I want to lose around ten stones! Shock

Yoyo dieted for years with weight going up and up.
Have fibromyalgia and CFS which limits mobility a bit.

Have started with Paul McKenna's Freedom from Emotional Eating this week.
Feeling positive about making the changes needed.

Would love a weight loss buddy or buddies.

I'll leave this thread now because I thought it was a thread for big people with lots to lose, not specific to one method, sorry to have bothered you.

TooBigNow · 29/06/2014 22:31

It isn't a thread for only one method at all. Sorry that you feel that it is. I only suggested the emotional eating book because it has stopped me binging and made me see food differently. You are welcome to post on the thread with any diet you want.

Hi Too been a while since I checked in on here, glad to see that you are still doing so well!
I have hit a stone wall and although I haven't put any weight on ,haven't lost any more.
I think I will check out the pmk ideas, it's either feast or famine here, have joined a gym and pan to drastically increase my exercise routine so the weight continues to come off.
Hope you are keeping well?

Hi FriendlyFeatures sorry to hear that you have plateaued, that is very frustrating. I have found that some weeks I don't lose any weight (especially around a certain time of the month), but then a few more pounds come off later. The only exercise I am doing at the moment is walking as I am too big to even attempt running yet. I have been gradually increasing how much I walk though. I have been feeling full sooner than I used to. Not sure I ever noticed the point that I had eaten enough in the past until I was stuffed instead.

Here's an update. We went away on holiday recently and I wasn't as mindful as I should have been. I weighed myself when we returned last week and had gained 6 lb!! 3 lb have gone already and hopefully the rest will go soon.

I did notice that not listening to the CD made a big difference. One day I binged on carton of ice cream which I felt bad about. The following day I listened to the emotional eating CD and the urge to binge went away again. Several times we went out to eat at lunch time and I didn't want to eat, instead just having a cold drink.

I'm back to my pre holiday weight now. I've been listening to the EE track and the ICMYT track and think that has helped a lot. Still need to do a Havening.

I haven't found the hypnotic gastric band works for me though.
