And what size does that make you?

I’m currently 10 st 10, I feel good at 10 stone but my goal is 9 st 10. I’m currently a 10/12, 10 stone will make me a solid size 10.

Current 11st 11 which makes me a 12 I prefer to be 9 1/2 which puts me 8/10

robotcartrainhat · 23/05/2018 22:40

10 stone and id be a size 8 at that weight.

stevie69 · 23/05/2018 23:16

I'm 5' 7" and 8st 12lb. That suits me just fine.

stevie69 · 23/05/2018 23:18

Size 8.

LivininaBox · 23/05/2018 23:24

Well this is interesting, I am 10 stone 10 and a size 14. At my lowest weight I was 9 st 12, I was a 12 on top and a 14 on my lower half, but my boobs were flat as pancakes and I did not look great. My ideal weight would prob be 10 stone 7.

smeerf · 23/05/2018 23:30

My ideal weight is 9.5 stone which makes me a 10/12 top (32F), 10 bottom. This is the smallest I've ever been as an adult, and what I was before I fell pregnant last year.

Currently 12 weeks pp and around 11.5 stone, wearing size 14.

Mymadworld · 23/05/2018 23:48

5ft6.5 and currently 11 stone and my size 12 jeans are tight snug. 9.5 stone is my ideal size 10 top and 10/12 bottom (big hips & thighs) but I struggle to keep to that so 10 stone is where I normally am and aim to be by summer.

passmetheloppers · 24/05/2018 00:04

Too old for this lark now but when I was in my 20's I was generally about 10.4 -10.7 and a size 12, occasionally a 10 depending on the shop and the fit.
5ft 7.5"

travellingwithoutmoving · 24/05/2018 05:22

mymadworld are you me? That's my exact current stats even down to the half inch! Although I'm wearing size 14 jeans that I bought post-DC2 when I was heavier.

I'd love to be under 10 again like my 20s but since kids I think 10.5 looks pretty good and allows me to fit in my main wardrobe of size 10/12 tops and 12 jeans comfortably. Plus brings me a bit further away from the overweight category of BMI.

Robin233 · 24/05/2018 06:30

5'8
In my twenties under 9 stone was perfect.
But in my fifties I starred to look too thin so am very happy at 9.7 now.
Weird how things change but glad I'm not the only one :)

sweatylemon · 24/05/2018 06:31

5.7 and 8 stone 7
Feels about right, not too big, not too small.

mrsjackrussell · 24/05/2018 06:35

Funny how the same height and weight equals totally different sizes. I'm 5.7 and weigh 9.11. I'm a small 12. If I lost around 4 lb I would be a 10 on the bottom as tend to carry fat round the waist but still 12 on top

Loulou0 · 24/05/2018 06:35

I'm 5'7 and 11 stone which makes me a size 12. Pre baby I was just under 10 stone and looked and felt so much better. My current goal 10 stone which makes me a nice size 10 sometimes 8.

littlemissalwaystired · 24/05/2018 06:43

8 stone 3lb. Some people say they'd look ill at this weight but it works for me, I've always been like it. Definitely don't starve myself eitherSmile size 6-8.

calmandbright · 24/05/2018 06:45

Currently 9st but just under, say 8st10 is perfect. I’m an 8-10. I’m really small framed though, and have been nearly 10 stone and looked overweight. I think it depends on your shape and how you carry the weight. Im only truly a size 8 under 8st6.

Petitepamplemousse · 24/05/2018 07:14

8at3 is definitely underweight for this height.

DomesticAnarchist · 24/05/2018 07:30

The variation in dress size, and therefore I imagine shape, is amazing.

I'm 5'7.5" and 8st 11, but most definitely a size 10.

I'm sure 15 years ago I was the same weight but definitely a size 8.

And if I go up by just a few kgs I get a massive arse and wobbly belly.

HillsBesideTheSea · 24/05/2018 07:35

At 11 stone when I was a size 8/10
And before anyone Hmm me it was muscle and I was training 20hrs a week.
but also in my early 20s pre kids

11 stone now would see a size 14 so meh weight is not what I focus on. I focus on the tape measure and how I feel, especially as clothes sizes fluctuate a size 10 now is NOT what a size 10 was 10 years ago!.

AliasGrape · 24/05/2018 07:40

12 stone is a size 14 for me and you know what? That’s pretty ideal for me, it’s definitely when I look my best and I’ve no real desire to get below it. I definitely weigh a lot heavier than I look somehow.

WyldDucks · 24/05/2018 07:54

I'm 5ft8 and my ideal weight is between 8.5 and 9 stone, I'm about 9 stone 2lbs at the moment but as child no.2 is only 6 months old I'm quite happy.

I'm a size 10 on the bottom and a 6-8 on top, even when I was a teenager and weighed 7.5stone I was still a size 8 on the bottom!

AndInOtherNews · 24/05/2018 07:57

I'm 5''7..Ive gone from 14st 9 to 10st 2 in the last year. At my biggest I was size 18, now I'm a 10 and am happy with that. Hoping to lose the 2lb that will get me to 10stone exactly- a pound of each thigh would be great Grin

FloatyFlo · 24/05/2018 08:06

I'm 5ft. 6in (and a bit Grin ) I'm currently 14st 1lb. To get into the healthy BMI I need to hit 11st 5lbs. I'm aiming for 10. I've lost 7lbs in the last 2.5 weeks. I'm currently a size 16. I think I'm heavier than I look. Even though I'm obviously overweight people are shocked when I tell them by how much and that my BMI is in the obese range.

It's gonna be a long road but I'm determined!

Murane · 24/05/2018 08:09

I genuinely don't understand how people can weigh so much and be so small! When I was 5ft7 and 10st I was fat. At 11st I was so fat I became ugly. At 12st (current weight post pregnancy) I can't even look at myself in the mirror. I need to be 9st to look acceptable at that height.

AndInOtherNews · 24/05/2018 08:12

Floaty - you've lost another 3lb! Well done!
Again, I can relate to what you said there..people say to me now that they cant believe I had that much weight to lose - I carried it everywhere, not just one area so I think it was less noticeable if that makes sense.

FloatyFlo · 24/05/2018 08:16

Likely a few reasons -

Everybody carries weight differently

Muscle is denser and heavier than fat

Maybe when you were 10st you saw yourself as fat but was actually not.

When I was aged 18 and between 9 and 10st I thought I was fat! Completely saw myself differently. Only looking back in old photos do I see how slim I was! I was a size 10! But I honestly though I was huge. Completely warped. I wish I was as fat now as I thought I was then lol
