Join me losing 2lb a week until Christmas!

I'm possibly setting myself up to fail but enough is enough and I need to take control of my weight.
I'm getting married in 6 weeks and would love to shift about a stone by then and hopefully carry it through to Christmas with a goal of being 2 stone down for the New Year.

I'm currently 13st1, my ultimate goal weight is 10st but I think slow and steady is going to be more realistic.

Has anyone got any tips? Recipes or ideas?
I don't eat a lot of meat, I wasn't allowed growing up so not out of choice, I just never had. I do eat some fish and chicken.

We have young kids and my weakness is picking at their leftover tea or if they have treats in the house I just can't resist! Also when they won't go to bed i find myself eating really late dinners and often end up ordering rubbish food in from takeaways late at night out of ease/being lazy and tired!

I'm going to weigh myself every Wednesday and post it here so I can keep track / motivate myself so if anyone wants to join you're more than welcome!

I'll join you too. Taking me ages to get back into shape. I'm finally back in my size tens but they're not exactly comfy! Doing my excerise and eating less food. Why can't the fat fall off quickly like it used to? 😭

MrsVoleTheVet · 17/10/2018 14:24

@EK31 welcome, and I'm with you on the tears... definitely finding it harder-going now I'm old older!

MrsVoleTheVet · 17/10/2018 14:25

@mamajune... a leeetle gain here and there isn't a big deal... you're still down from your starting point!

Next week is indeed another week :)

MrsVoleTheVet · 22/10/2018 20:12

Anyone still here?
My self discipline is not amazing at the moment, the cold weather is making me ravenous!

MrsVoleTheVet · 25/10/2018 08:13

I forgot to weigh in yesterday's I checked this morning.

6oz down!

It's not a lot Hmm but hey, down is down!

EleanorLavish · 25/10/2018 11:47

I'm still here, had a fab weekend away so have had to work hard to get back where I was. Still on it and hoping for a good loss this week.

MrsVoleTheVet · 27/10/2018 12:39

Hi Eleanor! Glad to see I'm not the only one still attempting :)

It's freezing cold here, I just want to hunker down with cake.

Instead I went for a run, pretty sure that kind of dedication deserves a couple more ounces off!

Weirdly I'm getting better at moisturising my face. It would seem that respecting my body in one way is spilling over into other parts of life.

If I don't fit into the dress, I shall dazzle everyone with my face instead. ;)

MrsVoleTheVet · 31/10/2018 08:56

Maybe I'm the only one still at it, but I do find it weirdly motivating to report back!

Weigh-in day has seen 1lb down from last week, slow but sure :)

Sending supportive vibes to everyone else!

EleanorLavish · 31/10/2018 13:24

No, Im still here! just manically busy, still at 185 though.

MrsVoleTheVet · 07/11/2018 09:06

Weigh day!
I've been disciplined all week...

I've put on half a pound

EleanorLavish · 07/11/2018 14:12

Don't be down MrsV, I'm still 185. But busting it this week, so far so good.
Lets try to focus on next weeks scales? We can do this!

MrsVoleTheVet · 07/11/2018 22:16

Thanks Eleanor, here's to busting it!

MrsVoleTheVet · 21/11/2018 08:06

Looks like I've killed this thread off but for the record, I lost another couple of pounds last week so the uppy-downyness doesn't seem to have mattered long term.

Slow and steady wins the race, and all that.

Good luck to anyone else still going!
