The table is pulled out of the way. The jingly music is playing. Jillian is grinning at me and waiting to introduce me to her "two best girls helping us out". But I cannot bring myself to press play.
I did so well last week, a full week of shredding and watching what I eat. This week, Mr Motivation has left the building. I've already hada a square of chocolate.

IcedCoffeeQueen · 15/08/2013 15:52

DONE!

lifesgreatquestions · 15/08/2013 16:42

Day 15, level 2 day 5 done. I'm bored but committed. It feels like Wednesday, when I can move up, is ages away!

glenthebattleostrich · 15/08/2013 19:48

Level 1, Day 5 done :)

This is the longest I've managed so very proud of myself. Went to SW today and (despite not being very good food wise this week) I've lost 2lb. Very pleased with myself.

I measured myself at the start (37 inch waist, 40 inch hips) and am going to do the same at the start of each level and on day 30. Be interested to see the difference.

MrsMcGregor · 16/08/2013 09:26

Morning Ladies! Day 9, Level 1 done. Phew! Missed two days and notice it. Went deeper into the squats/lunges this morning and feeling it already. Am going to stick with L1 for a while yet and not move to L2 after tomorrow.

Is everyone else noticing a difference in tone? My abs are definitely tighteninging - I see it on my waistbands! Yeah! Hope some of my spare tyre Blush is being jiggled away Grin.

Well done all of you for keeping it up and so good to hear of its effect on our mood too.

Have a good day all.

milk · 16/08/2013 09:30

OMG My thighs have seized up!!! They are heavy as logs!!! ARGHHHHH!

What do I do? lol

RippingYarns · 16/08/2013 09:36

Morning MrsM, I'm on day 15 of L1 - no way am I fit enough to move up, but I'm really enjoying what I'm doing so not putting myself under any pressure to move up yet.

My shoulders and upper chest are toned and my ankles are visible again. I think my arms are changing too. Like it said before it will take so much more for my abs to come into play, but I don't care, it's exercise that counts for me.

Good luck everyone for today's workout

wallpaperaddict · 16/08/2013 09:52

Hello everyone! Well done to those who have already shredded today!

milk when my thighs felt heavy I found a brisk walk or bike ride helped to loosen them off!

I'm not shredding this morning!!!! I'm so bored with it that I'd rather go school uniform shopping! I will do it this evening though, I promise. I mean I'm on day 16, I can't give up now! Wink

TwentyTinyToes · 16/08/2013 09:58

Morning all.

My legs were agony yesterday, getting on the floor was really tricky and DS asked me on more than one occasion if "mummy broken" err yes! Might have a rest day today and do some yoga later instead. Or should i push through the discomfort?

I can definitely see an improvement, no idea what i weigh but squeezed into some prepregnancy jeans yesterday so it must be working.

Good luck everyone! MrsM are you moving up a level after 10 days? I will give level 2 a go but if too hard then may stick with level 1 a bit longer. milk are you shredding then?

Well done Ripping sounds like a great improvement and congratulations glen, wish i had weighed or measured myself before starting.

I agree this thread is very motivating reading of everyone's successes!

lifesgreatquestions · 16/08/2013 11:06

Congratulations on the weight loss Glen! I was going to measure myself at each stage and then decided to wait to day 30 as I was worried I'd feel disillusioned if I didn't see a shift in stats so I'll be curious to know if your stats shift in the shorter spaces of time!

Welcome back MrsM! If I didn't have a 30 day goal I would be much choosier about what I was doing. I think when it's all over I'm going to wish I could cut and piece together the exercises I want to continue with!

Milk, hot bath? I've been taking walks everyday but I find that my legs are even more stiff after that and it isn't until I get home and into the tub that they return to a semblance of their former selves.

Wallpaper, you cannot give up, you're over the hump! I'm also bored, maybe we can look at it as just one of those things that has to be done rather than think about whether we will do it or not. So I brush my teeth, I poo, and I shred! None are enjoyable but all are things I just have to do!

Twenty, doing it every day and pushing through the discomfort does I think get results, and I have to say I usually feel better rather than worse (except for my knees which I think are now done with the shred), but a lot of people seem to benefit in different ways form taking a break too.

glenthebattleostrich · 16/08/2013 12:02

Thanks, I'm off for a walk this afternoon and will be shredding after that.

Also, back on the slimming world wagon this week so hopefully that will help the shrinking. Can't believe I've actually made it to half way through level one :)

BalloonSlayer · 16/08/2013 12:09

Hello!

Marking my place for later in the week.

Got back to shredding the day before yesterday and was VERY pleased with myself. That's L1 D1 done, yippeee!

Then yesterday I missed a step coming down the stairs and have twisted my sodding ankle, and hurt my back a bit. So I can't do any more for a while. Sad And it was going so well too . . .

But I am determined to keep on going as soon as I can, hence the place-marking.

Smile
TwentyTinyToes · 16/08/2013 12:35

Day 10 done, my legs are ruined.

BinksToEnlightenment · 16/08/2013 13:50

Can I join in? I'm on day 5 of level 1. I did get up to day 2 of level 2 in July, but had to stop due to illness, so I restarted this week.

Today was my first day of 1k weights. Crumbs! It was tough.

IcedCoffeeQueen · 16/08/2013 15:27

Ok day 14 done! half way mark tomorrow really feeling like I need a rest again and the weekends are always so difficult for me. Managed 30 mins of davinas target after todays shred, really struggled though my legs feel like they are made of lead when im working out and I struggle to keep them moving long before I feel ready to stop.

Im actually wondering how long its going to take to get the shape I want, my pouch/muffin top area is what I want to shrink its 35" just now im thinking 31ish will be much better but im under 9 stone now and it wont budge!

wallpaperaddict · 16/08/2013 20:11

Hello everyone! Welcome to the newbies!

I am going to shred now, after making it this far I couldn't not do it! I've procrastinated long enough-amazing what I'd do to avoid shredding chutney making, bread making, school uniform shopping, oh and we must buy new pillows TODAY! Well now I'm out of excuses and feel bad anyway that I've not done it so I'm doing it. Grin

glenthebattleostrich · 16/08/2013 20:12

Level 1, Day 6 done :)

You were all right, it did feel easier and I followed Natalie for a fair chunk of it - apart from the press ups and the last ab bit. Feeling pretty pleased with myself.

wallpaperaddict · 16/08/2013 20:56

Well done glen!
Level 2 day 6 done. I pushed myself so hard today. Followed Nat for 95%! I will have to shred again in the evening tomorrow as we are out for the day and I won't get a chance first thing. I think the encouragement I needed was the fact that I measured my hips earlier-2 inches lost!!!

lifesgreatquestions · 17/08/2013 11:26

Just writing in as I didn't shred first thing this morning and am worried that I now won't, so posting here should help! I had an uncharacteristically and unplanned "Big Night" full of high drama (of the comic variety) followed by more alcohol than I've had in years. Slept in, woke up and made a lasagne and ate half of the damn thing, for breakfast, who does that? Confused Exercising on an empty stomach is sooo much easier, I'm dreading shredding.

Balloon, sounds painful, hope you have a fast recovery!

Twenty, I know the feeling, I've booked in my knee replacement surgery for 13 days from now!

Hi Binks! I hate my weights!

Icedcoffee, that's inspiring, perhaps I will follow my shred with more exercise...

Amazing Wallpaper! After today only 13 days to go!

wallpaperaddict · 17/08/2013 14:02

life LASAGNE FOR BREAKFAST!!! Grin

I haven't shredded yet, but purely because we had plans and I knew I couldn't fit it in. I will do it this evening, promise. I actually enjoyed it last night but only because DC were in bed and I could swear at the tv!

iced I am amazed how much you are doing! Don't wear yourself out! There's no way I'd manage another workout after shredding!

lifesgreatquestions · 17/08/2013 15:08

I know, awful, to my credit I haven't eaten anything else yet today, not because I'm making up for it but because I'm still full!

I've shredded, was a pretty poor effort but it's done. Lying in bed this morning I seemed a little trimmer, my tummy has been rounded even when lying on my back and this morning it was much smaller and my hips seemed to be if not smaller then firmer, hard to tell which, or both. I'm anxious to take my measurements but am going to wait 13 more days.

Hope your shred later is a good one Wallpaper!

BinksToEnlightenment · 17/08/2013 15:34

I moved up to level two today, after five days on level one. It was mega hard, but I managed most of Natalie's version and only swapped to smaller weights right at the very end because I was getting really shaky.

glenthebattleostrich · 17/08/2013 16:25

Level 1, day 7 done :)

Left DH supervising the toddler so only had 1 interruption! Binks I am hugely impressed, I'm dreading level 2.

Iced, you have inspired me, I'm going to try some yoga later too since I shredded early today.

BinksToEnlightenment · 17/08/2013 18:17

glenthebattleostrich - I only moved up because I did the full ten days of level one at the end of last month. Otherwise, no way would I!
