Shall we spend the summer holidays losing a stone?

That's my aim.
The summer holidays should make it easier for me to lose weight as we spend so much time out and about.

Here are my ideas :-

Maximum 1400 cals a day although I'll try to stick to 1200 most days.

Switch to warburton slims instead of bread and one allowed a day. This will be mostly used for my sandwich for lunch. Easy for picnics too.

Have fruit for snacks and 1 treat a day

Treats are either an ice lolly if we're out or a small piece of home made cake or biscuits or popcorn if we're having a movie night. I'll bake with the kids as an activity.

Lots of salad and veg. Luckily I love salads.

30 minutes minimum of activity a day. Exercise dvd, walking, playing with the kids outside. Wii Just Dance (from youtube), pillow fight, disco if the weather is rubbish

That sounds pretty doable. Anyone else? :)

Woohoo 10.7 this morning! Didn't think I'd get chance to weigh before work but I remembered. I'm so pleased, off to work with the mantra, I will not eat crap, I will be thin!!

Made DS's birthday cake yesterday, it involved Matleasers amid m&ms. Sad

ReigningQueen · 24/07/2014 07:59

Well done Jerin! You're well on your way to that stone then :)

Go Jerin. That is amazing! I haven't had a great day- sandwich, crisps and salad at lunch and repeat for tea. I have however, not sat down all day so hopefully I will have burnt some calories.
I definitely need to retrain my brain about 'fast food' and stop making sandwiches (and eating crisps).

ReigningQueen · 25/07/2014 11:52

2lbs down yay. And that's with a few lapses.
Donthackmenow that's my ideal lunch but I've switched to warburton thins instead of bread and have baked type of crisps.

Well done reigningqueen, excellent work.
Donthackmenow I'm sure your really busy day will cover the sandwich & crisps.

I almost treated myself to a baked flatbread with Gorgonzola, caramelised onion, sundried tomatoes & rocket last night, with garlic sauce- but it's going to be my treat for next Thursday night if I can keep moving in the right weightloss direction!

I'm hoping to start implementing some exercise in, DVD remote is broken so can't get the DVDs to play.

I'm going to have a bagel & cream cheese in a bit I think as I have a very long (and hideous) day/night at work ahead of me.

I saw a friend the other day who I hadn't seen for a while and she told me I'd lost weight. Dh said so too yesterday :)
I've probably lost half a stone in the last 6 weeks but I'm trying to ramp it up a bit now.

Hope you're all doing well.

Well done reigningqueen- it's a great feeling when it's actually noticeable to others isn't it? Exercise will definitely help ramp mine up a bit but I'm oh so tired today. I had quite a bad day yesterday- too many carbs- so maybe that's why I feel so exhausted today. I've not had enough water the past few days either so need to try harder today.

The children want to bake cakes today and we have a lunch date tomorrow, I need to be strong this week.

Good luck everyone

Have lost 5lbs in 2 weeks on Paul McKenna so feeling very happy. It's been so much easier than regular "dieting". Even if it slows down I should be able to fit into my naice summer clothes by the time I go on summer hols late August.

Just have to keep going.

George9978 · 03/08/2014 08:25

I've just lost half a stone in a little over a week. I did a soup/ salad diet and cut out the wine. Also I have done an hour of intense excercise daily.

Half a stone to go. I'll be happy if I can shift 4 lb next week.

hamptoncourt · 03/08/2014 10:44

Wow that is fantastic! Well done!

ReigningQueen · 03/08/2014 13:57

Wow well done Hampton and George. I maintained this week which I'm happy with as I'm staying with family and it's hard to diet. I'm not snacking much and skipping breakfast which no one seems to have noticed yet! :)

Down to 72.8kg today (75kg at the beginning), feeling pretty good about it, if I carry on like this I might just hit my 69kg target for the 31st of August Grin

jerin · 07/08/2014 12:56

Well done LaChatte, keep up the good work. Hope everyone else is doing alright.

I've had another bad week. All self inflicted! Last week I was only down 1lb to 10st 6 and today I'm 10st 5 so snother lb off this week. But I've not really stuck to it very well, pizza, chips, ice cream, croissants. This week I'm gonna be much more focused and determined and I may Sven try to go for a run!

Donthackmenow · 08/08/2014 23:45

I've been on holiday and I know I have out weight on- I am too ashamed to get on the scales to confirm. My tummy is hanging over my pj bottoms!
