Went to SW and had a massive shock. I was more than I thought, a lot more.
Anyone want to be a buddy for a very long weight loss journey?
I'm guessing my BMI is late 40s. Blush
Disgusted with myself.

Job interview Monday - so nervous. Been a sahp for a year, I've got it in my head I won't get it and will be judged for my weight :(

That's great! What is the job?
Try to make wise choices at nans - load up on veg, remove any fat you see etc.

pinkunicornsarefluffy · 06/01/2017 17:14

Would your nan cook you some separate potatoes in some frylite if you asked her to? Failing that, just syn them and really limit the syns in everything else. Hard if there is lovely desserts though! Like everything it is will power which is the only thing that can stop you, and it is the one thing I lack the most when it comes to tasty food!

As my consultant says, one bad meal will not break the bank, its all the other choices you make for the other 20 meals that week.

Somebody suggested eggs upthread for a quick meal which is a good idea. I had forgotten that I ate a lot of eggs when I started SW, I used to poach them in the microwave. I like them on toast though, but ok if syn or Hex it.

It's for a care assistant in a nursing home :) it's part time, on Mat leave still but found my old job quite tiring and demanding.
I will definitely ask about if she will cook potatoes separately.
Good thinking re one meals out of 20 never thought of it like that.

My friend who is a personal trainer came round today, and she is going to help me get a bit more active - she's going to give me exercises I can do at home - and gradually build up to doing more.

I'm feeling quite positive that I might actually be able to keep,up with this plan. It might work.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 06/01/2017 20:45

SDT that's really good :) you can do it, the fact your feeling positive about it is a good start.

Well done OP!

That's an amazing loss so far, keep up the good work!

I lost 8lbs in 3 weeks however I put 4.5lbs on over xmas so am working hard to lose that and more.

Ideally seeing as I'm pregnant, I'd like to lose a stone by the time my baby arrives, that way il have less to lose once he's here although I'm sure he'll more than help my weight loss!

OP and others: keep going! It's such a bugger when you've been trying hard and feeling deprived and everything, and actually gain - but we all know that it will eventually shift if we keep on. Lord, though, it's dull at times...

Good luck tomorrow anyway, OP! I'm back at work "properly" tomorrow, but I'm determined to be organised so have hardboiled some eggs to take with salad. I've decided to do SW at home (no group accessible from where I am, unfortunately, as have had great success with that previously) and then to join the new low carb bootcamp in February: hoping s few weeks of SW will help me stick to it more easily...

Can I join? starting on Monday week as I'm finally having my oven put in next week after my old one broke at the beginning of December. I need a couple of days of binging on things you need to cook in the oven before I start properly. Trying to do it with reduced portion sizes, drinking lots of water and no snacking on crap. I lost a stone in 2016 so now I'm 19st 1lb. I need to lose about 10st to have a healthy BMI as i'm really short but worried about looking like a deflated balloon. So I'm aiming for 5 stone and i'll see what I look like then.

ICantThinkOfAUsernameH · 27/01/2017 18:00

Of course you can, sorry slow reply I've been eating shit and starting again Blush

Hello! I was on another thread but I can't find it. Angry

I weighed myself a couple of weeks ago and was shocked that I am 16st 13lbs. At 5"5 I have about 7 stone to loose.

I have downloaded my fitness pal and Strava cut down on my calorie intake and started cycling again. I managed 8 miles today and it did feel a bit easier than the last couple of times I did it.

I have never been so unfit or as big and I feel awful, it's really affecting my confidence.
