Claiming NSV today I ran on treadmill for 20 mins without stopping at 6kph.
Never ever ran for that long before.
I started doubting myself at 13mins but decided to push to 15 and kept going. ...
Had to stop to go get DD1 for her swim lesson but I did it!!!Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Hang in there Fantastic you are nearly through the toughest bit now.
pinkapples - every pound counts.

After 2 weeks of not losing much (TOTM) I had a bigger loss this week 1.9kg taking my total loss to 12.3kg and my BMI to 31.5.

giggly · 04/04/2014 17:32

3.5 lbs off happy with that as I cheat every weekendBlush last weekend was a Chinese sweet and sour, only had a small bit of rice though.
BMI has dropped to 40, so still very obese but slightly slimmerWink

giggly · 04/04/2014 17:33

Meant to say that's a stone in 4 weeks.

Fingers crossed

jai38 · 08/04/2014 08:28

Been reading all your posts and have taken the leap to start today - wish me willpower!

tiggermummy70 · 08/04/2014 12:13

welcome jai lots of willpower and drink lots of water.

mistake I made in early days - Watch sodas don't drink them if you can but make sure they don't have citric acid as an ingredient if you resort to them as it will effect ketosis.

jai38 · 08/04/2014 13:15

Thanks - I had a diet coke addiction but have given that up for six months so hopefully that will be ok!

Have had porridge and caramel shake so far and not feeling bad. Sadly the porridge boiled over and I lost half of it though

pinkapples · 08/04/2014 18:11

Oh no jai which programme are you following?

jai38 · 08/04/2014 18:56

I am doing slim and save! Just had mushroom soup with more broccoli than I ever thought I could eat ! First test tonight as book club at a cake bakers!

DakotaFanny · 08/04/2014 21:14

Hi guys.

I have a family holiday booked in six weeks which I am dreading because of swimsuit / wetsuit combo. I have some slim and save sachets left and am thinking I might get back on it for six weeks and see if I can shift a stone and feel better about myself.

However....during the six weeks I have a lot of social events- 2 big nights out, two weekends away at friends...

What do I do? Is there any point following Vlc if I am going to majorly blow all my hard work on at least six separate days? Or do I go with the idea that those 6 days will be minor hiccups in a bigger game?

I'd really like your opinions please.

Thanks in advance!

pinkapples · 09/04/2014 06:08

Dakota it depends what you intend to do on those days if your intention is to eat/drink what you want regardless then for me I'd say there wasn't really any point however if your plan is to try and be good then it probably wouldn't do much damage
Another way to look at it is if you did the sachets then if you lost any weight you'd be no worse off as you'd lose some possibly gain on your 6 days off but you wouldn't be any heavier as you'd previously lost the weight you put on... Probably not a good idea tho to lose gain lose gain but then how much would you actually gain in 6 days? Not to sure I'd probably do it and try and be good Grin

DakotaFanny · 09/04/2014 07:44

Thanks Pinkapples. I have been 5:2 ing for a few weeks and it was all going well but have majorly fallen off wagon and am feeling desperate. I may go 4:3, which gives benefit of fitting in around weekends, but without the major benefit of s&s, being weight loss and not being starving. So tricky to know what to do for best. Probably should stop eating crisps either way though, eh?!
