That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

@Seer I love asian dumplings, yum. I had leftover Goulash and rice for dinner.

@DottieLottie1 My DS wanted fish and chips on Tuesday which I got him and allowed myself 4 of his chips that's all he let me have The rest of us had goulash.

My shirts arrived. One is a weird cut so is going back and the other I really like so I'm keeping.

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 22:37

@DottieLottie1 forgot to say I love a cheeky McDonalds. I get the double cheeseburger from the cheap menu or Big Mac. We have a Burger King not too far from us and I love their Quarter Pounders.

I can't wait to be slim enough to eat them all a bit more often.

Seer · 20/06/2019 23:07

Plot twist... my dinner plans didn't go to plan Grin

Decided to have our usual Friday night tonight (long, boring story) so had a Chinese take away and some wine. Somehow still only came out at just over 1247 cals for the day so that's pretty dandy!

Tomorrow's going to be a busy day feeding myriad children so will need to be on guard for gobbling up left overs!

Are you tracking measurements too? My waist and hip measurements are shrinking but not as quickly as my weight... which is confusing!

TantricTwist · 21/06/2019 14:16

@Seer that's nice and low for a Chinese, although I think 3 prawn crackers doesn't constitute a real Chinese meal Grin What did you have to keep it so low? Just smaller portions?

My legs were aching a bit today after my long round trip earlier to return the blouse via the post office and then on to TK Maxx.

And I didn't recoil when looking at my reflection in the mirror, result Wink

My breakfast which has kept me going was a bowl of Fage 0% plain yoghurt with defrosted mixed berries.

I've just had a plain lettuce and tomato salad followed by more Fage 0% plain yoghurt with defrosted mixed berries.

Not tracking any measurements, no.

Seer · 21/06/2019 15:43

@TantricTwist Grin I had 4 Chinese dumplings, bean curd & broccoli in black bean sauce and steamed rice. It's hard to be accurate with the calories in MFP but I think it would be under 600 calories.

I've got ovulation pain today and I seem to get a swollen tummy with it too... it's made me realise how used I've become to having a flatter stomach lately

Seer · 21/06/2019 15:49

Re tracking measurements - I was shocked how much bigger my waist had become, so getting that somewhere close to where it used to be, or at least under 31", is an important aspect of my weight loss goal.

I couldn't believe that my waist size of 35" at the beginning of May would be classed as unhealthy! It's now 32.5" which is still over the recommended max size, which is hard to believe as I don't feel like I'm that much overweight now!

Seer · 21/06/2019 16:01

I seem to have had a lower week calorie-wise this week, my daily average is 1185, I'm guessing helped by my long fast on Monday. Usually my daily average is bumped up to 1400 by my weekend consumption.

I'm hoping this week's lower average will be reflected on the scales soon!

TantricTwist · 21/06/2019 16:56

Thats really good @Seer re daily average.

My tummy did get bigger by the time I'd finished walking around today during which I ate or drank nothing at all Confused

In my case I tend to see the biggest results after 3 months where everything suddenly just drops away and tightens up after exercise and diet.

I'm back to full time work next week in a new area so will be on my feet, knackered and on here less so do keep @ me so I remember to clock in as it were on here. I'm anticipating a bigger increase in weight loss, fingers crossed.

TantricTwist · 22/06/2019 12:44

Yesterday was a calorie disaster. After a couple of v. large G&T's or so I ate lots of delicious yet calorie ridden yummy food so definitely ended up in the high 2000. But happy to now go back on track esp as despite yesterday I can feel my tummy shrinking. It's a miracle Grin or just my wild imagination

Seer · 22/06/2019 23:54

Its been one of those days here @TantricTwist it's the first day since May that I've actually lost track of calories. It's got to be 2000+ tho.

Maybe we needed to kick loose a little, we've been doing so well.

I hope you had a better day today.

TantricTwist · 23/06/2019 00:41

@Seer I enjoyed my blow out yesterday and managed to reign it in today, mainly because my plans changed and I had a blinding headache hangover but you're right we've been doing brilliantly so far.

You have to have the odd day here and there and forget about the calories completely and enjoy the food guilt fee.

TantricTwist · 23/06/2019 00:41

*free

Seer · 23/06/2019 08:02

We're going for a long walk today which will hopefully use up some of yesterday's calories Grin

On the upside, I saw myself in some photos yesterday and it was the first time I felt happy with how I looked since last year before I put the weight on. I was wearing white shorts too!

I think just feel happier with my flatter tummy is making a huge difference - that's deffo the place I most want to lose weight. I guess that's fairly usual.

Same for you?

Seer · 23/06/2019 08:42

All ok there @DottieLottie1 @ChubRubTub @MrsMozartMkII and all?

DottieLottie1 · 23/06/2019 09:05

Hi @Seer, yes ok! My plans for dinner changed on Friday as DH decided on an impromptu BBQ. I didn't overeat though but probably exceeded my 1200 calories. Up to this point I felt I'd probably lost but I'm not so sure now. Weigh in tomorrow 😬

How's everyone doing? Any plans for the lovely weather?

Seer · 23/06/2019 09:26

Sounds like we all needed a bit of a blow out @DottieLottie1 Grin

We're meeting with friends and their DCs and all going for a walk down a local canal and then for a pub lunch... a fairly blissful way to spend a day for me!

Will avoid eating breakfast today even tho it's a weekend as I suspect lunch will be fairly calorific.

How about you?

Seer · 23/06/2019 10:44

I was a bit scared about weighing myself today especially as I didn't get a chance to do it until I'd drunk a pint of tea (literally Grin ) but bizarrely and happily the scales show I'm still holding ground at my new lowest weight.

DottieLottie1 · 23/06/2019 11:20

That's good @Seer, I'm going to have roast chicken wraps with heaps of salad tonight, probably in the garden.

Enjoy your walk and lunch!

DottieLottie1 · 24/06/2019 08:44

Morning all,

Another 2lb loss this week! 2 lb to a healthy BMI and 2st3lb to Goal weight.

I've lost 15lb in total over 6 weeks.

I was a little worried it would be a gain this week as DH scuppered my plans with his impromptu BBQ on Friday. This is where it gets difficult when you haven't fessed up to anyone that your dieting Grin.

How's everyone else doing?

Seer · 24/06/2019 13:36

That brilliant @DottieLottie1 ! Really good progress.

My scales showed an increase today but I notice that my weight graph goes in peaks followed by troughs so I'm trying not to take it too seriously.

B: fasted
L: vegetable rice and left over bean and veg chilli
D: wholewheat pasta with cashew cream, asparagus and mushroom plus broccoli

Will keep to small portions aiming for a 1000 cal day to help make up for over eating fri-sun.

How're you doing @TantricTwist ?

DottieLottie1 · 24/06/2019 17:57

Thanks @Seer, my clothes are much looser and my tummy and thighs have definitely shrunk, yet no one has noticed! 😂

It's not about that to be fair, it's about how I feel.

Had a vanilla & almond milk shake for breakfast.

Lunch ended up being a coconut milk based hot choc at the local coffee house- again plan changed as friends asked me out!

Dinner will be pasta in a chilli sauce and a little bread with balsamic vinegar.

Jasging · 24/06/2019 19:53

I'm new to this but have 12 weeks before I'm 40 so the title got me. I don't want to be fat and 40! Checking in to try and keep me in line. Basically I'm on the "stop eating shit" diet and trying to be good. I'd like to lose half a stone for sure. A stone would be amazing.

TantricTwist · 24/06/2019 22:22

@Seer Your Dinner sounds delicious.

@DottieLottie1 You're shrinking, excellent news.

@Jasging Yay to 'stop eating shit'. Hello and welcome.

I've been on my feet all day so lots of steps and constant moving around.

Today I fasted for breakfast
L - goulash, ratatouille and an apple
D - Mash with ratatouille

Tomorrow I'm cooking up loads of chicken thighs to keep in the fridge to have with salads and stuff. I'm trying to prep a bit better.

Seer · 25/06/2019 06:30

Sounds like a good day there @DottieLottie1

Does the hot chocolate for lunch keep you full?

@TantricTwist well done on the prepping! I'm jel of you being on your feet!

Yes the dinner is lovely and easy too - it's basically cashews blended with enough water to get the consistency you want and then I stir through sautéed seasoned, garlicky asparagus and mushrooms. Even my fussy cream-hating dh likes it!

I kept under 1000 calories yesterday so I'm pleased with that.

I probably need another day like that to balance out the weekend's consumption but we have visitors here tonight and I'm doing a mezze, I love that kind of food so it's going to be more challenging! Will see if I fancy fasting all day until then or if not keeping it light at lunch!

Proud of myself for keeping the movement up - hooping almost every day and walking every day.

Seer · 25/06/2019 06:34

Welcome @Jasging that sounds like a good plan!

I wasn't eating enough crap for it to make enough of a difference so I'm having to go more hardcore with calorie counting and fasting to lose the weight (half a stone to go!)
