Im back and i need support! after finishing the 30 day shred on the other thread the plan to move onto ripped in 30 failed, i had an injury followed by a stomach bug followed by a cold type virus then ds had an operation and all together i've been out nearly 3 months! i've gained the inches i lost back and im feeling very crap about it, im also hell of a run down, lots of headaches, mouth ulcers, palpitations (from all the sugar) so im going back to base and starting the shred again TODAY! anyone else still shredding??

What rest days are you supposed to do?
One a week, or one after each level?

Bubaloo, I'm also shredding for something on November 30th, nothing like leaving it til the last minute Grin

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/11/2013 12:54

no rest days Grin its consecutively for 30 days.

i just crouched down to sweep up with a dustpan and nearly cried! Grin

im shredding for the work xmas party on Dec 6th.

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 13:10

Oh ok, saw MsFiremanSam mentioned rest days and didn't know if they were scheduled in.
They're not then. What fun Hmm

My dp started a new job at Easter, it's at a huge well known company.
Apparently the office staff don't really attend this one (through choice), it's more the management, right to the top so thought that at least of I get the dress 'wrong', I can feel good Smile

You know, if I can stand up on the 30th.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/11/2013 14:34

I suppose if one had time to schedule in rest days then they would be allowed but I need 30 days of straight exercise for results!

I used to do c25k but it brought on my migraines and I was laid up for ages and my GP told me off for even considering running.

MsFiremanSam · 03/11/2013 16:15

I'm adding in a few rest days just because I'm only 11 weeks post-partum and easing myself in! Sorry for confusion!
Been out walking for 5 miles today and don't think I can manage to Shred as well, but back on it tomorrow.

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 16:17

No it's fine Smile
I am using YouTube and didn't know if rest days were mentioned in the DVDs.

11 weeks?
Blooming heck!
Apart from the party, I am totally fed up of tucking my belly into my jeans when I sit down, but my youngest is 6... Grin

IcedCoffeeQueen · 03/11/2013 16:18

Jillian strongly recommends rest days if i remember rightly its 2 days shred one day cardio one day rest with a minimum of 1 rest day per week. Your body needs the rest to repair the muscle and will give better results.

I have had a bad weekend, alot going on at the moment but will be starting fresh tomorrow!

Thank you Iced.
Does she have a specific cardiac routine then?

IcedCoffeeQueen · 03/11/2013 16:53

no probs, she didnt specify when i done the last round of shred i just done my usual shred but done a cardio dvd afterwards i used one of my davina ones or you could just do the shred i suppose but i would definately take rest days i took 2 days off a week last time and still got great results, shame i ruined it afterwards! lol

Ok great, I am being a total cheapskate and just using YouTube so I'll have a look on there Smile

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/11/2013 18:32

doesn't mention anything about rest days on the dvd. i figured because its a 30 day thing and results are in one month and it's 10, 10, 10 that that didn't include any rests.

i was 6 miles per weekday usually so i should be a size 6 by the time im done Grin Grin

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 18:38

Oh, bugger.
Maybe I'll just keep going then Smile

I'm a size 8, but flabby Hmm

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/11/2013 18:41

im the type of person who if i give myself a rest day i lose all motivation. i have to just keep going or id never go back.

im a very flabby 14 Sad

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 18:51

Yes I'm concerned about not starting again if I stop.

I did that with running Confused

I'm just at the point where clothes are starting not be comfortable or flattering now and I certainly can't afford a new wardrobe.

I had a few turns on a friends vibro plate.
Everything I would like to wobble didn't, and could distinctly feel my belly, arse and thighs flapping about Hmm

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 03/11/2013 20:04

when i do star jumps my arse cheeks clap Grin Blush

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 20:09

We are sexy Grin

MsFiremanSam · 03/11/2013 22:11

Laughing at this thread!!
Have to admit the first time I shredded last week I was motivated to continue by the fact that when I jumped my belly went the opposite way to the rest of me...

Whereisegg · 03/11/2013 22:21

Laughing hurts.
I might try laughing next week Smile

Whereisegg · 04/11/2013 16:19

The Skinny Jeans Of Truth.

I'm feeling better today, still aching but much less than yesterday.
I did have to shout my way through the bicycle crunches though Grin

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 04/11/2013 19:39

they are evil!

Whereisegg · 04/11/2013 19:43

My friends dd does them at gym.
I'm considering ringing childline on her behalf Wink

Whereisegg · 05/11/2013 06:57

I just walked downstairs without wincing Grin

MsFiremanSam · 05/11/2013 10:10

Wow, impressive loss Coconuts!

Day 5 done. Felt a lot easier for a couple if days rest. Lost a pound, which makes 8 so far. But I really, really hate those side lunges!!
