Right, it is so flabby and vile that something has to be done. Feeling well enough to start doing situps etc now.

Who wants to join me?

And who knows some good pilates style exercises that I can do?

oh come on you lot, there must be someone else out there who needs toning up! I can't do it on my own FFS!

Maybe we should reinstate the 30/40/50 situps a day club. Coddy could get her flab fighting whip out to beat us all into submission

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 16:57

I've got 5 weeks before I go on holiday. If I start doing situps today how much 'wobble' can I lose? Its all that horrible apres baby jelly belly I'm afraid.

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 17:03

Lydia if you are good and do them every day you will be in much much better beach shape I promise!

Tex111 · 19/04/2004 17:14

Yes! Count me in. Tried on bathing suits yesterday and ended up buying a one piece for the first time in my life. Still too much wobbly baby belly. Will the exercise help tighten up the loose skin too or is that a gift for life?

Lisa78 · 19/04/2004 17:17

I'd like to join in - can I do sit ups with my new prolapse, does anyone know? Don't want to find my cervix at my knees!

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 17:18

Lisa I don't know about that, I would check with your doctor or midwife first though.

lydialemon · 19/04/2004 17:28

How many are we going to do a day? I'm going to have to do mine whilst DS2 is in Nursery, otherwise I'll end up with him sitting on me (and they'll laugh)

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 17:34

well I think we should start with 40 and work up from there. Is that too many for anyone? Obv you are welcome to do more if you like but you must do 40 a day even if you don't feel like it.

OP posts:
Tex111 · 19/04/2004 17:37

That sounds great. Any particular style that you recommend - sit-up, crunch, etc? It's been a looong time for me.

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 17:39

Entirely up to you. Do them in a slow and controlled way, none of the squaddie style super fast ones!!

Browbeaten · 19/04/2004 17:59

May I join in too as way too much overhang at the moment.

Spod · 19/04/2004 18:02

count me in! dd 6 months now and i wanna lose the flabby bits.... know pilates exercises too... when i get more time i shall post instructions if you want CD?

Blu · 19/04/2004 18:02

CD, PLEASE declare war on mine too, I'm going on holiday in 3 weeks and shall have to wear a beach hut at all times unless something radical happens....

CountessDracula · 19/04/2004 18:03

I am the Hitler of flab

OP posts:
Spod · 19/04/2004 18:06

do we have to report how many sits ups we're doing to you ?

gemilou · 19/04/2004 18:06

Can I join in, started diet today so it would be a good time to start sit ups to

kiwisbird · 19/04/2004 18:16

I'm there, otherwise in great nick, belly just keeps expanding I HATE it, I'm not technically overweight but should be, I eat far too much rubbish and drink far too much alcohol and do no exercise...

sarochka · 19/04/2004 18:21

I'd like to join in too - belly needs a warning on it at the moment. Very depressing. Maybe this'll help get it back into some sort of shape!

champs · 19/04/2004 19:52

I'd like to join in too. my belly has waged war on me, my thighs and arms have joined forces and my waist is MIA to top all that my willpower has gone AWOL!!!
can i do my 40 spread out in the day? am very unfit.

suzywong · 19/04/2004 19:54

I barely feel up to sitting up at all.
It's been a full on day and the most static time I have had is four minutes.
Hey ho musn't grumble, I'm with you in spirit and will start tomorrow

maisystar · 19/04/2004 20:18

can i join too? for some obscure reason (pregnancy, wine, chocolate, guiness, sheer lazyness) my 'waist' measures the same as my boobs and hips . horrible and apparently very unhealthy
