The table is pulled out of the way. The jingly music is playing. Jillian is grinning at me and waiting to introduce me to her "two best girls helping us out". But I cannot bring myself to press play.
I did so well last week, a full week of shredding and watching what I eat. This week, Mr Motivation has left the building. I've already hada a square of chocolate.

life I've not done it yet! DD didn't go down for a nap today, and I want to concentrate! She joins in but it's distracting! I'm going to do it this evening once both DC in bed.

There's a 3 pack of JM DVDs in amazon for £19. I might get that and then there's a choice of things. I wonder if I can combine them or they each need to be done individually? Might have a read up on them later!

wallpaperaddict · 21/08/2013 20:52

Wow! Level 3, day 1 done! That was brilliant! It went so quickly, really relentless. I'm so hot I feel like I'll combust! So so so much better than level 2.

IcedCoffeeQueen · 21/08/2013 21:01

good to hear level 3 is better than 2, im hating level 2! only three more days of it to do though!

MrsMcGregor · 22/08/2013 10:34

Ah you Level 3'ers are putting this Level 1'er to shame Wink. Seriously, fantastic stuff and well done for persevering.

Day 13 done today. Going right down into all the squats now, increased weights for those eye level raises in circuit 3 and also for the chest flies ... although my chest fly muscles are seriously in bad shape .... my (how do I describe it?) muscles at the front of my underarms seriously quiver doing those chest flies and I'm only using 1/1.5kg weights Hmm. Don't recall being this pathetic 12 months ago! Took the kids to a new park yesterday and there was a fab outdoor gym. Loads of equipment, some with weights, some where you use your own body weight as resistance. Think we'll go back today or tomorrow Grin.

RippingYarns · 22/08/2013 10:45

morning shreddies Grin

i didn't shred yesterday but did drag a carpet cleaner about the house for an hour and a half so got a work out there

am about to embark on L2D3 and can't believe i'm actually enjoying even this level so far Shock

some of you are awesome machines, you've definitely inspired me to carry on with something after i've finished the shred. i think the c25k will be next for me - i need to increase my cardio capabilities, especially after reading the thread about fitness levels in your 50s

IcedCoffeeQueen · 22/08/2013 12:07

has anyone found their appetite has decreased a lot since starting the shred? before I started I was constantly hungry and grazing all day long I could eat bigger meals than my dh and wolf them down, but in the last week I can barely finish anything, im eating Weetabix in the morning, chicken sandwich on brown bread and a handful of grapes in the afternoon and then whatever usual meal in the evening spag bol etc, im drinking water in the day and occasionally have a light choc mousse in the evening but only really because dh is rather than actual hunger, its most unlike me!

Preciousbundles · 22/08/2013 14:06

Iced - very healthy! My appetite is the same ... breakfast is ceral and whole meal toast, lunch at the moment is hummus with raw veg and either salad or crackers with either a yogurt or homemade, calorific biscuit afterwards, dinner is whatever and then in the evening I have a few squares of chocolate. Haven't lot an ounce but my cellulite is less dimply Grin.

Ripping - can you link to the fitness in your 50's thread please? I'm heading for the wrong side of 45 and need to think ahead!!

RippingYarns · 22/08/2013 14:13

thread about fitness in middle age

i'm 46 and DH is older than me.

we are determined to keep up with DD

plusonemore · 22/08/2013 14:46

sounds like everyone's doing really well, love hearing about the next levels!

I'm having a day off today after three days straight- purely because my arms hurt so much! Even brushing my hair hurts!! However have lost 4lbs in 3 days and had grilled chicken salad from McDonalds when I took the kids for lunch!

IcedCoffeeQueen · 22/08/2013 16:12

Well I done level 2 as usual today thought id go on and have a little look at level 3 WOW, had to stop at the last cardio circuit as ds was crying but its sooooo much harder, I have 2 more days of level 2 to go and start 3 properly on Monday im scared!!!

Libertine73 · 22/08/2013 16:30

so went camping, drank bodyweight in beer, didn't shred, then couldn't face it for a whole week

back to day 2 for me, but determined to keep it up this time! It's the weekends that seem to throw me off, so much to do, and never seem to have time in the mornings, which is the only time I can be remotely arsed to do it!

Not as punishing this time round I've found though :)

lifesgreatquestions · 22/08/2013 19:03

Uff, very hard to get the desire to shred after work, I hope I can keep it up! Day 22 of non-stop shredding, day 2 of level 3. I think I'm going to go to bed now!

glenthebattleostrich · 22/08/2013 19:34

Level 2 Day 1 done.

I think I may die. Oh that was hard.

I did manage to follow Natalie for a couple of exercises though so that's a very good beginning

BinksToEnlightenment · 22/08/2013 20:15

Day six of level two done. My bum looks amazing. I've had some very pleasing comments!

BinksToEnlightenment · 22/08/2013 20:41

But my god it was HELL!

Crunchymunchyhoneycakes · 22/08/2013 21:26

Day 5 of level one DONE!

Don't know if I will shred tomorrow as am swimming in morning then walking later on but am definitely getting a buzz off it!

wallpaperaddict · 22/08/2013 23:40

Well done to those who shredded today!

I haven't had the time today, long day out with DC and by the time everyone was in bed I was exhausted. Will shred tomorrow evening as have a early start again!

BalloonSlayer · 23/08/2013 09:09

Day 6 Level 1 done.

Phew!

Getting easier thank goodness, but still can't do it all. Mind you I always struggle with Level 1 circuit 1 strength and cardio - I actually think it is the hardest bit in the entire shred.

The lines down the side of my tummy are coming back! Woo hoo!

MrsMcGregor · 23/08/2013 10:25

Day 14 Level 1 half-heartedly done but done nonetheless. Pleased that I have completed 3 consecutive days this week.

Balloon - am so glad to hear you say you struggle with bits of level 1. I loathe the jumping jackings and skipping with a passion. Really struggle to complete the cardio on circuit 1. Yet on Circuit 2, I enjoy the butt kicks and boxing and can complete that. Strange.

Am looking forward to moving up to L2, perhaps on Monday. Rest day tomorrow, then a final L1 on Sunday hopefully before trying L2 on Monday.

Definitely seeing a more toned bum, tummy is hard to tell because it is bloated by bedtime each night despite being fairly flat in the mornings - feel I will need muscles of steel to hold the bloat in Blush. Wish I felt my upper body strength was increasing but have a feeling heavier weights would help there as I'm probably toning more than muscle building.

Keep it up Shredders!

IcedCoffeeQueen · 23/08/2013 10:46

Will be day 19 for me today, contemplating moving to level 3 now cause its so much harder an

lifesgreatquestions · 23/08/2013 10:49

Balloon, those lines are so cool aren't they!

I'm on day 3 of level 3 but I was motivated to do all three levels this morning so got a little extra in. It was nice to go back and see my improvement in strength and stamina. I'm still not a Natalie but I'm proud of my achievement. 23 days ago I could not do 30 press ups!

Mrs congratulations on completing three consecutive weeks, that is a real achievement! The bloating is a real downer isn't it? Each morning I feel my stomach and feel proud and each evening I feel my stomach and worry!

IcedCoffeeQueen · 23/08/2013 10:49

phones playing up!..... meant to say - and level 2 is boring me now

RippingYarns · 23/08/2013 14:21

MrsM i found that hard too, the 1st circuit of cardio was a killer Confused

still L2D4 finally done, i'm able to jump during half the skaters now instead of lunging dangerously towards the floor Grin

keep it up, we're going to be shredded in no time Wink

BinksToEnlightenment · 23/08/2013 18:48

Day seven of level two done.. But I've hurt my back. I think I am going to have to rest it until it stops hurting. I am gutted :(

glenthebattleostrich · 23/08/2013 19:42

Level 2 day 2
