Just over 1kg this week. Three weeks on Exante Total+ 6.8kg lost only another 25kg to go!

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 01/03/2014 13:35

Well done to everyone who has lost or stayed the same.

tiggermummy70 · 01/03/2014 19:22

Blodosy starving tonight. On duty til midnight... going to be a long one.
Will aim for another shake in an hour.

Kids and I did parkrun this morning first time whilst on CD. so not sure if that was reason?

LittleMyMoomin · 01/03/2014 20:41

Hi, would love to chat to others doing LL!

I'm in my second week, been having my packs but also been eating extra bits like a piece of toast every day too, haven't had one day where I've only eaten 4 packs and that's it.... On bad days I'll eat something like a sandwich instead of a pack. Blush

Had my first weigh in last week and I'd lost 4 and a half pounds, but I can't keep eating extra stuff as I'm not going into ketosis. Just finding it so hard not to eat anything extra! Had anyone else found it this hard?

Tinwe · 01/03/2014 21:20

Hi Little and well done on your loss (same to everyone else who's lost too).
I've got the opposite problem, I've been really strict but DH has just told me I "smell wrong". That my breath smells sickly sweet and that he wasn't going to mention it but I especially asked him to tell me if I was being antisocial in anyway on this diet. I'm really glad he did but it's thrown me a bit and I'm not sure what to do now. He said not to worry and he loves me however I am but TBH I'm mostly losing weight for him. I mean, he gets to see me more than I do and I don't want to have to fast from kissing as well as food during all this! Shock

He tried to be helpful suggesting I eat a little each day alongside bars etc (also so I can enjoy meals with the family) but I know that will take me out of ketosis. If I switch from Simplicity to Lifestyle will it help solve this problem or (as I suspect) will I keep having this problem as long as I'm in ketosis? Hmm

ShoopShoop · 02/03/2014 22:54

Hello everyone - please may I join? I'm starting Exante for the third time tomorrow Blush. I lost 3 stone last year and have no gained 2.5 of it back - I really hate myself at the moment and feel such a failure. I'm hoping to find some confidence and self esteem that I've lost whilst gaining the weight back. I know it's tough getting into ketosis, but once I'm there I am hoping that my resolve will hold. I'm also hoping that by joining you guys I can be honest with myself about the wobbles I'll probably have along the way! I've got no real end date or weight in mind...I just want to be a good role model to my daughter. I probably have 3 stone to lose to get me mid-healthy BMI. I Have no idea what I would look like at that weight - I haven't been that weight for nearly 18 years. Apologies for the essay....and good luck to all weighing in tomorrow.

tarajupp · 03/03/2014 01:06

Well busy week - keeping on at it - now lost 17.5kg (2.75 stone) NSV my yoga teacher didn't recognise me from behind, everyone at work is commenting, my husband keeps sneaking looks at me and grinning and I bought and fit into a size smaller jeans.

I got out my pre pregnancy clothes and can now pull up most things - just not fasten all! Hopefully will have a whole new free wardrobe by summer.

Good luck to all those starting - keep some paracetamol handy for the first few days. littlemymoomin I struggled too especially in the first week - if you really need to eat something extra make it low carb - some chicken a small piece of cheese etc - at least then you won't constantly be throwing yourself out of ketosis! Bread is probably the worst thing Sad

Katsand · 03/03/2014 12:38

Ok so weighed in today. Week three. No loss :-(. But I kind of new. I've been so unwell so have eaten a little here and there as I was feeling weak. Anyways it's still 19lb loss so I'm happy. Will be super strict this week !!! :-)

BuntyCollocks · 03/03/2014 13:28

Hello all, I'm meeting a cambridge consultant next Monday - was meant to be today, but my DH and DD (14 months) both have a gastro bug, DS (3) is just getting over it, and I think he'd struggle tonight if I popped out with both kids and them all feeling rotten.

Can anyone tell me what to expect - do I take money along with me? Do I get weighed?

I want to lose 2 - 2 1/2 stone, think removing food altogether from the equation is the way forward for me. I'll still technically be overweight (will take me to a bmi of 26), but it's as light as I want to go - I have been smaller and just looked ill. Is that ok, or do they push you to go very small?

tarajupp · 03/03/2014 18:11

Hi Bunty
Good luck starting Cambridge. I'm doing Exante which is all online so can't help with practicalities. I do think they will weigh you though!
I'm sure someone else who knows more will be along soon Smile

Lovesswimming · 03/03/2014 18:53

Hi bunty, I started with Cambridge last year. Take money or a card (my consultant had a machine) she weighed and measured me and filled in a card for me to take each time. I then bought a weeks worth of packets. I have to say I really didn't like them and only lasted 2 weeks as I couldn't eat the packs. I then found Exante and slim and save.
I've recently started again and just order slim and save.
In terms of weight, my goal would have me at 25 BMI at that I'll be a size 12-14 still and still curvy bit it's a weight I'm comfortable at. Remember you will put a few lbs back on so maybe go a little lower than you want to be.
Good luck!

tiggermummy70 · 04/03/2014 09:31

Hi everyone,

weigh in yesterday. loss 0.9lbs.
today lost 1.5lbs. officially have reached first goal I am under 180lbs!
hope doesn't bounce back tomorrow. reset goal to 173lbs which would take me out of obese and into just over weight.

tarajupp · 04/03/2014 21:22

Well done tiggermummy - that is fab.
Nice to be able to change your goal!

I have reached my first goal - weighing less than my DH Blush Next goal is to get out of obese - need to lose another 3kg

After that I'm really not sure - I think the ideal weight range for my height and build is unrealistic - but then I never thought I would lose this much so at the moment I'm just hoping to wear a cossie by the pool without embarrassment Grin

tarajupp · 05/03/2014 22:32

Weigh in today - another 1kg off. I know I should be happy but finding the slowing of weight loss demotivating. Just ordered my next month of Exante so need a kick up the bum now!!

How is everyone else doing?

Tinwe · 06/03/2014 04:12

My weight loss has stalled too (did an extra mid week weigh) but I think it's to be expected on week 2. I know it's the overall picture that matters most and I lost 10lb in week 1, but it is disheartening when it slows so much and you're on such a strict diet :(

bubblebabeuk · 06/03/2014 09:28

Hi everyone, i did CD previously and lost loads however two DC on and i am at my all time heaviest so am switching between slim n save and exante. Week one i lost 12lbs week to another 5lbs whoop whoop

MrsBradfield · 06/03/2014 22:14

Lost 2lbs this week taking me to 21lb in 8 weeks. Am the lowest weight I've been since 2010, currently sitting at 10.7 need to get another 16lbs off to be at a happy weight. Having sat/sun off then back on it big time mon, for everyone struggling, I know it's hard but you do see the results and it's so worth it. Looking forward to seeing my mum on the 21st and seeing if she can notice the difference.

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 07/03/2014 08:35

Well done to all.

Just under 1kg this week so 7.7kg for the first 4 weeks. I'm happy with that.

tarajupp · 07/03/2014 14:20

Well done all on your losses Smile

Another 1.5kg off this week! Phew.

Just been bra shopping as now lost almost 3st in 2m so my 38 DD not as supportive as usual. Looked at the bra intervention thread and got myself a 34GG that fits like a dream.

NSV - got asked my age at the checkouts in Sainsbo's - not bad for a 35 year old Grin

tiggermummy70 · 08/03/2014 16:52

travelling back from overnight trip to Glasgow.
dropped a lot of weight over last two days but couldn't weigh in this morning. so wondering if weight will bounce tomorrow?
I have scan and blood work on Monday and then I start dropping sachets to add food.

tiggermummy70 · 09/03/2014 13:14

Getting annoyed with keep pulling trs up all time.

tiggermummy70 · 10/03/2014 16:48

weigh in and measuring after 8 weeks on CD.
total lost 28lb.
waist lost 14cm
hips lost 9cm
BMI: 35.7 to 30.6
bf% : 43% to 35.6%

now dropping one sachet adding simple meal.

tarajupp · 10/03/2014 21:41

Wow tigger - that is brilliant!!
With your meals are you going to stick to recipes to keep you in ketosis or go for more normal food?

I have decided to keep going until I go away in May as I'm not convinced I can lose weight any other way! I am having some chicken and green veg at weekends to keep me sane and the odd slice of ham and sliver of cheese in the week. Evenso I'm a bit apprehensive about another 2 months. Will keep posting to keep me on track.

tiggermummy70 · 10/03/2014 22:33

As I am doing research project so I don't get a choice.
week one is a meal of 80g green veg/salad and 150-180g lean protein cooked with no added fat.
Tonight I had asparagus & broccoli and prawns - which I steamed.

Week 2 adds a breakfast I think - 2 shredded wheat or one slice wholemeal bread

tarajupp · 12/03/2014 16:08

Well had a rubbish few days after night out with work on Friday and although back in ketosis have been more hungry. Am going to weigh tonight to see what the damage is.

In the meantime got fed up of my bra not fitting and looked here: Bra Intervention thread
Am in a comfy bra for the first time in years! Grin
