Make me shred

The table is pulled out of the way. The jingly music is playing. Jillian is grinning at me and waiting to introduce me to her "two best girls helping us out". But I cannot bring myself to press play.
I did so well last week, a full week of shredding and watching what I eat. This week, Mr Motivation has left the building. I've already hada a square of chocolate.

Well done wallpaper and ripping thanks for the motivation and good luck with the running Grin

I did day 6 yesterday and just did day 7 of level 2! Still can't do a bloody press up but i can do most of the rest of it (apart from the harder plank cardio bits)

Good luck remaining shreddies!

RippingYarns · 09/09/2013 08:29

Thanks wallpaper and everyone, this thread has been brilliant for motivation and support

Right, wallpaper where are you? Off on my first 'run in about 15mins. . .

IcedCoffeeQueen · 09/09/2013 09:09

Well after the weeked off and being all set to start ripped today I'm choked with the cold! No voice, can barely breath and zero energy :-(

RippingYarns · 09/09/2013 09:35

Oh iced, sorry you're ill

Get well soon

IcedCoffeeQueen · 09/09/2013 11:12

Thank you Ripping, Ive been ill since Saturday I cant decide whether to rest or fight on through, I feel rubbish but really want to keep on it

wallpaperaddict · 09/09/2013 12:24

thanks twenty and well done on day 7 L2!
iced sorry to here you are unwell. I'd say rest. I didn't rest when I felt virusy and I can't seem to get rid of it! I felt awful again yesterday, but it was a planned rest day before starting running so it was suited me! Weather permitting I will attempt running this evening!

milk · 09/09/2013 14:21

Good news folks, I'm feeling tonnes better.

Basically after a visit to the doctor explaining I was feeling very depressed, he ordered me a blood test which I did and it turns out I had hardly any vitamin D in my body Shock

After a few weeks of taking strong vitamin D supplements, I now feel better Grin

I have decided to do Insanity instead of Shred, but I wish all you lovely ladies good luck :)

RippingYarns · 09/09/2013 14:27

I'd rest up too, iced. If you're doing this as a long term project, take the week to recover fully and feel well enough to take on the full force again.

Milk, sorry you've been crook too but glad you're on the fitness bus again

Wallpaper, you're going to love the running! The rain was quite refreshing this morning - can't wait to go again!

MrsMcGregor · 09/09/2013 21:26

Well done Ripping and Wallpaper - you've done brilliantly. First run done already, Ripping and a parkrun to come? You should be really proud of yourself. Wish I could feel so motivated!

Iced sorry you're not feeling well. Agree with Ripping to rest and get yourself right.

Twenty and Binks you are flying! And Milk, glad you're feeling better and good on your GP for testing you for Vit D deficiency. I've never been tested but try to remember to take a high dose spray every day.

As for me? Grrrr. Friday night, I decided to have Saturday off as we were busy. Saturday night I thought I'd take Sunday off because I was so tired then I would be able to get back to it in peace come this morning. I didn't, however, plan on horrendous gallstone pain last night. Spent this morning in bed and the rest of the day hobbling about, feeling sick and doing what I had to do and no more. Am so tender that I definitely won't be dong anything tomorrow, am away Wed but fingers crossed for Thursday. I'm ready for D10 of L2 so it's a real bummer. Might just do L1 on Thurs to get me back into it but think I'll be missing any sit-ups.

RippingYarns · 09/09/2013 22:25

You know what's motivated me today?

I had to cut the back of my wellies and contemplated having winter boots made to measure because my legs were too fat.

I put my wellies on today and could fit my fingers down them :-O

Same with my winter boots - I can fit my whole hand down those :-O

wallpaperaddict · 09/09/2013 22:31

mrsmc that sounds rough, take it easy and get back into it once you feel ready.

milk i wondered where you'd gone, glad your GP is getting you sorted.

ripping it sounds like you've really toned those legs up!

TwentyTinyToes · 10/09/2013 09:14

Day 8 level 2 completed. Managed all the last abs section without a break!

milk glad you are feeling better and mrsmc hope you feel better soon.

It is so rewarding to see changes isn't it ripping, i noticed dips in my shoulders this morning that i am sure weren't there before jillian.

TwentyTinyToes · 10/09/2013 09:16

iced hope you are soon feeling better, definitely rest up.

RippingYarns · 10/09/2013 09:32

Morning shreddies

I'm going to shred on the days I'm not running, I've got the impetus and don't want to lose it.

Think I'll do a L2 today - I need the core/abs work. I'd like a waist for christmas.

Twenty, you're motoring along now, it's great when you can see results isn't it? Well done.

IcedCoffeeQueen · 10/09/2013 10:09

Well done to all those shredding, im gutted im having to wait it out, got my ripped in 30 chart up on the wall raring to go, feeling more alive today and throat not so sore but still really bunged up and getting out of breath just walking around the house so looks like I need to keep resting, I WANT to workout I miss it!

duckyfuzz · 10/09/2013 11:32

Can i join in? I've just done day one of L2, having done 6 days of L1 - I got to L2 before the summer then went on holiday and undid all the good work. I need to lose serious inches off my legs, v inspired by RippingYarns - I hate wearing wellies for the reasons you mention! The rest of me is ok, bit wobbly round the tum which shred is really helping with

RippingYarns · 10/09/2013 13:38
Grin

i've not lost a mm off my waist, but my legs are looking good

jump on board, welcome

BinksToEnlightenment · 11/09/2013 11:05

I've finished! Day ten of level three done this morning! I'm shredded.

I haven't lost weight or gotten thinner, but I'm tight like a tiger now! And I'm so strong! I want to punch something just to see how hard I can hit!

RippingYarns · 11/09/2013 11:29

whoo hooo!!! go Binks

that's brilliant, well done. I haven't lost any weight either but feel epic. well not epic, but bloody good

loving 'tight like a tiger' Grin

IcedCoffeeQueen · 11/09/2013 13:58

Well done binks!! im so jealous of you all Im missing Jillian shouting at me through the telly!

I think i'll be off until Monday this cold seems to be moving into my chest, really breathless. I wasn't up to cooking last night so dh brought in a Chinese and a mars bar im sooo bloated now I look about 6 months pregnant :( I need to work out

wallpaperaddict · 11/09/2013 15:56

Well done binks! It's good feeling strong isn't it!?

Sorry to read that you are still not well iced, how frustrating for you. But it's best to get yourself fit and well or you'll burnout!

I'm still waiting on my ripped DVD, amazon are being particularly slow! But I managed my first run yesterday which was surprisingly easy and I plan to alternate between them both if I can.

BinksToEnlightenment · 11/09/2013 16:49

Thank you everybody. I might not have done it without you all

I've ordered ripped in 30 too!

duckyfuzz · 13/09/2013 10:30

I've been away for 2 days with work so psyching myself up for it later today...

RippingYarns · 13/09/2013 16:56

come on ducky, you can do it

had a day off yesterday (as recommended by c25k)

i felt so lazy, i'm going to shred on days off

TwentyTinyToes · 13/09/2013 18:28

Evening everyone. Right well i did day 9 on Wednesday but am now visiting family and have not shredded since Blush will get back on it on Monday. I charged around the play gym with DS this afternoon so that must have burnt a few calories.

Well done Binks excellent. I know what you mean about feeling strong, it is very satisfying. Good luck to those shredding and hope the running is good.
