lol tarajupp are they back up in the right place as well (after bra intervention?) i had friend sent me to bravissimo intervention a few years ago!

i had a bad sunday and had a toastie and cake (only 3 bites of cake!) and came out of ketosis and put on 3lbs! can't be fat as i haven't eaten enough for that. hoping to be back in it by tomorrow

tiggermummy70 · 12/03/2014 17:54

I spent a small fortune in Bravissimo on Monday! Which isn't difficult! Has been the only place I can buy a bra to fit.... well pre kids it was "best fit" underwire was always 2" off my breastbone as it was closet I could get. I then had two years of size L ish nursing bras. before going back into real ones. I was a 38JJ now a 32K!!!!!Shock

pinkapples · 12/03/2014 22:21

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 13/03/2014 10:11

Hi pinkapples

I also have PCOS and at my heaviest I had a BMI of 38 now down to 33.2. Losing weight may well help with your symptoms too.

pinkapples · 13/03/2014 20:03

Thanks ladies going to pick up my food packs tomorrow as sinusitis is slowing now and my head feels a little less like it may explode Grin

tiggermummy70 · 14/03/2014 11:05

According to four different websites I am overweight! !!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin )

giggly · 14/03/2014 14:04

Been lurking all week having started CD last Sat. Had my weigh in on Thursday with 7 pounds off, happy with that. I did CD 3 years ago and was almost at goal until I fell off the wagon at Christmas and never got back on. Moved overseas and comfort ate for 2 years making me 1 stone heavier than my last starting weight and I have 5 stones to lose at least, but now of course it's only 4 1/2.

pinkapples · 14/03/2014 19:48

Congrats giggly 4.5 is not 5! Think positive!

I picked up my food tonight ready for LL tomorrow Grin

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 15/03/2014 09:55

Tigger - well done! I think I've got a month or so before I reach overweight, I'll be really pleased to no longer be obese.

Congrats to anyone who has lost this week.

Just over a kilo for me this week so total loss is now 8.9kg. My trousers are getting loose Smile

tarajupp · 16/03/2014 18:09

Hi pink apples hope your first week is going well.

That's fantastic tigger - what an achievement!
I need to lose another 0.5kg and I'll be 'overweight' too Grin

1 kg off this week which makes it just over 3st now. Slow but steady. Away this week so will see how I cope - going to take some packs and try to stay in ketosis - wish me luck!!

pinkapples · 16/03/2014 19:52

Goodluck tarajupp Grin r u on ll or a different programme?

I'm doing alright day 2 almost over and I've found that if I'm hungry I can half the days bar and have half when I'm hungry and the other half later Grin woohoo

Tucking into chilli now

I'm going to Spain in a month any thoughts on what to do? I thought about going to 3 packs and a meal for the 4 days were away?

tarajupp · 16/03/2014 22:50

I'm on Exante - a lot cheaper than Lighter Life and no group or counsellor. Works for me as really don't want to have to talk to strangers. Am following total solution - 600kcal - 3 packs a day.

Am going to take packs with me when away and use if can't do a low carb meal. Will let you know how I get on...

Managed to get into my pre pregnancy jeans that I last wore in honeymoon today, although they were a bit tight!

tiggermummy70 · 17/03/2014 08:24

Morning everyone.

hope you all had a good weekend.

At parkrun lots of comments about weight loss. including oneBlush as forgot I am month March in calender we did last year.

At rehearsals for another show on Sunday lots of people made comments there. I mentioned to costumes that I had resized bra, Did they want to check bust. think they were doing it to humour me. shocked to discover lost 1" across all measurements in 2 weeks! Grin Grin Grin

lizardqueenie · 17/03/2014 17:42

Hello everyone

Wondering if I might be able to join you all? I have tried CD in the past & def had some success but didn't really push myself to stick to it & little cheats meant I ended up totally off the wagon.

So I'll be starting Extante on weds- missed delivery today & courier didn't deliver to neighbour so picking up tomorrow. Am trying shakes & bars - thought the bars might be easy for work.

I have a lot to loose eeek - around 8st if I'm honest, but I have a holiday booked for May and would really like to look & feel better for then.

Have been so impressed with all of your stamina on here. Grin

pinkapples · 17/03/2014 22:34

Sounds good I'm on total with lighterlife and dad is helping foot the bill hopefully it's worth it for the 4 foodpacks a day woohoo! There not to bad actually and I'm nott that hungry so so far so good is exante the same then like a stone a month if good? I quite like the weekly weigh ins to be fair pushes me to beat everyone else Grin

Holiday to Spain in 4.3 weeks so fingers crossed I'm hoping to be down to a size 10 by my little ones 1st birthday (June 13th) that's 3 dress sizes away Hmm but will try and remain motivated!

tiggermummy70 · 18/03/2014 07:12

welcome queenie.

I made it on to stage 2.
So now 150 cal breakfast
0 cal salad type lunch + shake
400 cal dinner + 1 piece fruit.

tiggermummy70 · 18/03/2014 08:22

For those of you not seeing a Councillor please take the time to think about how you got to where you are now. The diet companies will happily let you loose and gain lose and gain.
Take stock, write it down, talk to a friend try and understand how you gained the weight and more importantly what are you going to do to avoid gaining it back.
For me I gained 6.5 stone above top weight for my height late night eating after volunteer work, bigger portions, undiagnosed pcos didn't help either. I stopped moving. Not really an emotional eater, although I do go through desires for chocolate every day for a week or two and then don't touch it for a month.
I am currently writing my future self a diary of how I feel now and what I am doing about it, hopefully so if I start to gain a little I can read it and remind myself I don't want to go back to this point again.

tiggermummy70 · 19/03/2014 07:49

broke my second weight goal this morning under 173lbs puts total lost since I started at 60lbs. Grin Grin Grin

lizardqueenie · 19/03/2014 08:35

Tigger that is fantastic!!! Wow!

How long have you been doing it?

You are right about what you said about how we managed to get here in the first place. I've always been overweight, for as long as I can remember & even as I child I chose food for comfort. I don't know if I will use a vlcd to get me all the way to where I need to be bmi wise. But I've chosen this now as I'm off on hols soon & I just want to feel more comfortable & less worn out.

I need to find ways to comfort myself/ look after myself other than food. It's a strange thing to say but I seek to have developed some kind of idea that when you are tired you need to eat something for energy (rather than have an early night!) or when you are feeling unwell you need to eat something to make you feel better, again rather than a more common sense view of taking it easy & looking after yourself. Food has been my way of coping when I'm happy/ sad/ worried/ bored, whatever. It's like punctuation & breathing. I hope that a break from food this time around will not only help me with some of these demons but get me out of the "what to eat when you are on a diet quandary" as I don't ever seem to be happy with the choices I've made. Phew!

Waiting for delivery today- asked courier to deliver to neighbour on mon but looks like they didn't get the message so re-delivering today & then I can start!

tiggermummy70 · 19/03/2014 11:52

I am on week 9 of vcld.
started weight loss journey three years ago in January. lost about 50lbs and gained about 10 back over
last year trying to find what would work for me.
once I have finished vcld I will be switching to 5:2 diet as it has some big health benefits esp for husband.

try writing down if I feel like this I will..... go have a bubble bath, read a book, go for a walk etc so you have plan in place before you need it. stick it on fridge door and read before opening!!!! Smile Wink Wink

pinkapples · 19/03/2014 19:41

Wow tiger! That's great! I bet you feel fab too such an achievement I lost another 1lb this week but disappointing but apparently water intake has a lot to do with it and I didn't drink anything yesterday hardly was very busy! But I have a weeks worth of packs now so can give it a proper go this week and I've even managed nearly 2litres of water!

aba · 20/03/2014 05:48

Hello! Is it ok if i Join? I started LL 2 weeks ago today and on my scales i've lost 17 pounds so far. I'm beyond excited. I've had a lunch, a mums dinner and a quiz night with lovely curry and wine etc and just managed to not eat a thing. I ordered the thing i hate the most ( coconut soup, and then pushed it around a bit. I think we all underestimate the absolute lack of interest most of us have in what anyone else is eating/doing when we go out! I can honestly say no one noticed that i hadn't eaten a thing!!

This is a great thread and support. I still can't quite believe how easy its been, especially since i have a low thyroid and the last couple of months have been a nightmare of just piling it on. I even ran an extreme race twice called the wolf run, free running and obstacles and swimming thru freezing lakes and i managed to lose 1 stone. I trained for 6 months!! So this is superb.

Like everyone else, the 2lbs a week diets were just demoralising. I know i need to change how i eat, i needed this complete break to teach me stuff and its working. The not drinking was hard but i'm loving the amount free time i have and being able to drive to evenings out. I still can't go out with my serious social friends because i will relapse, but i can certainly have dinner or a quick drink with a friend. One of them is coming to my gym for lunch and a workout rather than our usual mad night outs!

well done to everyone, you all sound so positive. That's half the battle! Look forward to doing this journey together!
x

tiggermummy70 · 20/03/2014 08:56

welcome aba.
I would say pull up a chair but apparently you burn more calories standing!

tarajupp · 20/03/2014 10:27

Hi aba. Well done on your 1st two weeks.

Just got back from 3 days on a vegetarian farm - eggs for breakfast - pack for lunch and huge piles of roast veg for dinner. Will try and weigh in the next couple of days and see how have got on...
