Thanks maj, all luck gratefully received! Of course I could make a bit of my own luck by not eating loads of food lol😉
Your poor scales! Mine is the veteran of verbal abuse on a daily basis. But every now & again I praise it so it stays alive. It nearly got a trip to the sun last week but I thought himself would sign me off to the laughing house if he found it in our holiday home. Had to content myself with pharmacy scales.
Oh I like the thought of a new wardrobe tefal, my end goal is similar to yours, I’m aiming for 137’ish so at this point 24lbs to go. At the rate you’re losing, 140 could be your new mid May target? My style is lost I fear. I’m ok at going out clothes, as if I go out much! But day to day I feel rubbish. Doesn’t help that the weather can’t make its mind up. If I could just wear out out clothes or gym wear I’d be fine. Or pajamas, I’ve a good selection of them. Got to peel myself away from Netflix and go out!!!

lastqueenofscotland · 08/04/2018 15:52

Finished in an utterly awful 4:28 Angry
A few years ago I could run 3:45 Sad

However I feel far to sick to eat anything so good for the diet?!

Dontknowwhatimdoinghere · 08/04/2018 16:08

I weighed myself this morning and am 12 stone 8.5 lbs which I much prefer to 13 stone!

I did ok yesterday, I didn't eat much at all although I did have a small piece of home made cheesecake because it needed eating up!

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 08/04/2018 16:16

Well done lasty. Sounds very good to me Smile

I've found as I've got older that comparing myself to 'few years ago' me is a recipe for misery. Under 4.5 is a great time.

And I'm sure you already know this but post-run sicky not eating means there'll be no stopping you tomorrow! Enjoy it.

(Skulks off not admitting one and only marathon took over 5.5 hrs but it was very hilly, off road and 29 degrees)

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2018 16:35

Thanks brill last, totally agree no point in comparing other times. It is a huge accomplishment & you’re being v unfair on yourself being critical. Big virtual pat on the back, I’ve always thought I’d love to do a marathon but I know now it’s not for me. Filled with awe for those who do.
Day is going ok so far, that is all😉

MajestyRoyal · 08/04/2018 16:46

Last you have just ran a fucking marathon!!! Doesn't matter how long it took. There are people on this thread (me) who get breathless walking up the stairs. Be proud of yourself, you've done amazing!

FizzingWhizzbee · 08/04/2018 17:06

Last, 4:28 is a very respectable marathon time indeed, and I'm super (supper?) impressed with anyone that gets around 26.2 in whatever time, so well done you!

Softpebbles · 08/04/2018 20:35

Well done Last. Completing a marathon is a huge achievement. X

poorpaws · 08/04/2018 22:52

Last Id be delighted if I could do half what you have done. Give yourself a break, you did brilliantly.

Thank goodness the weekend is nearly over and I can start a new week. I’ve re-joined the lovely fitbit gang so I have to do a lot of steps next week, they are such a motivating bunch. If anyone fancies joining us on a midweek step challenge (all very friendly) shout out and one of the team who will know more than me will guide you along.

FizzingWhizzbee · 09/04/2018 07:29

Poorpaws - I would love to join the the Fitbit challenge, so if anyone can tell me how, that would be great.

I was 12st 6.8 this morning so 1) yay! and 2) that's pre-holiday mini goal 1 (see 12st 6.something on the scales) done and dusted. Technically, it's pre-holiday mini goal 2 (average 12st 7.something) done too, but i don't think it's really in the spirit of things to claim that one on day 1 of the weekSmile

Not2bObvious · 09/04/2018 07:31

Another week starting. Scales is up 2lb on Fridays weight, that’s my pattern the last few weeks. Before it could be up 3 or 4lb so maybe I’m getting better at weekends. I know it’s never a true weight it’s just disheartening but it’s done now.
On the dry from all bold things for the week - no wine/crisps/Easter eggs. Mfp locked & loaded😉
last hope you’re feeling ok today, you must be wrecked!

Not2bObvious · 09/04/2018 07:37

Hurrah fizz!! That’s brilliant, you know the drill, now you’ve seen it once it’ll be your new average soon. Eyes on the prize now, steely eyed determination all round

NanBoleyn · 09/04/2018 07:48

Down 1lb since last week, total half stone lost in 4 weeks. Am now 10st 3 so the 10st barrier is in sight! Am just under 5ft 2 so first goal is 9st 10 to get me back into the healthy BMI zone then will aim for somewhere in the middle of that zone.
Doing MFP 1200 calories per day plus running 4 times per week in preparation for May half marathon. Have been allowing myself one cheat day but think will try to avoid that this week if I can.. Good luck everyone with weigh ins!!

MissingPanda · 09/04/2018 07:53

last don't be too hard on yourself. That's a great time.

Just finished work, on my way to the gym then a weigh in before going home for breakfast. No idea what I'm having for tea tonight as I'm back in work so am at the mercy of what my colleague has decided to cook.

Stellar42 · 09/04/2018 08:04

I've haven't been with it at all for months. Kicked myself up the backside yesterday.

Scrambled eggs and smoked sausage breakfast. On small plate.

TheHoundsofLove · 09/04/2018 08:40

Well, we're all back to normal today!
I saw some photos of myself this weekend and have been spurred on! I'm 5'3 with a small frame so 11st4 is way too much for me. Ideally, I want to be below 9st, so a bit of a way to go yet. Let's do this!

TheHoundsofLove · 09/04/2018 08:41

Stellar I'm going to start using a smaller plate too!

FizzingWhizzbee · 09/04/2018 09:11

DH and I decided to try some small plates a while back. I ordered them from Amazon and they never turned up, then the seller disappeared so I never got my money back. And we're still using huge plates. Grump, grump, grump.

MissingPanda · 09/04/2018 10:29

Just weighed myself in Boots. Last Wednesday I was 12st 8.8lb. Today I'm 12st 3.1lb. Considering I've had a couple of blips this week I'm astounded but delighted Grin

Congrats to all losers. Keep at it everyone.

MajestyRoyal · 09/04/2018 10:46

Stellar the small plate works wonders. I can't fit more than 600 calories on mine. I did a roast dinner yesterday and it came in at 555 calories! I have to admit I fill half of my plate with veg though. And also drink a huge glass of cordial juice water and some green tea an hour before I eat.

I got new scales last night and weighed this morning. I'm loosing steadily. Take away tonight but it will be chicken in pita with lots of salad so I will be well within my calorie limit.

I feel so impatient. I have 2 stone (ish) to loose before I even get into the healthy BMI bracket. Do you think that if I get into a hot enough bath the fat will just melt away??

Hoolahoophop · 09/04/2018 10:49

Well done Last I'm in awe of marathon runners.

I think I could do with joining some Fitbit challenges for extra motivation.

Nan and Fizz well done you must be chuffed.

Tefal your app sounds interesting.

Not 2lb rather than 4lb from weekend sounds like a step in the right direction.

Ive been hiding as the waggon is rolling away from me. Still a new week. I'm going to embrace the average this week. Aiming for an extra 2000 steps on last week, 200 cal decrease on last weeks daily average (I had an average of 2000 last week, my allowance should be 1600) three Mosley hiit sessions and 5 days exercise logged in the Fitbit.

Also, DH bought a rowing machine on eBay last night, should arrive this week, maybe that will help.

StormTreader · 09/04/2018 14:53

Well, after three solid days of maintaining at 220, I had three days of 221...222.....223.... for no reason I can make out, so disappointing! I'm still sticking to my weekly aerobics and sports class, but it definitely feels at the moment like food and exercise have no relation to anything to do with weight :(

Not2bObvious · 09/04/2018 16:37

That’s a brilliant loss panda, you’re clearly getting it more right than wrong. Well done you.
I’ve been eating off a smaller plate for years, it’s a great way to bring in line out of control portions. I think you might just have to go to a different shop fizz, you made me smile, not laughing at your misfortune but it was like “oh well look what happened when we tried to buy smaller plates, maybe it’s fate, smaller plates not for us”😂
You sound a bit disheartened storm, I don’t blame you. It’s very hard when you’re putting in effort but not seeing a reward. If you did some troubleshooting would you think you know why? Are you tracking/measuring your food, drinking your water? Don’t lose heart, you didn’t get here overnight - habits and behaviour can be hard too change. My own weight has been very sticky for a long time, every now and again I think of secret eaters. And I know in my heart of hearts I’m nibbling here/there and it’s not always finding it’s way to Mfp. It adds up, as my plan leader says your body has the latest most accurate version of Mfp and sure as sh*t it records everything.

StormTreader · 09/04/2018 17:07

I'm hoping its that I had some salty food Friday morning and Saturday and am retaining water, but at the moment I'm secretly convinced that this is as low as I'll ever go - I always seem to bounce right back to 224 somehow - I'm exactly where I was 2 months ago before I added the aerobics. I'm calling Shenanigans on this whole food+exercise = weight business! ;) Soldiering on, soldiering on....

Therealjudgejudy · 09/04/2018 17:13

Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a good weekend.

All went well at the hospital, thanks for all that asked. I was back in the gym Saturday! Hi @Not...You are spot on, I'm in IrelandSmile.

Had a lovely quiet gym all to myself at 7 bells this morning. Just home from work and need to think about cooking when all I want to eat is crisps....
