How can I lose 10lbs before my holiday on, er, Monday?

WhatsGoingOnEh · 12/08/2014 23:47

In a panic. Was meant to start diet in May but one thing (or rather, one pizza) led to another and now I've got less than a week.

I'm 5'6" and look great at 9st 7. This morning I was 10st 11! Shiiiiiiiit!

What can I do? I really REALLY need to crash some of this off. I don't care if it's unhealthy, it's only for a few days and I can do it properly when I get home.

Any and all ideas MASSIVELY gratefully received. What are your tried and tested tricks? Thank you!

DH made his awesome cheese pasta.
Cals 412 Carbs 74 Fat 6 Protien 16 Sodium 899 Angry

I was going to have a half portion and make up with salad but it is creamy cheesy goodness, didn't have garlic bread though.

I could go for falling on a cake. Malteasers are magic, less than 200 cals per bag regardless of bag size

BoffinMum · 20/08/2014 19:45

It's also the way the wine deliberately stands next to the cake, flaunting its little calorific excitement at us as it dives up into our mouths.

Give up life and spend eight hours per day at the gym and eat about 700 calories a day. Bingo. Job done Grin

ScarlettInSpace · 20/08/2014 20:42

I've just had a really hot bath that should be good for a pound or two?

NellVarnish · 21/08/2014 00:41

Thanks BoffinMum - interesting. Will have a shufti next time I'm buying some ShitterTea in H&B.

Talking of which ... forgive me Diet Rebels for I have sinned and had two bloody buggery feckin slices of granary bread with Lurpak. Thank you Mary Bloody Berry.

4lbs off since Monday and with fatpants the bridesmaid dress zips up woooooohoooooo!

Just got to keep on it til Saturday... oh and then crack on dropping another 2 stone before my own wedding next June Grin

Itsfab · 21/08/2014 08:09

Well done Scarlett!!

I am still the same but at least I am not up and AF has come today so I had better be less by the end otherwise I will looking around for someone to blame! Grin.

Wish me luck, off to do the shoe shopping. Worst case, the kids could need 8 pairs between them. Most was nine..

ScarlettInSpace · 21/08/2014 08:11

itsfab maintaining weight when AF is due is as good as losing lbs IMO Wink

WhatsGoingOnEh · 21/08/2014 08:24

Scarlett - yay! Congrats! And you can easily drop another couple by Saturday. :)

Itsfab - how many kids do you have?!?!

I'm 10st 9 this morning. Last day of holiday. Looking forward to coming home and going on a proper diet. And using the gym membership card that is currently languishing in my handbag.

Fiancé seems ok, I don't know WHAT that big emotional meltdown was all about. Hmm Gin? That's another reason for me to get back in the gym and eat healthily. Stop me being such a nutjob.

The kids are with their dad all next week so I can have a total week of gym, ridiculous eating, work and sleeeeeeep.

It's all gone wrong! This morning I've had two rashers of fried bacon, a croissant ! and half a packet of chocolste buttons. Wtaf.

JudysPriest · 21/08/2014 11:07

Ignore it, it never happened! Right back on the bandwagon!

hellsbellsmelons · 21/08/2014 11:07

WTAF indeed - sounds vile!!!
Next time - 2 rashers of grilled back and some scrambled eggs or an omlette, with mushrooms or grilled tomatoes. That should also keep you fuller for longer.

Forget what's happened so far and focus on the rest of the day.
Don't let a bad meal turn into a full on bad food day!

Nice salad for lunch.

foxinthebox · 21/08/2014 12:34

3 lbs in 4 days! 4 lbs if I include the new scales generous 1 lb less skew.

foxinthebox · 21/08/2014 12:36

And half a bottle of champagne in lieu of dinner last night.

WaitingForMe · 21/08/2014 15:45

Liking the idea of champagne diet Grin

Had lunch at MILs and realised she's a feeder. I suspect previous greed blinded me to her devious ways.

I'm hosting an NCT lunch tomorrow and have decided to enhance my weight loss by making my friends fat.

ScarlettInSpace · 21/08/2014 16:48

I celebrated weight loss with 2 pieces of toast Blush I'm a twat Sad

Well done Fox

foxinthebox · 21/08/2014 17:03

I have drunk two nutirlight sachets today after peanut butter on toast for breakfast. My excuse was i had a swimming training session. I could barely heave my weight out of the pool. Turned down the cinema tonight, in case i get tempted by any treats.

I am ruddy STARVING.

and ate two of my son's chicken nuggets this lunchtime, a few of his chips, and two of those little coffee biscuits in a meeting

Laundryangel · 21/08/2014 17:18

I was down to 10lbs 2 this morning which is my lightest in 7 yrs. Did think there was a chance that I could get down to the magical 10st by Saturday's hol but have had a fishfingers, two wotsits (note individual crisps rather than bags of) and a biscuit as well as my planned food.
Scarlett - well done
OP - I am impressed that you have done as well as you have this week & think one slip up is allowed. I will be channeling you & thinking "slither" every meal time on holiday next week. Or at least will try to!

Beastofburden · 21/08/2014 17:23

Marking place shamelessly so I don't lose the thread when DH comes in and catches me reading it and I have to hide it Blush you are all amazing.

ScarlettInSpace · 21/08/2014 19:03

laundry I think you actually weigh the same as my OH when he was born Grin

AuditAngel · 21/08/2014 19:21

Ladies, I salute you. If I wasn't on holiday at the moment, I would join you I really need it, I am the size of a house compared to the sizes/weights previously mentioned you all sound as mad a bag of frogs. I have found my spiritual home.

goldface · 21/08/2014 20:13

am away for weekend tomorrow so need two pounds off in 24 hours! have had two slimfasts and a mushroom cup a soup...now snacking on grapes and have been for a run...can it be done??

FacebookWillEatItself · 21/08/2014 20:15

Sorry OP but I did a really loud LOL when I read your thread title. Grin

I don't think you have a hope in hell quite honestly, but the very best of luck anyway. When you find the answer let me know. Grin

FacebookWillEatItself · 21/08/2014 20:17

Oh. I see you are practically home by now. Confused
