None of my clothes fit anymore, I feel disgusting, and am two sizes too big for the bridesmaids dress I have to wear in July. AAAARRRRGGHHHHH!!!

Desperate times call for desperate measures- who's with me?!

meeee :D tell me how to do it. None of my clothes are fitting and its coming up for Summer!

IgglePiggleIsDead · 01/05/2016 14:37

I am! I need to lose 2 stone ideally but a stone off by the end of this month would be great. I started monday using MFP and have already lost 5.6lbs so I'm feeling very motivated!

happydollplease · 01/05/2016 17:21

Me definitely. Nearly lost 5 stone already but still a few more to go Blush. Aiming for a stone gone this month but feel like it's an impossible goal.

Cjbusymummy · 01/05/2016 19:44

How are you lovely ladies planning on losing the weight? I've also been so down about my weight gain after having two babies back to back. I'm determined to get back to my prepregnancy weight. So far I'm down 1 stone in a month. Just need the motivation to keep going 😩

GinIsIn · 01/05/2016 19:53

Ok let's do this!! I have two to lose total, once the first one is done it will feel a bit less of an uphill struggle!!

I have lost an awful lot of weight on the past, and I know I can do it if I stick to it. Right. Carbs are OUT. Wine is for weekends only. I am going to do Dukan and the gym and running. And 2 litres of water a day, and a minimum of 12000 steps.

WE CAN DO IT!! What does everyone else plan on doing?

Shall we check in each day with what we've eaten and done, and pounds lost?

iemma321q · 01/05/2016 19:56

Please can I join you? Had a baby seven months ago. Need to lose at least a stone.

BareFacedKitty · 01/05/2016 19:56

I'm in! I've 1.5 stone to shift, my diet is appalling. I'm good on the exercise front but have zero self control. I've done it before though, so I'll do it again! My plan is proper food and instead of processed rubbish as snacks, make better choices. Around 1500kcals daily and the requisite 2l of water. Fingers crossed!

happydollplease · 01/05/2016 20:30

I've lost 4 stone 11 pounds so far just by making better food choices and cutting out fizzy drinks (my weakness). I haven't cut out any carbs or anything like that as I love them too much!

Never stepped foot in a gym, only exercise I've done is walking and swimming once a week.

Need to lose 3 pounds to get to a total of 5 stone, need to lose 3 stone 4 to get to a healthy weight for my height. Been stuck in a rut so really need some motivation to get the last stones off.

GinIsIn · 01/05/2016 20:42

happydoll - well done!!! You have done so well already, you have got this! I went from a size 24 to an 8 years ago and I know how hard it is. I have piled some back on and you are doing brilliantly so if you could give me any tips that would be great!

OP posts:
GinIsIn · 01/05/2016 20:44

iemma321q - of course you can!

GinIsIn · 01/05/2016 20:45

BareFacedKitty - self-control is my problem too. You bully me, and I'll bully you and we will get there! Smile

I'm in. Have piled on 3 stone in the last 2 years and none of my summer clothes fit.

GinIsIn · 01/05/2016 20:48

Right. Day 1:
weight: 11.7
Food: fat free yogurt for breakfast, a grilled chicken breast for lunch, 200g of fillet steak for dinner. But I have accidentally had 2 large glasses of wine too....
Exercise: 2 hour dog walk, 3 hours' spring cleaning
Water: lots - need the loo every 5 bloody seconds!!

I would like to loose about a stone and a half.
I'm 5 ft and today 9st9lb .
I have done low carb before and it shifts the weight but I feel ill on it so am as of today doing MFP.

IgglePiggleIsDead · 01/05/2016 22:04

Not had a great day but came just under my calorie allowance at least so here goes..
Weight: 10.10
Breakfast: veggie protein graze box ( don't usually eat breakfast but felt peckish)
Lunch: vegetable soup with a sandwich thin with philadelphia spread
Tea: bean burger chopped up in 2 wholemeal wraps with salad and salsa
Snacks: nakd bar, individual bag of skinny popcorn and a treatsize twirl
Drinks: 2 litres of water and 3 cans of pepsi max

As I said not my best day but food shop is tomorrow so I just had what was in. Will step it up a notch tomorrow.

I'm trying to cut down on the pepsi max (total addict) so drinking lots of water but in need of something with flavour. Do any of you drink any flavoured teas? Any recommendations?

happydollplease · 02/05/2016 08:28

I can't even list what I had yesterday I ate so muchGrin.

Focused today. Banana for breakfast, chicken/lettuce/cucumber/sweetcorn and light mayo for dinner, sausage casserole (reduced fat sausagea) and homemade crusty bread for tea.

HairsprayQueen · 02/05/2016 08:38

I'm in for this- I have a ton to lose so a stone this month will be good to get off to start.

I'm MFPing to keep track.

OnlyHereForTheCamping · 02/05/2016 08:48

I need to lose 1/2 a stone can I join? I have been emotional eating like a fool for a few weeks and need to find a way to stop, I am too scared to stand on the scales.

lougle · 02/05/2016 09:24

A stone in a month is quite ambitious. You'd need a 49,000 calorie deficit for the month, which is 1600 calories per day. I'm 5'8" and weighed 69.3kg last month. According to healthyeater.com/flexible-dieting-calculator my TDEE is 1714 calories. So for me to have a deficit of 1600 calories, I'd either have to eat 114 calories per day, or do so much exercise that I burned off 1100 of the 1200 calories I ate.

I've lost 4.6kg (10lbs) in one month with 1200 calories per day. That's good enough for me.

GinIsIn · 02/05/2016 11:38

Hurrah! Weight down to 11.5 already - that's 2lbs gone, yaaaay! What's everyone eating today? I am had yogurt for breakfast, am having an omelette for lunch and then grilled chicken breast for supper. And lots of Spring cleaning!

OP posts:
GinIsIn · 02/05/2016 11:40

lougle - it's perfectly doable the first month as you lose weight fastest at the beginning of a diet. I won't be expecting to lose the same amount next month too.

OP posts:
kirinm · 02/05/2016 11:43

Can I join? I'm cutting out booze and snacking this month with the aim of trying to stay low carb except after exercise. I feel gross!

BabyGanoush · 02/05/2016 11:43

Lougle, good to see it mathematically explained...

A stone in a month is a lot!

Am hoping to lose 2kg this month, which seems ambitious enough for me Grin

Xoticdreamz · 02/05/2016 11:48

Brilliant Fenella !
Scales said 9st 6lb this morning so that's 3lb down , I was really good yesterday and the weight in the morning was from a weekend off total greed !
Today I plan some soup then a M and S low cal meal with salad .
I'm working a 8-2am shift tonight so will leave some cals for then as well .
I have some ringo crisps at 67 cals a packet which I love .

IgglePiggleIsDead · 02/05/2016 13:43

Looks like everyone is off to a good start! Smile
I had planned to do week 2 day 1 of couch25k this morning but I opened my eyes, heard the rain and went back to sleep Grin I'll do tomorrow though whatever the weather.
I had a protein bar this morning and lunch is two falafels in a wrap with some salad and salsa and tea will be lasagne with courgette instead of the pasta sheets. Already had 1.5 litres of water, so far so good!
