Thorntons mini caramel, huh? I ate a whole packet of chocolate biscuits yesterday afternoon. But then I'm so much in denial about my weight that I haven't even reached the 'my diet will start tomorrow' stage. Love the cheese remarks, too.

Lisa78 · 20/04/2004 21:36

Go for it oldiemum, join our club!

Heathcliffscathy · 20/04/2004 21:52

Thanks, sophable. I do need to diet and I know what I should and should not eat, so I think I'll start right now, i.e. after having had macaroni cheese for lunch . But I don't really want to pay WW for this. So I'll hang around the weight-loss threads and hope that will keep me virtuous.

Lisa78 · 21/04/2004 16:58

So what did you have to eat in the end Sophable! Tell me in DETAIL so I can have the virtual version of your meal!

Anyone know how many bonus points I get for some very vigourous household cleaning? I'm knackered! But my house is spotless - well apart from the living room which I shall tackle after dinner!

Heathcliffscathy · 21/04/2004 18:57

it's tomorrow lisa. i'll let you know tho. at the moment it's looking like pasta with tomato sauce (boring )...with lots of wine

I have a tip not sure if it will appeal to many though but I love them

Mr Kipling French Fancies

1.5 points each!!!!

What I try to do which is a bit contraversial is have small breakfast as little as poss at lunch so ive plenty of points to snack with/have nice tea with at the end of the day.

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 19:02

Becca.....I think you have got the wrong end of the stick with the WW plan!! It is supposed to be a HEALTHY EATING PLAN not an EAT AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE AND EAT A BOX OF FRENCH FANCIES PLAN!!

Lisa78 · 21/04/2004 19:52

sorry collision, I am with Becca on this one! Only mine is my thorntons mini caramel slices

collision · 21/04/2004 20:07

haha!! The good thing with WW is that it does cater for everyone and you can eat what you like if you are within the points!!

CountessDracula · 21/04/2004 20:21

a good one is No-no's fat free italian herb topped crackers - great for nibbling with a drink and only 1 point for 3 - they are quite big too.

marthamoo · 21/04/2004 20:26

Fab lollies are good of an evening when you just have to put something in your mouth (ooer). Only 1 point.

Vodka (1 pub measure) amd diet tonic is only 1 point - much better than wine.

Half fat cheese slices (OK, I know they are not like real cheese but do you want to lose weiight or what?!) are only 1 point - you can grill one on a crumpet for a 2 point snack.

And I drink masses of Diet Coke with lemon to keep me going between meals. My teeth will go black and fall out but, hell, I'll be thin

Morgan · 21/04/2004 21:01

I leave plenty of points for the pm too -

recommendations:-

La Vache qui Rit - light 1/2 point per triangle good on toast and ryvita and instead of butter.

Walkers french fries crisps 1.5 per pack

Snack a jacks - 2 points a pack caramel ones are good if you fancy someting sweet.

WW crunchy 1.5 point peanut bars are yummy too!!

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 21:02

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I am sorry but you lot are banishe d to slimming world

Beccarollover · 21/04/2004 21:06

Yep fully agree the whole point of points (hey theres a slogan in there) is that as long as you dont go over you will be consuming the right amount of calories/sat fat to lose weight.

Be that in cheeseburgers and a bottle of diet coke or mounds of lean meat and salad it doesnt matter

DISCLAIMER - please take a multivit in planning on living on my box of french fancies a day plan

marthamoo · 21/04/2004 21:09

You can have six Cadbury's Creme Eggs a day....and still have two points left for a small piece of fruit or a couple of Ryvita.

Codswallop · 21/04/2004 21:10

or drink all your allowance and fall asleep for the rest of the day!
