I've completely out of character just signed up and paid for this without doing any research and now I'm starting to re-think wether this was a good idea! Have any of you used this to lose weight and if so did it work?

I've been doing it for a week and a half. I lost 9lbs in week 1 and 2lbs so far this week ( some of week 1 will have been water). I'm not huuuuge either I was 9st10 and now just under 9st (just saying that to point out that I'm not losing weight fast because I'm very overweight) I'm finding it pretty easy tbh as I need that structure to stop me from cheating!

Crazycake · 11/09/2013 21:28

Thank you oli! Well I've paid up now, may as well give it a go, just waiting for it to arrive. I have around 3 stone to lose but like you need a definite structure, counting points or sins isn't good for me, I'm much better not going near the bad stuff at all. Thanks for replying Grin

No problem, good luck! Another 4 pounds off this week :)

Crazycake · 13/09/2013 10:36

That's fantastic, well done! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive, I'm thinking of maybe having a cheeky glass of wine tonight as I've not been able to start it yet Wink

I would lol got to make the most if it before you start!

Crazycake · 19/09/2013 13:58

How are you getting on oli? I've started today, just had a shake for breakfast and one for lunch with lots of green tea and water to drink. Can you have any snacks? The person I've bought it from is pretty rubbish with after care!

Good thanks :) not lost as much this week but it's the wrong time of the month for weighing myself iyswim! Yes you are supposed to have 2 healthy snacks a day, I usually have carrot sticks but you can have any fruit, veg, rice cakes etc. our distributor has a Facebook group for support, see if yours can add you to one. Good luck!

vickiplus12013 · 02/10/2013 23:15

Hello. How are you both going on with this diet? I've just ordered the shakes myself although am very dubious at this stage. All the reviews I've ready are pretty much good however I never know whether or not to trust these things and it's the first time I've given in. Desperate to shed the remaining baby weight! x

This is a shakes or capsules diet, it is 17 portions of fruit and veg a day so it will act as a supplement for one of your meals a day although you are allowed snacks as well. For any more information or meal/smoothie ideas and anything else I can help with pm me and I will help you along your journey with advice and support x

Not only resurrecting a zombie thread, but trying to sell stuff as well Hmm

FWIW my niece keeps trying to get me to do Juice plus & I'm not biting because it's a pile of crap.

Anyone would lose weight replacing 2 meals a day with 217 cal of icky milkshake & having a 600 cal dinner.
Pretty sure Slim-Fast were doing this 20 years ago.

shakinstevenslovechild · 24/03/2014 20:05

Like the juice plus rep who was spamming the boards the other day, then complained because people were being mean?

No thanks I'll avoid it like the plague and report your thinly veiled spammy post too.

My friend did it last year, she even became a rep for it.

She now acknowledges it's a load of bollocks.

It's all about healthy eating - yes there are short cuts, and sometimes a boost to kick start things goes a long way, but there's just no substitute for eating plenty of fruit and veg, drinking as much water as you can manage, and exercising. I changed my mind-set this year after 2 kids and have made a deal with myself; it took me 10 years to put on 4 stone so I'm happy for it to take a year to lose it. I've lost 28 lbs so far :-)

You Risk Transferring stirred up toxins to the baby with juice plus diet.. very dangerous- When you “detox” your body is releasing the toxins that have been stored away in your cells back into your blood stream. Why do our bodies store toxins in the first place? When we have over loaded our bodies with toxins to the point where our organs cannot safely usher them out of our bodies without causing damage along the way, our bodies attach a buffer molecule to the toxin. This buffer molecule helps to make it less toxic for the short run and then stores that toxin in your cell. This keeps harmful toxins away from your organs and away from blood circulation. These toxins are knocked loose during detox and carried to the liver, where they are processed to remove the buffering agent, and then carried out of the body. Keep in mind that your blood will be passing through the placenta, as well as providing the nutrients to your milk. This means that if there are tons of toxins being circulated in your blood, they will find their way to your baby, which is not good!

I have been doing Juice Plus since November last year, and really see it as a changed lifestyle. I used to use food as a release from my emotions and binged when I felt upset or low, this in turn created a downward cycle of eating rubbish then feeling ugly, unfit and fat. Now since being on the shakes and chewable vitamins I have more energy, therefore taking part in more exercise and fitness and have lost 13 pounds. I really feel great and people are complementing me. My skin has cleared up of spots and I am in a positive mood about the future !!!
