I'm at the end of my tether and becoming seriously down,

Since having my first child 8 years ago I've gone up and down with pregnancies but have NEVER been 'slim' again since my first pregnancy.

And for the whole 8 years I've HATED my body. I have depression and i eat ALOT. I'm a pig, I'm being tough on myself here because I need to face up to it!

I asked my husband to get me a packet of cookies when he was out, he came back with a packet of 8 large cookies at about 2pm. I've eaten 6 :(

I just hate myself.

Im 5ft 5 and I got myself down to 12 stone after xmas, my goal was 10 stone 5.

I got pissed off with it and just started eating badly again (it was bloody hard for me to loose the weight)

I just weighed myself and I'm back to 13 stone 3!

I just keep putting on a stone, loosing it but never loosing more, then gaining it again.

I've tried WW, SW, Exante and Slim and Save.

I hate having sex with my husband because I feel gigantic. He's not seen me naked in years, I won't even take my bra off during sex.

I'm so so sad. I need help :(

Has anyone been in this cycle and beaten it? How??

Please don't beat yourself up so badly! Forget "dieting", once you say you are on one, all it makes you do is constantly think about food! Instead think healthy eating, cut out the sugar, anything that has sugar in it will make you very fat! The only way to lose weight and to keep it off is to exercise and eat healthily. Now I know the word "exercise" will strike horror into many of you, but just go out every evening after you have eaten dinner and WALK!! You will be amazed at how quickly the weight falls off and then when you feel a bit fitter, try a little jog, then walk again and so on. Trust me, this works, I started last year and I am 53 and can now run 6 miles every second day and the weight has dropped off and my figure is almost back to what it was in my 20's. Just don't think too much about it and as the weather is so beautiful, it's easy to go on a walk! Hope this helps :) Stay positive!

Well done Apple Smile
Small steps all add up and once you start seeing results you'll be motivated to do more.

Hi, I'm new here and came on to write a post almost identical to this one but then I read this one realised it was basically about me and have just been reading the replies.

I am so fed up with myself, I lost two stone last year and have put all of it back on. I've been eating non stop now for two weeks and I hate myself when I've finished eating but it doesn't stop me at the time. I go away on the 29th June and the thought of having to take my little boy swimming is making me feel ill, in fact I sat here and cried tonight because of it. My husband has had enough because this has been going on for years.

Not sure whether to rejoin WW or try the 5:2 diet...

Google Easyloss virtual gastric band by James Holmes and sue Peckham, it's available as an app or on CDs from amazon. I started using it last February and have lost 2 stone and kept it off. My whole attitude to food has changed and I'm a better, stronger, fitter, more positive, happier person because of it. There is a Facebook support group for people using it which is amazing (and a bit like mumsnet). I don't work for them btw I just think everyone should try it! It's literally changed my life. Any questions feel free to ask me Smile

Get yourself a notebook and draw a line down the centre of the page.
As you are eating, write down exactly what you are eating (literally every morsel)
In the other column, write down how you feel now and why you decided to eat that thing at that moment in time.
Not looking forwards or back, focus on the now.

The people who seem to be "cracking it" are those who have shut their minds to all the past reasons for failure and just looked at the present.
They have not even set themselves "big" targets.

The longest journey starts with a single step.
Try taking that first step and see what happens next.

I feel identical to you and around the same weight and I just can't stop eating crap.

I managed to lose half a stone to get me to 12 stone 4 after Easter however I am now eating junk again so its all going back on.

I agree to being addicted to sugar and know I have to kick this habit.

Hi, there's a 5:2 thread on here if you want to join. I have lost a stone in 6 weeks doing ADF alternate day fasting. It has sorted out my sugar addiction too. I eat 500 calories one day and anything I want to the next. It's easy because I don't have to be constantly thinking about it. I bore everyone silly with it on the diet day, but the next
