2014 - it's my year .....whose with me??

Right there is no denying it - I am very overweight/obese by BMI charts. I have seen my weight gradually creep up over the past few years and I've now reached the tipping point where I stood on the scales and actually cried Sad

So from now, no more excuses, no hiding behind "it's Xmas/birthday",no lying about my weight to hide the shame. No "I've just has a baby" excuse now the youngest is 8months.

Here goes:

I am 5ft 5in and today weigh 15st 4lb. I somehow wear size 16 (promise not crammed in!) with alright legs, huge butt (always has been!), fat tummy and large boobs.

I would like to lose at least 4st and feel more energetic for my kids :)

Whose with me??!!!

How is everyone doing today? Its been a tough one here with dp eating for Britain. 'Apparently' he is starting the cabbage soup diet tomorrow at least the smell of that won't be tempting!

Desperately hard for me tonight. Kids wanted curry, so they are tucking into homemade chicken korma with basmati and naan bread Envy. I dished it out and had to run up to my bedroom and close the door until they were finished. DH is downing a nice cold beer before his. That was my first major test. I'm proud of myself for resisting but it was very hard ...

Well done for staying strong! Its been a testing day here on slim and save. But I actually really like the shakes, they taste really nice, and the meals are good too. But of course they are no where near as tasty as a snickers bar!

You are on a meal replacement programme too noswingpark? That makes me feel not so alone :) I did this a few years ago, the first week is hard but after approximate 10 days the cravings go and it becomes much easier. I like the all or nothing idea - lose the weight fast and then go onto something less restrictive to maintain.

By cutting back I am now 164.5lbs GrinGrin not sure what my aim is as far as weight loss I just want to feel better in my clothes.

How is everyone else getting on?

noswingpark · 03/01/2014 19:00

Sylvana yes I'm doing slim and save meal replacement plan. I'm feeling really positive (at the moment haha). There is a thread which I'm on also for people on a vlcd diet its really good for motivation!
What day does everyone weigh?

BearsInMotion · 04/01/2014 18:12

Hmm, don't think I could do meal replacement! I do have the advantage that I do all the cooking so DP and DD have to eat healthily too... Not going too badly so far - lentil bake for tea and enough left for another meal did have a leftover chocolate truffle though!
