Hope DS is OK SDP. Mine has come down grumbling this morning and is obviously hoping I'm going to say he can stay off school. He can't!

OK I shall open the Fitbit today after I've checked with MIL it's OK to do so. Am working today though, so might not be able to do much.
DH has his follow up doctor's appointment today so will probably get the dose of anti-ds increased. He seems much better than he was though.

I appear to have put on 5 lbs since my lowest weight recently, so that makes me so cross with myself. I need to get my mojo back.

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 10/06/2013 09:24

OK I shall retract my previous statement since DS cried when he got to school so may actually be a bit more poorly than I thought. He's now tucked up in bed again.

Lizzylou · 10/06/2013 14:27

Oh no Double, hope DS gets well soon.

Tea, you have done so amazingly well, amazing.

Yay for back at it SPD.

Am on it like sonic again, attempting a run tonight in my new trainers. Hoping they will make me gazelle like Grin

DoubleMum · 10/06/2013 16:07

He's fine after 6 hrs' TV-watching Lizzy.
I've actually been swamped with work today so not really moved from my computer. And my fitness tip about moving at the computer actually made it into the mumsnet email - the irony!!!

OP posts:
SylviaDaisyPouncer · 10/06/2013 19:39

Hope your ds is feeling better double, mine is still suffering earache, he has some drops to try and clear out the mountain of wax in there! He does seem in a lot of pain so perhaps another trip to the dr if it doesn't improve. Can't see him at school tomorrow.

lizzy hope the new trainers have had you gracefully bounding about on your runSmile

double those 5lb will soon go again once fitbit has been unhinged. I'm sure your mojo will be making an appearance too. One good day is all it takes to get back in the swing.

Back to day 1 of the shred tomorrow. Am annoyed I got out of the habit as I was doing so well. It's going to hurt I know....star jumps here I come!

Lizzylou · 10/06/2013 19:58

Ouch at earache Spd, poor lad. Hope he is de-gunged soon !

Well, was a run of 2 halves, first half was horrid, legs felt like lumps of lead, 2nd half was great. Helps that it was all downhill home Grin

Hope you don't hurt too much after the shred SPD. Do extra stretches. Especially the quads. Gillian's DVDs always kill my thighs, makes stairs interesting Confused

DoubleMum · 10/06/2013 20:56

Earache is horrible. Poor DD had more than 20 ear perforations when she was little, ugh, awful. Hope DS gets better soon SPD.
I haven't unhinged my Fitbit, as I haven't managed to speak to MIL yet.
Gillian always sounds faintly satanic.

Hello all. Just so busy at minute so no time for essential chief ing.
double 5lb can be pooed out in a day or two as we all know!
sdp shred is awesome I think for shape changing. A concerted effort with it can be equally as effective as the diet ime.
Lizzy your comment re being gazelle like in trainers reminds me of ' running fast in market slippers' a la peter kay! ( though very sure that isn't an image you portray!)
Returned to gym tonight but only did 30 mins but at least it's something. Am in love with 5:2 concept though. I have done every diet ever, to sort of try and keep around 10:10 weight post kids and this is first that I have ever felt I could do forever. And with not much fuss have got to 10:6 . And I love food and wine so that is really a big deal for me.
Sending a nice virtual pepperminty foot rub for teas foot.

DoubleMum · 11/06/2013 08:01

Funny you should say that Dinky, that may be exactly what's happened!

OP posts:
Lizzylou · 11/06/2013 08:41

Grin Dinky, probably more like it!

Double, yay for you.

have got 2 work colleagues converted to MFP. Funny watching them calculate their calories ("Bloody hell! HOw much for a glass of wine?" and "Shit! I've only got 100 calories until bedtime"). Feel all maternal Grin

DoubleMum · 11/06/2013 09:43

Aww, little baby MFPers. I bet they are converted because you look so great though Lizzy.

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 11/06/2013 11:48

I have shredded!

I feel good. Tomorrow I will probably not feel this way but will be doing it again.

I did my measurements again today (only do it every month or so). My total loss since November is 93.5 cm!! Nearly a metre has gone from various parts of my body Shock

Ds off school again but vast improvement, well the wax is trickling out of his ear so that seems good. Hopefully back to school tomorrow.

Well done double on the big loss. Hope you have got some motivation coming back, you are doing a fine job.Smile

DoubleMum · 11/06/2013 12:33

at a metre loss! I'd be worried I'd lose it in height, there'd be almost nothing left. Glad DS is feeling a bit better, the wax coming out will have lessened the pressure. My DS is back to school today with no moaning, so I presume he's better.
Yes am feeling a bit more motivated today, and my trousers feel nice and loose. I am off on hols July 26th and would definitely like to have lost another stone by then if poss.

OP posts:
SylviaDaisyPouncer · 11/06/2013 13:57

Good to hear there's more room in your trousers double, won't be long before they are falling down!

I go on my hols just before you on the 22nd. Nothing like some time in the sun to motivate us into a big push to lose a stone. Ideally I would like to lose that much but won't be too disappointed if its just a little less. However if my passport doesn't come back soon I won't be jetting off anywhere!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 11/06/2013 14:09

SDP that is truly, truly amazing. Just WOW! Well done and great continued effort.

Double I'm so pleased that the gained lbs fecked arf quickly and that trousers are loose. I wore a pair of shorts at the weekend that fell down whilst I was hobbling around so I'm sure it won't be long before you're also showing your pants off to the great and good at the seaside.

I've turned into an MFP bore Lizzy honestly I go on and on about it to anyone I happen to pass on the street.

Delighted to hear that small boys are all better.

I've just had a phone call from DH - he's in the A&E department having his ankle looked at after a game of touch rugby

DoubleMum · 11/06/2013 14:16

Oh dear, poor DH. What is it about ankles?!
So far this morning I have cleaned out the fridge and the pantry (ugh it was a mess in there) and re-touched some paint along two walls. Haven't really done much work and we all have the dentist after school. Naughty. Should have been wearing my fitbit though.

OP posts:
TeaMakesItAllPossible · 11/06/2013 14:32

Yes. Free your fitbit and let it roam to make opportunities for looser trousers and more ice-cream.

Wink
BsshBossh · 11/06/2013 14:47

Hello all, sorry for not being around much. Wanted to chime in with the keep going Double. The key is patience and always knowing that if you "fail" one day, you have tomorrow as another chance to "win". I've had days, weeks even, especially last year, when I completely ignored my diet and overate. But eventually I got back on. The key thing is that I knew how to lose weight so when I decided to "get back on" it was simple(ish).

Doing well here - combination of fasting, no snacking in between meals, 3 days of weight training & 2 days of HIIT running seems to be keeping my weight stable. In fact, the most recent pair of jeans I bought are now loose which is all fine and dandy but my wallet is not very happy.

Increasing the weights from 2 to 3 days a week is having an amazing impact on my limbs - tauter, more defined. It's quite incredible. HIIT running (alternating jogging running with sprints) is really enjoyable too.

Keep going Chiefs! Will be popping in now and again.

Lizzylou · 11/06/2013 14:56

SPD, 1 metre is amazing! You utter star! Flowers

Grin at tea's shorts falling down. But yes, what the fecking feck is it with your family and ankles!?

Have come on my period a week early. May explain my mood Hmm

Lizzylou · 11/06/2013 14:59

Go Bssh!
You star. You must be a Goddess right now Smile

Lizzylou · 11/06/2013 15:05

Ooh, our gym is doing a new class, Metafit www.metafit-training.com/about-metafit/
Can't go tonight as DH won't be back until late, will try next week.

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 11/06/2013 15:16

Hey chiefs, just popped on to confess - I have sinned (Randalled?)... Ds's birthday yesterday so we had all the family over for a barbecue and I had to make one of those chocolate cakes again - although a smaller version this time. And I ate a piece! Still, it made me feel sick so I haven't eaten anything since, although I'm starting to get hungry now. I think I'll have something light before I go to the gym after work.
Only 11 days till our holiday now and I still want to lose a few pounds before I go. Then when I get back it'll be full steam ahead!

tea - hope your (and your dh's) ankle recovers quickly.
SPD &Double - hope small boys' ears are better.

Hi to everyone else, sorry at work and really busy, will try to be back later.

DoubleMum · 11/06/2013 17:05

Bssh you star!!
Tiger that sounds quite good for a birthday TBH. It's DD's First Communion on Sunday and she wanted a chocolate cake (?!) so we have a big one ordered from M&S. It's costing me £30, I most certainly am going to have a piece. Sunday will be a bit of a washout all round really.
Metafit sounds interesting Lizzy.

RandallPinkFloyd · 11/06/2013 18:26

I've been rubbish this week. For the first time since we started I've really taken my eye off the ball.

I Randalled on Saturday and have only done one fast day to make up for it. I've just stuck to the usual 1200 all the other days. Can't fast today either as me and XDH have a nice meal planned. (It didn't help that I totally lucked out in M&S the other day at yellow sticker o'clock so I have a fridge full of goodies!)

Oh well, can't do anything about it now as it's weigh-day tomorrow. Need to get my focus back next week though.

Well done for shredding SDP, I haven't shrod for some time. Jillian brings me out in hives. And 93cm, that's bleddy amazing work!

Really glad those 5lb came straight back off Double. Just goes to show how far you've come doesn't it. That one gain like that is just a little blip not the big disaster it used to be. You're back on the wagon now and no mistake!

Tea I really don't know what to say about your familial ankle woes. However it does prove me right about all sport being bad for you.

Still terrifying I see Bssh, glad you're still doing so well. You rock chief!

Lizzy I have no idea what metafit is but it doesn't sound pleasant at all so it'll probably right up your alley!

Glad all respective children are feeling better.

Tiger sounds like the perfect reason for a good Randall, hope you enjoyed it Smile

Lizzylou · 11/06/2013 19:12

Oh Randall, this is getting boring now!Wink
Tiger, we'll let you off, did you all have fun?Smile

Have done Pilates as Dh is back bit late tonight and my back is aching. I honestly love that DVD, I really do.

Ds2 is covered in glitter, even after a shower and scrub. Apparently he put his head in the glitter bowl during craft at CMs Hmm
He is 7!
