Definetly see your GP battle. And read some of the threads on here about SW. It's really accessible to all budgets and family friendly. It's more about cutting out processed food and sugar and fat than calories counting like a traditional diet. And there is no need to be hungry or deprived. If you are on a budget (which I suspect you are based on your comments about bras) it's easy to shop in aldi for SW food. I did a shop this week to stock up. I bought fruit (nothing fancy, just fruit bowl stuff), salad, and veg. Some chicken breasts, some parma ham, salmon (but you could have any fish), and will use eggs but we have our own chickens.
Breakfast has been weetabix with a banana.
Lunch was salmon and salad. But would have had a tin of tuna instead if I hadn't had salmon left over from last night.
Tea is a chicken breast wrapped in parma ham and a baked potato and roasted Mediterranean veg. But you could serve any veg or salad instead.
Syns on gin tonight, but could have a small bar of chocolate or a fancy yoghurt or fruit or anything really.
Fill up on fruit and veg and salad. Eat lean protein. Have most carbs free. Some milk/cheese. 1 portion of wholemeal bread or cereal.
It's so easy to eat well on slimming world and if you can go along for free it's even better.
