Cider that was me last Wednesday! DH was off at 6 the next morning so we went to the pub for drinks; then got home and I made my famous heart-attack-in-a-wrap quesadillas (his death row meal); and I chilled a bottle of Champagne and got some Krispy Kreme doughnuts in as a special treat. Definitely not yer average Wednesday
Golden Sprint off to a good start. Got about 43K steps in and have eaten dust bunnies and green smoothies and drank 40000 gallons of water. That's not entirely unheard of for this time in the week, but I'm feeling pleased with myself and hoping that on my first weigh-in on Friday my extra little push towards Goldenness will be rewarded, especially as I'll keep the calories low for another two days (normally I only do two fast days on the trot if I've got plans which prevent me from doing them intermittently). It's tougher this time as I have less time, so am going out to get my steps in in the evening and getting back quite late. Less enjoyable, but at least it's a bit cooler, and makes it easier to swerve dinner. I was hula hooping in front of Netflix at 11pm last night to catch up with leesmum on the FitBit challenge!
I have a question for FitBit users. I know their calorie burn information is hopelessly inaccurate and I don't set any store by it, but I'm confused about something. If I do my steps earlier in the day, it seems to give me a higher overall calorie burn. For instance, last week:
Monday - 24,647 steps; 2,581 calories
Wednesday - 21,123 steps; 2,525 calories
That's a difference of 3.5K steps, but only 60 calories
The only difference is that on the Monday I was at my desk all day then went out in the early evening, whereas on the Weds I went out in the afternoon and was finished by 5ish. Surely that shouldn't make a difference? Is this just evidence of FitBit being ridiculously bad at estimating calorie burn, do we think?
