06/03/2020 19:36

At home currently the question is now is it the original infection or recurrent infections?
He got ill at work before I arrived & when I got there my boss just said go & do what you need to do with him, so I did. He's being referred to a respiratory consultant and I'll go to that appointment with him whenever it comes up.

Happierwithouthim · 06/03/2020 19:39

Sausage sandwich on seeded bread, sausages in airfryer.
Goats cheese salad & garlic bread for lunch.
King prawns with chorizo, brown rice and sliced green beans for dinner

Walking dog now and lindor egg & small tub of indulgent ice cream in front of tv when I get home.

Not2bObvious · 06/03/2020 20:30

Hope he’s ok happier
Just over 17,000 steps, bit over on cals. Might end up a bit more but not worried
