or even better come and join me!

I am 5ft 2 and weigh 12st 7, so have a LOT to lose (am aiming to get to 10 stone). Diets such as WW, SW etc have not worked for me in the past, my plan is too combat my over-eating by having 'one' of what I desire..... ie one glass of wine instead of 4, one biscuit instead of half a pack, one goose fat roastie instead of 4, etc etc.

I will also, in general, try to stick to no snacking, walking lots, healthy meals.

I don't know if anyone will read this but I'm going to regularly update and am determined this will work. It has to, I can't go on like this.

Here goes....please encourage me or come and join me!

I'll follow you too as I'm the same height as you and trying to get to the same weight initially. I'm at 11st8lbs at the moment.

I'm trying not to snack and do some exercise every day. Mostly walking.

AnnieLobeseder · 25/05/2014 13:31

What a fantastic idea! I will join you. My head is nearly in the right place to finally shift the 3 stone I need to lose. I've been trying to eat more healthily the past week or two and have gone back to the gym at last.

I love exercise, so that's not a problem for me; I've was laid up for 18 months with an ankle injury, which I why I've gained so much. I just have no will power when it comes to food. My ankle is finally better enough that I can exercise again, but it's tough now that I'm so unfit and so heavy. Hopefully I'll be able to deal with both those problems though.

Here's the question - do we just have one of what we like all day! Or can we have another one an hour later... Wink

Dragonlette · 25/05/2014 13:58

That sounds like a good idea, but what if I fancy ONE box of chocolates, or ONE tub of ice cream? Surely that's too much Wink

My target weight isn't much lighter than your start weight, I'm aiming for 12st, but I'm 5'9 and 12st will put me into the healthy weight category (just). A little bit of restraint would do me good, so I'll join you I think.

StealthPolarBear · 27/05/2014 21:39

Hows it going op?

Changeitplease · 28/05/2014 10:35

I will join you... I am 5.3 and weigh 12 st 8lb today. So around 2.5 st to lose.

I will weigh in daily and post it to keep the motivation! Let us know how you are doing with the 'one' diet?

Mitchy1nge · 28/05/2014 10:47

:( thought this would be a mono diet

like where you just eat pizza at every meal or apples or vodka

AnnieLobeseder · 28/05/2014 12:12

Mmmmm, a pizza diet. I could get on board with that.

Well, technically today could count as a success since I have eaten only one packet of Veggie Eric the Elephant gummy sweets and only one packet of chocolate orange digestive biscuits.

Blush

This is why I need to lose 3 stone!

Dragonlette · 28/05/2014 13:17

Annie that sounds like me. That's exactly why I need to lose 3 stone too, I've only eaten one packet of crisps it was a big bag and one bar of chocolate.

AnnieLobeseder · 28/05/2014 23:37

Okay Dragonlette - I challenge you to eat properly tomorrow, and I will too. If either of us cave and eat a whole bag/bar/packet of anything.... hmmm, what should be penalty be? Listening to Justin Beiber for an hour?

Dragonlette · 29/05/2014 00:03

Okay Annie, I'm up for it if you are. I've been shopping today and bought fruit and veg but NO chocolate. I will NOT be listening to Justin Beiber cos I just won't tell you if I mess up

AnnieLobeseder · 29/05/2014 09:11

Okay Dragon. No cheating! I have one smoothie and one cup of tea here next to me. So far so good.

Dragonlette · 29/05/2014 22:10

I've had one bowl of cereal this morning
Lunch was a panini
I had a small muffin mid-afternoon
Dinner was a large plate of chicken, rice and vegetables.
I'm about to eat a load of pineapple

I think today has been a success.

teaforthree · 30/05/2014 09:26

I'm the same, OP, 5'2" and about 12.5st. I really need to get down to around 9.5 st because none of my clothes fit and I feel so bulky and wobbly. I've been doing the 5:2 diet but without much exercise and I've lost a little bit so far. I've come down with a hellish cold though, and my motivation's flagging!

Plus the baby's only 5 months old and I'm so tired, the toddler's being a toddler and I could so trough the massive bar of dairy milk in the cupboard...

teaforthree · 30/05/2014 09:28

I have successfully cut out sugar in my hot drinks though! That'll obviously make me drop three stone Hmm but at least the dentist won't shout at me.
I've also gone veggie again, so I've become a bit more aware of calories and shit. Good luck!

Dragonlette · 30/05/2014 10:26

Annie come out from behind the sofa, you've got some Justin Bieber to listen to. How do you fit behind the sofa anyway? Mine has far too much stuff behind it that I've hidden when "tidying" for visitors, some of it's been there for years Blush

Dragonlette · 01/06/2014 17:11

How are you doing op? Are you managing to stick to the one diet?

Annie have you managed to stick to one? Come and talk to me

I think I'm doing ok with this. I haven't weighed myself yet so i don't know if I've lost any weight, but I feel happier with doing this than with a more restrictive diet.

AnnieLobeseder · 01/06/2014 17:34
Dragonlette · 01/06/2014 17:40

Ok Annie, you obviously have a much tidier "behind the sofa" than I do if you're so comfortable there. I dare you to have a proper go tomorrow though, it's easier than I expected

AnnieLobeseder · 01/06/2014 22:57

'Tis a virtual sofa, lots of space back there.

And it's not easy. I have been trying but I am Weak and Crave Chocolate.

Dragonlette · 01/06/2014 23:36

I crave chocolate too. It is hard, but easier than I expected, iyswim (ie, I haven't completely gone mental with everybody) I have had chocolate though, just not as much as I would have done last week.
