That's slightly over 2lbs a week.
I'm planning to exercise every day & do the 5:2.
Anyone fancy joining me?

Make that salad @TantricTwist, bet the lemon drizzle was really nice though!

@seer, I also don't want to become 'that' person who drones on about their diet! So keeping tight lipped prevents that. Not to mention I'm a little embarrassed to have got like this Sad When my DC have offered me something I've just told them I'm trying to be good Wink

On the menu tonight will be Skinny Meatballs (5% fat) and spaghetti in homemade tomato sauce, all measured and tracked.

Seer · 17/06/2019 15:35

Yes, get chopping @TantricTwist Grin

Like you, I'm just being careful with my portions and extras (salad dressing etc) @DottieLottie1 so it's not that obvious I'm doing anything different.

So far today I haven't eaten but dinner tonight will be... mushroom pie, a small amount of mash and tonnes of green veg.

KirstyVal · 17/06/2019 15:58

@Seer Oh I see! Ok never mind haha! Maybe calorie counting? I stick to 1200 calories a day on a non active day (sitting down or not moving much) and if I'm going to the gym or exercise class then I will eat a little more, perhaps 1500.

You'd be surprised how much you can actually eat on a 1200 calorie / 1500 plan.

So for breakfast I have two Oatibix and Almond Vanilla Milk (unsweetened) which is 17 cals per 100mls I think! And the Oatabix is 190 I think. I microwave it haha!

Then if I'm hungry between breakfast and lunch I snack on cucumber or cherry tomatoes.

And for lunch I will either have something veggie based (I'm lazy so I often have the Sainsburys range of veggie microwave meal which is actually really low in calories, sugar, fat and surprisingly, salt! Or I will have some soup.

The for dinner, being a vegetarian, I will have something plant based!

If I have a sweet tooth afterwards, I will then have a square or two of dark chocolate.

I tend to not eat many carbs but that doesn't mean I don't ever have them. Just, if I'm going to eat them, it will be during the day instead of eve :-)

Sorry if this sounds patronising haha! This is just what has worked for me! I have lost over 4 stone and this has helped me maintain the weight loss.

Seer · 17/06/2019 18:20

Well, I've successfully managed the whole day without eating! Now feeling pretty hungry and waiting for dh to come home so I can have dinner... will try not to gnaw his leg off as he comes in the door Grin

TantricTwist · 17/06/2019 19:52

Please don't @Seer Grin it'll be quite hairy I'm sure.

ILiveInSalemsLot · 17/06/2019 20:00

Well done Seer. Fast days feel pretty good.
My day has been ok. Had some rye bread with avocado, some fruit, a bit of veggie pasta and some chocolate.
I’m going to do a fast day tomorrow.

Seer · 18/06/2019 09:07

Readers, I managed not to chew off DH's leg Grin

That sounds like good going @ILiveInSalemsLot good luck with your fasting today Smile

My plan for today...

B: fast
L: baked potato with sweetcorn and salad
D: wholewheat spaghetti with 4 vegan meatballs and home-made tomato sauce

That only totals around 800 cals including hot drinks so will probably add in some more drinks/snacks and end up around 1100.

I've already hooped today (felt sore!) and will do some squats, dancing and walk the dogs later.

I'm seriously motivated to lose this next pound and hit my next milestone!

TantricTwist · 18/06/2019 09:31

Glad you managed to restrain yourself from that particular snack Grin @Seer

@ILiveInSalemsLot Good luck fasting today.

I've had some alpen so far. Will make some goulash for this evening to have with rice.

I've been watching 'Riviera' and their clothes are just gorgeous so that's inspiration in itself to be able to wear and look good in summer clothes. Although of course the cut and quality of the fabric make a huge difference which are £££ and not really ideal for everyday wear in my world Grin

DottieLottie1 · 18/06/2019 12:40

Just returned from a 3 mile dog walk, my leggings are now a little baggy and I had to keep hoisting them up Blush. What does everyone do when your clothes are too big but you have yet to get to your target weight? I don't want to waste money on clothing that (hopefully) I will only use for a matter of weeks.

TantricTwist · 18/06/2019 12:50

Funny you should say that @DottieLottie1

I was thinking the same but have nevertheless just bought some clothes in my usual size 16 from M&S just so that I could buy their Summer Beauty Box.
I thought as they're T-shirts they're more flexible re size regardless of if I go up or down really. I also bought a couple of items in the Boden sale mainly after watching Riviera Blush and thought I needed something nice so I bought a couple of blouses which again are more forgiving re size fluctuation.

I have clothes all sizes at home ranging from 8/10 to 18. I would be happy to be a small size 14 really. 12 would be perfect though but I look fine in 14 so long as I'm toned with no rolls or wobbly bits.

I have collected quite a few elasticated waist wide leg black summer trousers over the years which are perfect re weight loss / gain.

Seer · 19/06/2019 07:54

I've broken into the next 10lb range... Sooo pleased to see that this morning! I've gone from 181lb to 169lb since the beginning of May

I'm sure it'll fluctuate up and down again but I now have faith that each new lowest weight will become the baseline within a week.

8lb to go... Smile

@DottieLottie1 I refused to buy any bigger clothes when I put on weight (mainly because I was in denial right up until May!) and so I've just been wearing the small section of clothes that still fit and look good! Very boring and limiting. It's been great having more choice over the past few weeks!

DottieLottie1 · 19/06/2019 08:40

@Seer, actually that's kind of what I did. I only realised how large I had got when my go to clothes were all in the wash. I put on a lovely top I hadn't worn for awhile and I had a reality check. Haven't looked back since Grin. I've got clothes from my smaller days (size 8) but that's a way to go and I think a size 10 is more sustainable. Can't wait to spruce up my wardrobe.

Good luck all.

Seer · 19/06/2019 09:41

You've got me thinking @DottieLottie1 ...

How have you all arrived at your goal weight?

Mine is a slightly arbitrary number as I v rarely weighed myself until last month. I have a vague recollection of feeling perfectly slim and happy in my clothes at 11 stone 7 lb, so I'm going for that.

I think I must weigh heavy - I'm 5'7 and have an athletic hourglass body (muscular and curvy Confused ) so 11.7 for me is slimmer than it probably sounds!

DottieLottie1 · 19/06/2019 14:59

Sitting in Costa for my lunch break, I'm not eating but have chosen a medium hot choc made with almond milk. Ive found Costas nutritional info online so it's a grand total of 220 cal and really nice too.

TantricTwist · 19/06/2019 15:23

@DottieLottie1 I guess the almond milk constitutes a meal in itself.

@Seer that's brilliant not long for you to go now.

I just suddenly got so fed up wearing my limited clothes due to weight gain that I just snapped the other day. The T-shirts I'm happy with if they fit Grin and in a size 16 they better do otherwise I will cry.

The blouses, well Boden blouses if cut right fit me so well as do certain dresses of theirs. They have the boob proportions just right for me and are cut just below the hip so cover my tummy but not my bum which I like.

Obvs they have different cuts for different body shapes but the ones that suit me really suit me.
When I purchase 'overweight' clothes I have a set budget in my head and am not deserving of anything pricey for that I need to be slimmer. So if there's something I love in the sale then I'm allowed it Grin

Seer · 19/06/2019 19:14

@TantricTwist if the new stuff makes you feel good then it's worth it!

I've just eaten dinner and realised that my stomach must have shrunk - I would have usually gone back for seconds of this particular meal (stir fry) but this time I was so full after the first helping that I wouldn't have wanted more. That makes life easier!

I did 10 minutes hooping this morning which felt fine - I could have happily done 15 but I had a client call.

TantricTwist · 19/06/2019 19:30

@Seer it was more that I wanted the M&S beauty box Grin
Hopefully the T-shirts will be too big and baggy which will put a Smile on my face

Seer · 19/06/2019 19:38

Haha! I hope they don't fit then Grin

I'm just eyeing up jewellery from this place:
daya-jewelry.com/

I've decided I'm going to buy myself something nice from there as soon as I hit a stone lost (2 more pound).

I will probably by something new clothes-wise once I hit my goal weight though will feel like I've got a whole new wardrobe just because I'll be able to wear all my old clothes again anyway!

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 10:00

I've just had a pitta bread from the freezer with cheddar and tomato which was delicious.

I'll be having chicken drumsticks and tender stem broccoli later.

Last night we had pan fried chicken breast with mash potato, green beans and sweetcorn which really filled me up. Although I did also have a cadburys pot of joy later on, I love those esp as they are nice and small, they're normally just for the DC.

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 10:01

@Seer I like their elephant pendant, I love anything elephant related.

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 11:54

M&S delivery arrived.

Love the T-shirts, they fit and hang really well, perfect for the summer with my loose trousers and much loved denim skirt.

They're not tight or fitted but not shapeless either they're actually really well cut for my body shape. They're from the 3 for 2 range.
And of course I love the Beauty Box, such a lovely treat.

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 12:00

Ps they're all relaxed fit which makes sense.

TantricTwist · 20/06/2019 13:04

10K on the X-trainer - helps if you cover the dashboard with a post it note.

Seer · 20/06/2019 13:47

That sounds like a good outcome on the t shirt front then, @TantricTwist Smile and good work on the x trainer!

I've fasted this morning and then just ate lunch of 5 Japanese veg dumplings, broccoli, sauerkraut and rice which was really satisfying but only 250 calories. Will def have that again.

Have finally managed to fit in a full 15 mins of hooping and now about to walk the dogs. Halo

Dinner later will be bean & veg chilli with rice and greens

DottieLottie1 · 20/06/2019 20:58

My DD wanted a McDonald's tonight as a treat. I wasn't going to get anything but I scoured the menu and settled on a grilled chicken wrap and a crispy chicken and bacon salad- came in at 655 calories!!!

I've only had 1050 calories today Smile
