This morning I decided to weigh myself on my DD scales as we don't own any. What a shock I'm 14stone 3lb I'm only 5ft tall. I knew my clothes were getting tight but this is ridiculous. It seems to have crept up since I retired. I need help big time.
I have always been a size 16/18 but at this rate I'll have to go to size 20. Then who knows what I would be if I don't do something about it. I'm going to plan some meals with food I have in. Also will cut out any alcohol and my biggest downfall crisps.
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Hi OP,

I think you might benefit from joining a weight loss chat group; would you like me to link the one I'm in? We're all looking to lose quite a bit of weight. Crisps are my biggest downfall too, they're delicious. Perhaps you could try those walkers baked ones as they're 50% less. Also, do you have any apps on your phone to track how much you're eating and exercise? My fitness pal is really good for this, you put in how much you weigh, how much you want to lose and it gives you a daily allowance; you then put in any food you eat and the exercise you do and it tracks it all for you and tells you the nutrition etc. Best of luck Thanks

Hi

I feel exactly the same. I weigh almost the same as you and I'm 5ft 3in. I feel awful and I'm just disgusted with myself. Despite that I'm really struggling to get motivated and just feel really down.

xx

I was over 16st and ate 4-5 packets of crisps a day. I now have maybe 2 or 3 a week. I like the walkers Sunbites popcorn instead now.

I did follow Slimming world as I wanted to get back into cooking from scratch and enjoying food.

For me I had tried MyFitnessPal but was cheating myself. I needed the accountability of facing someone else weighing me. Otherwise finding somewhere with scales and going and weighing every week at the same time was what I had been doing.

I've lost over 5st now. I really don't want to go back to what I was. I'm comfortable with my weight and like my shape.

You have to find what works for you and what will suit you. Good luck x
