That is very relaxed, isn't it. Are you on the doughnuts then? You've definitely earned something.

WigWamBam · 30/07/2007 15:25

If I had doughnuts I would eat them.

I might have to make do with chocolate biscuits ...

Very relaxed WWB, the 'routine' doesnt work in your favour I see!!!

Have a doughnut

Hope that link works....I've not done this before!

littlemisssensible · 30/07/2007 15:29

Didn't work but it was a very nice cream filled, chocolate covered doughnut....honest!

JackieNo · 30/07/2007 15:30

Mmmmm.....doughnuts..... Chocolate biscuits an entirely acceptable substitute, I reckon.

Hey people - be impressed - be very impressed. I've just been out for some exercise. A sort of jog - I tried to do week one of this - only managed 5 repetitions before I decided I'd have to walk home. DD came with me - even she was finding it a bit hard going. Although she's very fit, her stamina isn't great. Am sweating profusely now (sorry, tmi), so am off for a shower. Aiming to do it again on Thursday, and once at the weekend, if I can (the exercise, not just the shower).

littlemisssensible · 31/07/2007 10:17

Wow JackieNo, I AM impressed!!!! Good Luck, I'm sure you'll manage to work up to 30 mins of running!

I'll stick to my brisk walking though, I just can't cope with anything faster

JackieNo · 31/07/2007 10:40

Well to tell the truth, my 'jogging' was actually slower than my walking. I need to keep moving now, I can feel my leg muscles (I have leg muscles) seizing up.

MrsJohnCusack · 31/07/2007 10:43

v.impressed nevertheless jackie

I had to run at TUmble Times last week to show DD how to race. I do not recommend doing so in a feeding bra...I lumbered

WigWamBam · 31/07/2007 12:32

You ran?

I am very impressed.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 31/07/2007 13:47

I'm not sure it really counts as running WWB, and I'm not sure how long I'll keep it up (DD is determined I will, though). Know what you mean, MrsJC - I have a very old, and now completely the wrong size sports bra that I wore (new one on order from Bravissimo!), and I still felt I had to keep my hands near my norks for extra support. Nursing bras, though I found mine very comfortable, definitely don't give much support.

JackieNo · 01/08/2007 16:09

Just been doing some cleaning - it's dawned on me that I've invited a load of MNers to my house, and now I not only have to clean it, I also need to lay in industrial quantities of Froot Shoots and sausage rolls.

WigWamBam · 01/08/2007 17:55

Better make sure they're Greggs' sausage rolls; don't want to let the side down ...

OP posts:
JackieNo · 01/08/2007 19:18

not sure there is a Greggs here - might have to be Somerfield. Presumably Waitrose just wouldn't do. Or I could pop out to Macdonalds...

WigWamBam · 01/08/2007 19:25

Oh, now you're talking; MaccyDs and Fruit Shoots all round

Now all you need is a 4 x 4 to park on the drive and you're all set.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 01/08/2007 19:26

Sorry - just an underpowered Citroen Saxo. Should I resign from MN forthwith, do you think?

JackieNo · 02/08/2007 09:57

YOu'll be glad to know that I've been for another Lumber (thanks MrsJC - that's exactly the right word for how I run). Managed to do the full 8 reps of run/walk, rather than the 5 I did last time. And obviously, if I weigh myself later and I've put on, that will be due to the fact that muscle weighs more than fat, won't it ?

ForcesSweetheart · 02/08/2007 10:15

lol in Glasgow if you said you'd been for another lumber people would think you were a bit of a floosy! When I'd be getting ready to go clubbing my mum would say "so you goin lookin for a lumber?" and the next day "so did you get a lumber?"

JackieNo · 02/08/2007 10:44

. Never heard that one before, ForcesSweetheart. No, definitely not that sort of lumber.

agalch · 02/08/2007 11:00

Hi all

Put on half a pound this week. Not surprised considering i had an Indian takeaway and a mixed kebab(not on the same night i might add)

Will try harder this week.I think

WWB,have emailed you,can you let me know if you got it? Thanksxx

Kewcumber · 02/08/2007 13:15

I had a good week (well actually I had an average week but they scales disagree so who am I to argue)

Lost four pounds but put on one last week not reported so net 3 pound loss.

Not entirely convinced I have relly lost that much but nice not to still be in a downward spiral. Would ahve been happy with one pound

agalch · 02/08/2007 13:23

Well done Kew!! If the scales say that you must have eaten well most of the time.I on the other hand was a greedy thing and that's what the scales said to me lol.

On holiday for 2 weeks after tomorrow so should have good weight loss. Will have time to shop and plan meals and get into gym/swim again hopefully.

Friend(or so called) said this morning "god these scales rule my life". I so hope i don't ever get like that

JackieNo · 02/08/2007 13:23

Hey - well done Kewcumber. I'm going to weigh after lunch - must go and find some lunch...
