Aww so gorgeous, totally worth it.

I've had a good day. Got some exercise in and stayed just under my calorie allowance.

Good luck with the marathon queen.

lastqueenofscotland · 06/04/2018 23:22

The main thing about the marathon I am looking forward to is the 100000% guilt free rose wine afterward and

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 07:55

Have a great run, Last!

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2018 08:13

Wow last - best of luck for the marathon, you can have all the rosé and all for food for doing that! I hope you managed to get a good carb load in.
Well’ish behaved Friday night from a calorie POV but if measured in terms of eating crap vs good stuff, ehh bit sketchy. I spent so much of yesterday prepping/cooking by the time dinner came around I couldn’t stomach it. Could stomach a lot of Easter egg after though...really have to hide them from me. But all in all not far off my 1700 and scales down another smidge. Average is now around 2lb up on last weeks & one day to go so it looks like the holiday didn’t do that much damage.
Anyone doing anything nice today?

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 07/04/2018 08:21

Good luck last. Have a great run. Enjoy all the food and Wine

TheHoundsofLove · 07/04/2018 09:05

Yes, good luck Last ! Wine
Well, I've lost a lb this week, which I'm really pleased with. Should be better next week, once DH and DS are back at work/school!

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 09:49

We're (probably) going to a local children's zoo, assuming the weather holds. Unless DH drags me off to listen to a fiendishly expensive speaker he wants to buy. DD will absolutely love thatConfused

I'm kinda cheating on diet today, kinda not. I'll be within my calories, but not eating particularly healthily, as we're having brunch and then early dinner, both naughtier choices. Eating early usually means the scales are kind to me the following day - which I really hope they are! 12st 8.6 today.

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2018 10:10

Meh - I think today is going to be a bit cheaty for me too fizz, just inhaled a big double choc chip cookie. My only defense is totm but that’s a weak one, just a bit greedy. Enjoy the zoo, be great if the rain stayed off. I have to bring bigger dd around the shops later while littler dd goes to a party. I need to go to the food shops before then so I might try do that in the form of a long’ish jog. When quim said yesterday about having to get the daily walk in I was nodding along. I feel antsy if I don’t get a good walk or jog in.
Miscalculated my average gain, it’s more like 3lb not 2lb, doing the maths I’d say that’s spot on. Well at least I know what I need to drop to get back to weighloss territory.

MajestyRoyal · 07/04/2018 11:47

Raining here too pretty heavily. I'm going to attempt a walk midday. I live in such a beautiful place and I never take advantage of the scenery or calmness. Everything is just so quiet and less chaotic, so daily walks will be lovely.

I have (so far) not snacked on anything. Drank lots up to now. Will bundle DC up and go off out with the pram after dinner. I was up .6 pounds this morning so I'm hoping to loose the pound that I'm stuck on for good this week.

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 07/04/2018 16:54

My car is FULL of cake. It's all left over from a WI bake sale and it's all homemade and delicious.

I've only had three bits so far. I think I should get a medal GrinCake

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 18:19

Of say that's a win so far Kick! Have you need doing WI long? I am quite tempted by our local branch, just worried I'll be a lot younger than everyone else. But I like talks and craft and cake, so otherwise I feel I would fit in wellSmile

I'm rethinking dinner the moment. I also fell into the cake trap when we went to the zoo cafe. I fully intended to just have a cuppa, big fail there. So I have nowhere near enough calories for the planned risotto. Hmmm.

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 18:21

Oh, and I can't even rescue myself my using my exercise calories, because I left my Fitbit charging while I was in the shower and then forgot to put it back on. What an idiot.

poorpaws · 07/04/2018 19:35

Is anyone else totally sick of the tiny chocolate bars that are now in the multi packs? Yes I get the obesity crisis and yes I am a chocoholic but really! After a long dog walk, another 2 hour stint in the garden (and because it is the weekend) I decided to have a multi-pack Crunchie, two bites and it’s gone. I then tried a multi-pack KitKat and that was tiny too so I ended up having another Crunchie and now I just want more. These bars are only big enough to annoy you and I end up eating far more than I would with just an average sized bar.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend and hope the marathon went well.

lastqueenofscotland · 07/04/2018 20:11

The marathon is tomorrow... just cried getting my kit ready... could be a long day Blush

MajestyRoyal · 07/04/2018 20:23

All of this talk about cake! It's a good job I don't have any to eat. Grin I'm going to get a biscuit instead.

Last I hope your marathon goes well! Good luck Smile

I enjoyed a nice hour long walk today, and stuck within my calorie limit. Plus did plenty of cleaning and running round after DS so I hopefully burned some calories. I've found it so easy if I'm honest, but I have to be completely focused on loosing weight. Is anyone else like that? I have to be constantly thinking about dieting or else I start the day with a salad and finish it with 3827 calories. But like I said, I feel really really focused at the moment so hopefully my roast dinner tomorrow won't tempt me to over eat. Good luck to everyone else Smile

KickBishopBrennanUpTheArse · 07/04/2018 21:05

fizzing I'm not actually a member. I work for a charity and they donated the surplus to us for another event tonight. I have been tempted to join though. It's a new wi and the members are mostly around my age (40s) or younger. They have a choir and a book group and have some interesting speakers. There's just something about joining a wi that feels like a step too far into middle age!

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 21:39

Haha, Kick - you summed up my feelings perfectly!

Maj I am exactly the same - unless I really focus, the later in the day it gets, the higher my calorie-per-hour consumption goes!

I have some non-diet advice for you all tonight: if you're tempted to watch the film Hurricane Heist at any point in the future, then don't. It is utter garbage.

poorpaws · 07/04/2018 22:27

Last so sorry I got the wrong day. Don’t worry, you’ll be great. I hope you get a good nights sleep and this time tomorrow it will all be over.

I gave in to a chocolate feast today AGAIN. Yet again I did it the day before weigh day, I don’t think I will ever learn.

I don’t like weekends, I eat too much so roll on Monday.

Hope you all have a good Sunday especially Last.

Not2bObvious · 07/04/2018 22:32

I wish they had WI over here, the only thing like it is a countrywomen association. As I live in the city, nothing for me. Unless the ignore you at the school gates club exists and I’m the one on the outside😔 Life’s a bit lonely these days. Thank the heavens for my never ending hobby that I never really excel at, aka trying to lose weight!
Another snaffled Easter egg, jeez what is wrong with me? (I do know the answer, greedy pants, just a moan😉)

FizzingWhizzbee · 07/04/2018 22:38

Weekenditis is many a Slenderista's enemy - me included!

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2018 07:59

The results are in, my average is up 3.1lb so ideally I would like to get shot of that over the next 2 weeks. Doable if I stick to my plan.
Nice & sunny at the moment but rain expected later. Should get a walk or jog in later this morning. Usually only eat 2 meals on Sunday, helps undo a bit of the previous 2 days.
Hope you do great today at the marathon last
How you feeling judy? I hope your procedure went without hitch. I had a day procedure under GA once, it took me a far few days to recover. Made me fierce weepy.
How’s the rest of the new recruits? C’mon all check in, I love me a bit of diet talk of a Sunday morning😉

TefalTester123 · 08/04/2018 09:27

I was 157 on 22 Feb. Was 147.6 this morning. Have mfp set to lose half pound a week but am also exercising and trying not to eat back cals. 5ft 2.5 tall, age 55, eating 1480 a day, no special diet, not low carb. Was aiming for 150 by Mid May but looks like I'll be well under that.

I think the key thing is my calorie allowance is large enough to be manageable, so less likely to go over it and then give in to multiple temptations.

Have also developed a desert of 50-100g frozen blueberries in 100g Total 0%. Yoghurt freezes a bit to be sort of ice cream. Could blend it but can't be bothered.
Have also cut the amount of oil I'm using to fry to e.g. half tsp instead of 1 tsp recently.
Easy life is my motto for all of this.

Not2bObvious · 08/04/2018 10:12

That’s absolutely brilliant tefal, couldn’t agree more on a not to severe deficit. Wow, you must have really stuck to it. Do you want to lose much more or stick to around this weight?
I spent a while prepping for lunch, then the last while filling in Mfp for the week. I’m at around 1500-1600 a day, so that gives me 100-200 a day to play with. Or I might hang onto them for the weekend. I absolutely have to stick to my average over the week. No more faffing (she sez again)

MajestyRoyal · 08/04/2018 11:31

Tefal that's brilliant!

Not. I'm sending weight loss luck over to you Smile

I cannot check in as my scales are broken (no, really). I think they've been hit accidentally with the bathroom door as this morning they repeatedly said I was just 80 pounds I wish Grin

In the meantime I will be measuring my body and then weigh again when I buy new scales. I will also keep them downstairs so they can't get attacked by a door.

Happy Sunday everyone

TefalTester123 · 08/04/2018 12:05

Thanks for the compliments!

If I remember rightly 140 is roughly the top of my normal weight range, so definitely want to get to that.

Tried on some clothes and can now get into jeans I had consigned to back of cupboard. Summer dresses from last year are looking a bit baggy. Am considering trying to get replacement for at least one of them on eBay in a smaller size.

Trying to put off buying new for as long as possible. Might buy a new pair of shoes or a necklace instead to go with a virtually unworn dress that I now fit.
I did treat myself to an app called Stylebook that allows you to upload pictures of clothes you have/want and then plan outfits. Think my wardrobe is going to get a good cull in the coming months.
