Anyone starting a new diet tomorrow? Want to be diet buddies? Im 14st7lb my heaviest ever at 5ft4. Need some motivation and willpower. Going to be doing meal substitution with shakes twice a day to kickstart my diet. Was meant to start early in January but it didn’t happen and I’ve slipped. Will be doing My Fitness Pal too.

@boggle 1.2lb is not bad at all. I’m annoyed as I lost 9lb since the start but have put back on 5!

@tinsel I think you’re absolutely right it’s a journey and I need to stay committed and not give up!

@reckless wow you are doing so well I am inspired! You are nearly at the 1st mark! So impressive!

I have just had a nightmare! My friend wanted me to try her spin class tonight and after weeks of putting it off I've finally given in. I have been giving myself a pep talk all day - only to find out that her gym buddy friend is going too Sad they are both slim size 10s who are really fit and great at this stuff. I feel so embarrassed as it's my first time meeting this other friend and I'll be a fat sweaty mess - it's added to my nerves Sad have burst into tears and shoved 4 biscuits into my fat face and now I feel even worse!

Why is this so hard arghhhh!! Wish I could wave a magic wand and be slim and healthy. SadGrin

recklessgran · 20/03/2019 17:03

@Tinsel I'm sending you a hug darling but please go. You know, after the first time you will feel SO good - remember how you feel after Aqua? Well, like that, only better! So off you go and it WILL be alright , great that your lovely friend has asked you - she's obviously trying to help and I promise they won't all be a size 10. Solidarity sister!

MrsMummyBx · 20/03/2019 17:51

@Tinsel oh I so know how you feel, but agree with @reckless, defo go and you will feel better 100%!

I want to wave a magic wand too! I think I can’t deal with the long haul of it all (just bought myself a brownie for 3pm snack at work) but I’m going to have a healthy dinner to make up for it! Thankfully the hubby is now dieting too! I’ve got so many lovely work dresses from when I was a size 12 before I had DS, I am now a size 18 - it’s so depressing and I can’t bear to throw them away. I got so annoyed that I went and splurged some cash and bought some nice ones in the sale last week so I at least have some nice size 18 dresses so I’m not just making do with what I had in the hope I was going to fit into my small ones! Did make be feel better but also ‘oh this fits quite nicely I can defo have that cake hahaha’

Tinsel the fact that you even went is massive and good on you! Who cares about what they look like. This is for you and you alone. Go girl! We can do this!!

TinselAndKnickers · 20/03/2019 21:02

Thanks for being so lovely ladies 💗 I love this thread! Through the good times and bad Grin

I went ... and the instructor was horrible! I told him it was my first time and about my fibro and he said "tough shit that's not my problem!" So I left after 15 minutes and was so angry I did a great normal work out. I am going to go back when it's a different instructor Smile and try again.

Dinner was a homemade hidden veg pasta sauce, turkey meatballs and brown penne so healthy and made up for my biscuit splurge earlier.

MummyB you deserve to have nice dresses - i soooo know what you mean about excusing yourself! When you buy bigger sizes it makes you feel like you have just magically lost weight Grin

recklessgran · 20/03/2019 21:17

@Tinsel well done on going and on walking out! Made me smile.
I had breaded chicken, chips and peas for dinner-very naughty really, but so sick of salad. Won't be doing that again though otherwise I will undo what I've done so far.
How's everyone else doing?

YouBoggleMyMind · 20/03/2019 21:38

Fuck that instructor!!

TinselAndKnickers · 20/03/2019 22:32

I've ordered a gel bike seat cover for the next time I try it because the bastard spinning bike is made out of rocks!! Sore arse cheeks, sore foof. Rubbish. Grin

Reckless I bloody hate salad so I don't know how you've done so well! Your dinner sounds amazing - jealous!!

recklessgran · 20/03/2019 23:27

@Tinsel good on you re the gel seat. My knees would never manage a spin class that's for sure - getting upstairs is a challenge in itself!
I do like salad and not that keen on any type of hot food. Left to my own devices I'd live on toast, sandwiches and crisps though.I just don't really like cooked vegetables but I do eat them because I've spent my life trying to set a good example to DD's.In the light of all that I'm a bit restricted in what I can eat in a low calorie category!

TinselAndKnickers · 21/03/2019 15:02

I don't like cooked veg either really apart from peas, onions, peppers and carrots Grin

God my arse is sore today and I only did 15 minutes of the class!

Having an okay day eating wise Smile how is everyone doing?

recklessgran · 21/03/2019 15:29

Toasted cheese sandwich for lunch. Trying to think what to have for dinner. DGC's here for sausage, chips and beans later - God, I'd love that.
Must be good though - not been very busy today so far - lazy day actually. Reading recipe books for new meal ideas!

MrsMummyBx · 21/03/2019 15:35

@tinsel sod that instructor they sound horrible but good on you for wanting to return!

@reckless a lazy day sounds amazing. Day off work today so I took DS to a museum to look at planes and now I’m back home and he’s asleep....bliss!!!

Morning, just checking in quickly. Caved in and had sausage, egg, chips and beans with the DGC's in the end. Today won't be any better as pub lunch day with g/f and dinner tonight in new restaurant with DD4 who got home late last night.
Never mind - I'm in a good place mentally about all this so will get back on it tomorrow starting with a fast day.
Hope everyone else is doing O.K.
Catch up later as just off out now.

TinselAndKnickers · 22/03/2019 12:06

Reckless that meal sounds amazing - have a great day today and don't worry about the food. I'm having a half day off as well as I'm bloody knackered and just want chocolate!

Today I'm watching trash tv before a lovely short 4 hour shift at work Smile what's everyone else up to?

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/03/2019 18:31

Hi ladies!

I'm still the same weight this morning but been pretty lazy! I have eaten better today though so that's good! Plus a fair few steps!

These are on my coffee table though... Blush

TinselAndKnickers · 22/03/2019 23:25

Naughty Boggle WinkGrin

I have had a day of snacking but low cal main meals so not tooooo bad. Back to the gym tomorrow maybe - if I can be arsed!

What's everybody's weekend plans?

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/03/2019 09:39

I am naughty. I have no self control. Seeing SILs and BILs this weekend so will be good to catch up with them Smile

TinselAndKnickers · 23/03/2019 09:53

I also ate a whole chocolate Easter bunny (a small Cadbury one) at 11pm last night - I just couldn't stop!! Enjoy your weekend Smile so glad you get on with your ILs to some extent - mine are rubbish! Not even in a completely nasty way just so passive aggressive and irritating Hmm

recklessgran · 23/03/2019 10:35

Good morning all. So naughty yesterday. Cheese and ham panini, JD and coke for lunch. Pork belly, mash, broccoli and carrots with crackling, apple sauce and fancy pants jus at swanky new restaurant followed by sticky toffee pudding and coffee. Gotta be good today girls as have had 2 naughty days. We'll see as DH likes the Saturday cake/coffee thing, but the kitchen redec seems to be on a bit of a go slow, so I'm hoping he'll crack on with that today and give the cafe a swerve.
DD4 has gone to meet a friend in London for an Indian at lunchtime so will only want a snack tonight she says.
Have a good day all - will update later and hope not to have too much damage to report!

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/03/2019 10:39

MIL and FIL (not together) have their moments but BILs and SILs I get on well with. Think it's Mexican on the menu tonight 😃

YouBoggleMyMind · 23/03/2019 10:40

Reckless all that food sounds delicious 😋 enjoy your day!

TinselAndKnickers · 23/03/2019 11:10

Mmmm all the food sounds great! And I love Mexican. I am also trying to damage control today Grin god we are awful at the weekends!!

TinselAndKnickers · 23/03/2019 19:57

McDonald's for lunch and enchiladas for dinner with a magnum for pudding Blush naughty weekend..

recklessgran · 23/03/2019 20:50

Toast and laughing cow for lunch, crustless quiche and salad for dinner. Will be walking down to the Marina in the morning and having breakfast/brunch there with DD4 if the weather is O.K. for a walk. Will try not to consume any carbs and will aim for bacon and egg only.
@Tinsel - would love a McDonalds - favourite is quarter pounder with cheese, only onion and fries. Gorgeous. Aren't you due to go on holiday soon?
@YouBoggle hope you enjoyed good food with your good company!
