oooh noooo this isn't going to back to haunt me is it? funnily enough I watched the end of Jane Eyre on Sat afternoon and thought of JackieNo!

flutterbee · 06/08/2006 17:32

Thanks for the info LF most helpful, so what I might do is start my diet tomorrow but not weight myself till Wednesday (and possibly give WWB my starting weight if I am feeling brave) and then weight myself every wednesday evening in the future just so I don't get confused with 2 weight ins a week.

Does anyone have the e-mail address for me to send my details to? If WWB doesn't mind.

On a totally diffenent subject, my Mum is trying to talk my into moving to the Shetland Isles she has just come back from a holiday their and swears it is the perfect place to live and bring up children.

suejonez · 06/08/2006 17:39

If I were you I would weigh now, there's no point putting it off and you can get some good results in the first few days which can be v motivating. It doesn;t matter if you haven't lost much by Wednesday we all know you only started today - if you feel better about it, don;t weight this wednesday, do a 10 first week and weigh again next weds..

Know nothing about Shetlands other than that they are a long way away. Scheebly may know a bit more. Of couese you'd have to learn to speak Shetlandish...

hub2dee · 06/08/2006 20:14

Darn, I missed all that stuff about sj shaggin in an Aston (or whatever was alleged to have gone on).

I still think our % falling pg whilst on the thread rate is outstanding.

WigWamBam · 06/08/2006 20:15

Dh thinks our % falling pregnant whilst on the thread rate is extremely worrying

OP posts:
flutterbee · 06/08/2006 20:18

Well I am due to have a top up injection next week for my contaception but we have decided I'm not going to have it because of the side effects and we are going to be responsible adults and use condoms so I bloody hope that this pg thing isn't catching

JackieNo · 06/08/2006 20:20

I hope it's not catching either. DH really doesn't 'do' tiny babies - he's lovely with them once they're about 2-ish and upwards, but before that, it's really difficult.

WigWamBam · 06/08/2006 20:36

No more babies here ... nil, zip, zilch, nada. Is not going to happen, no-sirreee. Dh reckons I need to MN with my legs closed ...

suejonez · 06/08/2006 20:58

Oi!

I didn't actually shag in the Aston - what do you think I am!

hub2dee · 06/08/2006 21:06

Oh you should have, sj... lovely soft leather.

I deduced that from the 'Reader, I shagged him,' (but admit to being rather confused about who shagged whom where...). Apologies, obviously, if you either didn't shag him / shagged him in a different car / waited till you got somewhere 'decent' etc. etc.

suejonez · 06/08/2006 21:21

I was rather hoping that this whole confession thing might have gone away by now... I blame Jackie

hub2dee · 06/08/2006 21:29

Yeah, maybe she's not telling us something...

JackieNo · 06/08/2006 21:31

Who, me? . Sorry sue. I don't think I've mentioned it since Friday night (well, not until this post, anyway), have I?

MrsJohnCusack · 06/08/2006 21:33

glad to see the MoFos revving up for another good night

Well, I WANT to be pregnant, RIGHT NOW!

Can't remember if I've ever told you all, but dd is our miracle baby. We were told that we would not be able to conceive naturally due to dh's spectacularly low sperm count.

We tried for 2.5 years. We gave up alcohol, caffeine, red meat, cow dairy (switched to goat dairy), took up acupuncture, yoga, chinese herbs, homoeopathy and vitamins.

6 weeks before we were due to start IVF/ICSI I found out I was pregnant.

We both want another child, but are beginning to think that IVF/ICSI is probably the only way this time as we're both 38 and don't really have another 2 - 3 years to keep trying.

Just to make you smile - when I found out I was pregnant, I did 15 pregnancy tests, just to be sure!

MrsJohnCusack · 06/08/2006 22:04

That's lovely Littlefish!

DD is something of a miracle baby too. had one ovary removed becuase of large semi-cancerous tumour, then a few years later they though I had another growth but it turned out to be the remaining ovary, both tubes and a load of scar tissue all in a mass. they separated it all out as best they could via laparoscopy and told me to expect serious trouble conceiving and to 'get on with it'.

2 weeks later I was pregnant! I remember the look of shock on my consultants face when I went to my next check up and told him I was 20 weeks pregnant. I only did a test as I was wondering where my periods had gone and knew that was the first question I'd get asked so I may as well check....(I then did another 5 tests over 2 days - and I still have them all!)

v.suprised to be pregnant again but so, so thrilled. I hope some of the pregnancy vibes from this thread go your way.

JackieNo · 06/08/2006 22:04

Aah Littlefish - hopefully some of the pregnancy vibes will go your way then (and you can have mine and WWB's too). Sorry - no confessions - I've led a very boring life.

JackieNo · 06/08/2006 22:05

Wow MrsJC - that's a fab story too - so glad it's happening for you again.

WigWamBam · 06/08/2006 22:05

I'm not telling you whether I have any confessions to make ... I'd have to be very drunk first

OP posts:
Littlefish · 06/08/2006 22:10

Wow MrsJC - that's amazing! How old is your dd?

JackieNo · 06/08/2006 22:11

I would so love to go out on the piss with you lot (or even stay in and get pissed) .

MrsJohnCusack · 06/08/2006 22:11

she is 20 months
I can't quite understand how I've been so lucky TBH. I assumed we'd need help, and still can't quite believe that we didn't!

just shows that there is often no rhyme nor reason to these things at all

Littlefish · 06/08/2006 22:14

You are my new inspiration MrsJC. I love hearing that some people have had 2 miracles!!! Perhaps there's another one out there for me after all.
