Well done everyone. Honestly, it’s all so impressive.

I’m 12 stone 2.75, so effectively the same as last week (a teeny gain).

Fiontar649 · 19/03/2019 07:57

11: 14 st 5 lbs, BMI 32.3
12: 14 st 4 lbs, BMI 32.1

WhenCanISleepAgain · 19/03/2019 08:13

Start weight (24/11/18) = 214 = BMI 32.3
Today = 197.8 = BMI 30.1

That’s a loss of 0.8lbs this week.
Well done on your ongoing progress Fiontar!

StealthNinjaMum · 19/03/2019 09:25

Start weight
November 165.1 lbs
1 December 160.5
1 january 150.6
3 february 144
1 march 137.8 lbs

12 March 135.6lbs

Today 134.7 lbs

So 0.9 lbs in a week. I'm pleased with that. Think target is probably 125 lbs but I could stop now. The important thing is my body changing with all my gym work.

StealthNinjaMum · 19/03/2019 09:26

Well done whencanIsleepagain and fiontar. Fantastic progress from all of us.

Fiontar649 · 19/03/2019 10:59

Good work when and stealth
This thread keeps me going, as I like to see the numbers. The chat on the other thread is invaluable too. Yay us!

I am bang on 200 lbs now... hope to be well under it next week

mrbob · 20/03/2019 06:39

I am pretty sure I was just really dehydrated but I got 79.8kg today which felt really good! I have been on and off plan due to various social events but trying to make reasonable decisions. You lot are keeping me going!

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 07:29

I am crap at kilos mrbob but I think you were in 80s a couple of weeks ago? It's great to move down into 70s.

I have been on and off plan due to various social events but trying to make reasonable decisions isn't this great! This is where we all want to be. I am sure this is how naturally slim people live their lives!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 20/03/2019 08:40

Wednesday weigh in result: I lost another 0.8lb today so I’m at 197 = 14 st 1 = BMI 30!
Well done stealth and bob

mrbob · 20/03/2019 10:47

Woo hoo when that is an awesome milestone to hit. You must feel great :)

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 13:09

Well done When !!
Can I be nosey and ask how tall you are?
I am trying to get my BMI to 30 as one of my milestones, but I think I need to be about 13st 4lbs to get there, so another stone away

WhenCanISleepAgain · 20/03/2019 13:56

Thank you Bob and Fiontar. No problem at all to share my height. I’m 5 ft 8.

Actually I’m more like 5 ft 8.5 but I’m saying I’m 5 ft 8 when checking my BMI.

I think you must be quite a bit shorter than me?
It does feel really good to get to this point. I’ve been hovering around here for ages so am looking forward to crossing the line finally!!

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 14:06

I am 5ft 6in ... going off to redo my BMI.

I wouldn't have thought 2 inches would make so much of a difference, although I know the nhs calculator I use asks for a few bits like age and activity levels, so that might make a difference to my results too

StealthNinjaMum · 20/03/2019 14:15

Wow good milestones! Bmi of 30 and under 80 mrbob. fiontar a big milestone for you next week I think.

I'm a short person. I'm sure I'm obese at 12 stone and my TDEE (I think that's the term what I should eat every day but I might have got it slightly wrong) is only about 1500 a day. I wish I was taller.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 20/03/2019 14:23

Let me know what you find Fiontar. I just checked mine on the NHS BMI calculator and it says I’m 29.8. I normally check on MyFitnessPal.
Stealth - I haven’t worked out my TDEE or whatever it is but know lots of people say you should but I am grateful I’d get more calories as a relatively tall person.

WhenCanISleepAgain · 20/03/2019 14:29

Sorry I missed your major milestone Bob - well done for getting under 80kg!! Major celebrations on this thread today!

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 14:39

I am getting 32.3 on MFP... going to stick to NHS one 😂

StealthNinjaMum · 20/03/2019 14:43

It's a real bugbear of mine whencan that food packaging assume the 'average' woman needs 2000 calories a day because I think it makes us eat more.

The calories you need to maintain your weight is dependent on your height, activity levels and weight so as you lose weight you need fewer and fewer calories. Given that I am the average height of 5 ft 4 and a 'normal' BMI of about 23 I would say they should be telling women that they need 1500 a day.

Anyway rant over. We are all doing well.

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 18:42

I don't know if this is TDEE either, but at my current weight I apparently need 1,925 cals to maintain. Obviously I don't want to maintain this weight, so I worked it out at around 12 stone and that's coming in at 1700~ish.

12 stone will still be heavy for me, so the recommended 2000 cals for a woman sounds mad. I assume it is based on someone who is very active (as I am not)

WhenCanISleepAgain · 20/03/2019 19:44

This is all really interesting and not something I had given much thought to. My current TDEE according to an online calculator (my guess is it’s not all that accurate) is 2205 calories. My TDEE at my initial goal weight (165 lbs) would be 2005. I put myself as lightly active.

StealthNinjaMum · 20/03/2019 20:54

My TDEE assuming I'm sedentary is 1495 calories a day. That's why it's virtually impossible for me to lose more than 1lb a week unless my stbexh leaves and I find I can't eat!

But I spent my life thinking 'ooh I can have an 800 calorie lunch and an 800 calorie dinner and a small breakfast' when I can't.

Another thing if you find a TDEE calculator and change your age it goes down every year too so the older we get the less we need to eat.

Fiontar649 · 20/03/2019 21:32

Coincidentally, I am just watching a Dr/health programme on Irish telly and they've just said the average daily cals for a woman should be 1800, and for a man is 2200. That's lower than what I normally read on packaging, I think

WhenCanISleepAgain · 21/03/2019 06:23

Thursday weigh in! I’ve lost another 0.6lbs! I’m now 196.4lbs = 14 st 0.4 = BMI 29.8.
So after stalling at the same weight for absolutely ages I’m having something of a golden week!

WhenCanISleepAgain · 26/03/2019 07:05

1.8lbs total lost since last Tuesday!

Start weight 214 lbs = 15 st 3 = BMI 32.3
Weight today 196 lbs = 14 st = BMI 29.8

AwdBovril · 26/03/2019 07:40

Gah. I'm still at 10st 4. I've been at this weight for about a month now, was at 10st 2 briefly before that. Really frustrating.
