Three day egg fast starting 23rd April

Easter will be over and I'm heading to Miami in ten days, so planning to reset my low carb eating with a quick egg fast.

I know it's not healthy or sustainable long-term, but it's worked well for me in the past. The first time I lost 7lb.

I'm following Stuntnun's thread from 2014 and this blog from I breathe I'm hungry.

The basic rules are :
At least 6 eggs a day, but loads more if you want. 1 tbsp of butter/mayo/coconut oil per egg and an optional 1oz of cheese per egg and bucketloads of water. I often add a little celery to make the egg mayo go down more easily- though it's not strictly allowed.

I did a big walking challenge and relaxed on the carbs ( then celebrated with wine and curry), so 4lb up from my highest comfortable weight. Hoping to woosh that away.

Anyone welcome to join in < now for butt covering bit> but I'm not medically recommending it!

@chillychicken I am and have been at a BMI of 21-22 all my adult life, I'm now 52. Every six months or so I do a three day blitz to reset things if I've overindulged on holiday or at Christmas. It may be eggs, it may be fruit and veg, it may be veggie soups. Three days works in general to get me back to the lower end of my comfortable weight.

It works for me so I've never had to lose 8kg. You do what you want and I'll keep to what I want, I'm in no way preaching to anyone.

Correction, I have been up to 23 after kids and holidays to the states Grin - anyway it's not important I just got grouchy and retaliated!

@Morgan12, I think it needs to be a few days because I think it works by putting you into ketosis, so you're not hungry and eat less. It's really only sustainable for a short time as you need to get more fibre and nutrients in!

I had never heard of an egg diet before reading this thread. I have been eating loads of eggs recently because you reminded me how filling they are! I’m really considering an egg fast.
