New thread.

WWb my pound loss was from last week when I couldn't weigh as the scales were out of order, I weighed on Thursday in the end after posting weights. I'd forgotten about it!

WigWamBam · 14/09/2006 11:11

Ah ... makes sense now.

OP posts:
suejoneziscalmernow · 14/09/2006 11:11

I'm impressed with those losses and not all from newbies either! Jacki only 1lb off 2stone! Littlebitshy - you must be close to your target now as I recall you lost quite a lot before starting with the BigMoFO's - how much have you lost in total?

Big hurrahs for Fauve and Flutterbee.

JackieNo · 14/09/2006 12:48

Been in a meeting all morning - only just got to see this. It really was a good week, wasn't it. Hope it spurs us on to do the same this week. Well done especially to Fauve and Flutterbee.

lemonaid · 14/09/2006 13:29

I'm total -8, rather than total -7.

Hurrahs all round (and especially to Fauve and Flutterbee)

WigWamBam · 14/09/2006 13:32

I must have missed a week then, lemonaid ... I have 2.5lb for the first week, 4lb for the second, stayed the same for the third, I didn't get a result from you for last week, and then 0.5 for this week.

Did you lose last week?

OP posts:
lemonaid · 14/09/2006 14:01

Yes, it was -1 last week (we had that discussion about the mysterious missing email)

In fact, checking up has cheered me up as I'd forgotten I'd lost 1lb rather than 0.5lb last week

Fauve · 14/09/2006 14:05

Thank you very much for my crown...I shall wear it all week...

And congrats to everyone else, especially Flutterbee. We are doing well, collectively, aren't we?

WigWamBam · 14/09/2006 14:09

I must have missed the discussion about the missing email ... or maybe my brain is even more decrepit than I thought because I don't remember it at all!

I've put it right now though.

Suits you, Fauve ...

Just wanted to say you have all done fabulously well! Some great losses this week - hope I will be up there next week!

suejoneziscalmernow · 14/09/2006 18:10

are you happy with losing a pound WWB? You seemed wobbly at the beginning of the week - looks like you've coped well on the food front.

flutterbee · 14/09/2006 21:55

Just making the most of this as I have just eaten the most HUGE chinese ever ever in the whole wide world.

Sweet and sour chicken balls (10 of) and a mountain of special fried mushroom rice

I just thought sod it we may have decided to stay at home but we are on holiday (the last one we will have till next year) so why not have a take away.

Well done everyone we really are all doing so well.

whoopsfallenoveragain · 14/09/2006 23:08

Hi all,

Just weighed myself and have lost another 3lb so am quite pleasedafter the crap week I've had!!

JackieNo · 15/09/2006 09:34

Nice dress, Flutterbee. Is that a sweet and sour chicken ball down your decolletage?
Whoopsfallenoveragain - well done! That's a great loss.

WigWamBam · 15/09/2006 10:52

Well done, Whoopsie.

Sue, I'm OK with losing the pound - I probably don't deserve it because I've had a bad week really; been self-medicating with food yet again. The couple of days I spent with D&V has obviously helped out a bit there ... not the recommended way of losing weight but it's probably helped.

OP posts:
JackieNo · 15/09/2006 11:48

Wigwambam - please don't think you 'don't deserve it' - just by being aware of what you're doing means that you're starting to change the way you behave around food. Agree that D&V not the ideal way to lose weight though.

JackieNo · 15/09/2006 11:49

Oh, and I meant to say - I miss MrsJohnCusack. I wonder how she's doing, and how she's coping with the ILs.

WigWamBam · 15/09/2006 11:51

I miss her too. Hope she's coping OK - I know she wasn't really relishing the prospect, was she!

OP posts:
JackieNo · 15/09/2006 11:52

No - and I seem to remember seeing one of the last posts from her saying that she'd fainted. Hope it's all going OK.

WigWamBam · 15/09/2006 11:56

Oh no - I missed that. Poor MrsJC - hope she's OK.

OP posts:
justamum · 15/09/2006 16:50

well done on all losses, i think i've put mine on again as dh, helpfully, brought back my fave chocs and I was powerless to resist a few and we ate pizza the other night. I am planning to go organic and order most of my food off tinternet to avoid the trauma of supermarkets and the temptations therein, by the time i get to the cakes/biscuits I am so fed up that i just chuck a load in despite all good intentions.

justamum · 16/09/2006 01:09

Anyone heard any more about MrsJC? hope she is ok.

JackieNo · 16/09/2006 22:02

Well our family are suffering with D&V today - started with me (only D) since 4.30 this morning, then DH started, though not as badly as me, then this evening DS. No sign of DD getting it so far, though she did throw up on Wednesday evening, so maybe we've got what she had. We've got the nursery barbecue tomorrow, so I have to go and buy food (barring the meat, which is coming from the butcher) from Tesco for 100 people tomorrow. Could really do without that. Almost fainted earlier while putting DS to bed - had to call DH to come and help. Starting to feel a bit better now - on the dioralyte stuff. Even though I've been in bed all day, I'm back off there now. Night.

justamum · 17/09/2006 00:05

oh poor you Jackie, that sounds grim. D&V is bad enough without going to a bbq or barbewic as ds calls them. I hope you all feel better in time and that dd doesn't get it too.
Today I have been mostly making jam, I picked about 3lb of plums from our tree yesterday and for the first time ever, I have made jam. I am absurdly proud, if a little horrified at the amount of sugar, and really surprised at how easy it was even though I did forget about the fruit simmering on the hob for 2hrs. It tastes lovely though. I feel like a proper housewife now

JackieNo · 17/09/2006 11:03

Well done justamum - you domestic goddess! Feeling much better today, as is everyone else. A bit achey, but nothing too terrible. Won't be around much as off to the barbecue (or barbewic) in a bit. At least I can get out of food preparation/cooking duties by pleading that I'm 'unclean'.
