You are simply confusing me now! But at least I know that if any new name pops up on the carboholics threads it must be froggy

GythaOggsFrog · 02/05/2007 10:26

Is this better?

Budababe · 02/05/2007 10:32

Well I am totally confused - but that is not unusual!

Hi there all. Well had my day OFF on Monday but was back on plan yesterday. Unfortunately have gained nearly a kilo - my own fault.

Another proper day on plan today will hopefully help.

And am planning a tidying/sorting day at home (although am just back from helping to take DS's class swimming). Just had a late b'fast of ham and cream cheese and am off to drink some water and take my supplements. Feeling a bit "bunged up" too.

Any nice meals planned this week? We are having ommlette and salad tonight and steak and salad tomorrow night.

Budababe · 02/05/2007 12:42

Oh God. Guess what I just had for lunch?

A cheese sandwich.

Yes.

I didn't even think. Just made it and ate it. It wasn't even nice.

GythaOggsFrog · 02/05/2007 14:25

Doh!

GythaOggsFrog · 02/05/2007 14:30

Salmon and mayo for breakfast.

Feta salad for lunch....

Not nearly enough water though

Crotchety · 02/05/2007 15:33

(Slinks back into thread after unauthorised absence of over 4 months) Erm hello all, can I come back? The wagon disapeared before Christmas and it has taken a rather depressing experience in an M&S changing room at the weekend to get me to go looking for it. Have put about 3/4 stone back on and rather too many inches.(Having said that it still remains a mystery to me what shape woman M&S have in mind for their clothes...)

Anyway back on straight and narrow.

So - Mushrooms - good or bad? - the carb sites seem to differ. Just grilled a large field mushroom for lunch with melted cheese.

GythaOggsFrog · 02/05/2007 17:15

Yo Crotchety, long time no see.

Mushrooms okay. I've got them at 2g per 100g.

Budababe · 02/05/2007 17:16

Doh is right GOF!

Been good since though. Having an ommlette for dinner. Also haven't had enough water - off to rectify that now.

Strawb even when we're thin we'll probably still be the wrong shape...The waists are always far too big and hips far too small...

Crotchety · 02/05/2007 21:27

And thanks Froggie - I looked at several internet carb counters and 100g mushrooms came in at anywhere between 0.4 and 5.0. So I'll go with your 2 as a happy medium.

OrmIrian · 03/05/2007 10:55

I have lost 8lbs since last week . Bit dodgy possibly as I only weigh myself on my mums ancient scales that usually weigh a few pound under but at least they are consistently inaccurate iyswim. Judging by what the GPs scales put me at a few days before, and the difference between now and last wed I reckon I'm approx 10s 12/13. OK...not exactly scientific but it will do me. No inches lost though Which is what really matters.

GythaOggsFrog · 03/05/2007 11:12

Wow.....well done

OrmIrian · 03/05/2007 11:27

Oooh I wish Gythafrogperson .

Crotchety · 03/05/2007 11:33

How have you done that Ormirian? Is it induction?

OrmIrian · 03/05/2007 11:36

Yes. Just induction. Cutting out wine always helps me too. But mainly I think that I have a mild wheat intolerance and it makes me bloat and retain fluid. Most of the time i don't notice it - until I stop eating it.

Crotchety · 03/05/2007 11:39

Yes - 5 days back on sort-of-induction and the bloaty feeling has gone for me too. I don't think I am wheat intolerant but I had just got used to that feeling really. I find it difficult to avoid the wine if DH opens a bottle though - do you think it does hold things up?

OrmIrian · 03/05/2007 11:41

I'm afraid it does for me. Mostly because I find it hard to stick to just one glass once DH has opened the bottle. I am sticking to gin and diet tonic atm if I want a drink. I didn't order any wine from Mr Sainsbury this week to make it easier. 2 BBQs to go to this weekend though.....

Could someone please give a link to a sensible carb counter that doesn't measure things in cups (aargh Atkins site)?

Budababe · 03/05/2007 17:48

Hanging my head in shame here. Not been good at all.

In fact just had half a packet of salt & vinegar crisps. Only reason I didn't have the whole packet is that DS spotted them!

And I'm having pasta for dinner.

And I'm out tomorrow night. With wine and food and dessert.

But I hereby pledge to get back on track on Saturday.

Omrian - well done.
