Oops. Good luck with the Cankle Check. Hope you don't have to wait too long.

Ouch Tea! Glad you are getting it sorted, hope it is OK.

I ache all over after another 4.5mile run last night. Used to run this route 3/4 times a week easily, have some work to do! The extra lbs from last week are gone, going to do a Friday weigh in and hope for a loss this week.

Have a spa weekend in 1 month that I would like to get at least 7lbs off for, 10lbs would be fab, 14lbs would send me delirious and would need a lot of willpower and work. Then it's another 3 weeks after that until my holiday, getting to goal for that would be awesome.

Have been too complacent last few months I think and relied too much on exercise, back on it with a vengeance now though Grin

Hope everyone has lovely, painfree days.

RandallPinkFloyd · 05/06/2013 10:31

Well fuck me sideways. 1.2lbs off. Bonkers.

Have you been to a&e yet Tea? Hope it's not too serious.

Lizzy you are a machine, all that toning is going to have way more of an affect on how you look than the numbers in the scale will. I'll bet you're looking fantastic, I wish I had your motivation.

Lizzylou · 05/06/2013 10:55

I told you so Randall, you bugger!
Well done!

I think you are right about toning, waistbands are looser, had to go down a notch yesterday...Just want to see the loss in lbs and stones now! Feel good about getting better at running.

RandallPinkFloyd · 05/06/2013 11:03

If I were you I would try not to think about the scales too much. What ours doing is changing your body shape completely, no amount of weight loss will do that.

You'll have that six-pack in no time the way you're going!

DoubleMum · 05/06/2013 12:30

Randall that is fabulous. Wonder if the problem is that I need to be eating 22 types of cookie?

OP posts:
TeaMakesItAllPossible · 05/06/2013 12:31

Fantastic Randall. Well done. And with 22 types of cheese and booze. Brill.

Lizzy I think you and I are twins of the weight loss. I can only actually loose lbs if I'm strict with the food as well as exercising. I wonder whether our body types are similar? It really does help to have a specific goal and a holiday is about as good as they come Wink

I have returned from A&E, where the consultant I saw was one of DS2's pal's mum, I was slightly ashamed of inappropriate hockey playing at my age. On poking it she's decided tis merely a sprain. I am meant to elevate it as much as possible. Should be able to run in 3-4 weeks. Can swim now. But means I need to defuzz and it all seems like a lot of effort. I'm not sure how well I'm going to manage my food intake and not to resort to comfort eating - I'm so dependent on the exercise for my emotional wellbeing and distracting myself from hunger when fasting. It's a bit of a headfuck really. Good job it's sunny.

I think Friday I will try a swim and maybe some Pilates with a fast today and Friday.

Well done Lizzy on the improving running. It's such a great feeling to see it getting easier.

Lego I'm still laughing at the thought of hoola hooping. It is so far from something I'm capable of. Just the thought makes me laugh.

DoubleMum · 05/06/2013 13:47

Tea I've tried hula hooping on the Wii, at least then you don't have to physically keep it up. Definitely doesn't come naturally though.
DH being quite useful (am trying to make him keep busy) but bit annoying just being here all the time - had got used to him being at work!
Am absolutely stuffed after my lunch but have managed to avoid cookies so far. Am off to Mr T soon to buy 37 types of cheese to see if that makes me lose more weight than Randall.

Lizzylou · 05/06/2013 19:56

Good news on the ankle, bodytwin Tea Smile
I cannot hulahoop, well I couldn't, maybe after my core strengthening Pilates I will be a whizz. Prob not.

Got a breakfast meeting tomorrow and have requested fresh fruit NO croissants/pastries.

dinkydoos · 06/06/2013 18:00

Hello lovely chiefs.
Been manic with work so not much time for keeping up. Have been plodding away fasting, still not filling in mfp though, sort of lost the habit and the time for it. Haven't been to gym either! But think lost another pound or so, so not too bad.
Can't believe randall , managing to turn 22 cheeses plus booze into a loss! Only you! Well done though, serious result!

RandallPinkFloyd · 06/06/2013 19:41

Glad it's not broken Tea but gosh, 4 weeks is going to feel a long time. You'll have to take up canoeing or billiards.

How was your delicious yet healthy breakfast Lizzy?

Well done Dinky a loss is a loss, and especially well done if you've managed it without logging. I've a feeling I would go wildly off the rails without MFP to keep me under control!

Hope your DH is staying busy and not getting under your feet too much Double. Sadly I had to fast my arse off before and after my cheese eating frenzy so I can't confirm any dietary benefits of a cheese only diet. More's the pity!

Lizzylou · 06/06/2013 20:25

Erm I caved into a cinnamon whirl Randall Blush
But all logged and have ran, so still under.

Just couldn't resist!

Dinky, how are you finding the fasting? Well done on still losing even when not logging on mfp. A skill I didn't master!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/06/2013 15:52

Well done Dinks that's brill. I still enjoy a good log.

God swimming is dull. It doesn't feel like exercise. It feels like a pointless waste of time. Grump. Grump. Grump. But I have discovered that I can swim breaststroke, front crawl and only do the arms of backcrawl with a sprained cankle. The swelling has gone down massively. Hurrah.

I'm going to a ball tomorrow, which sounds way fancier than it is as it's at the rugby club. There are a number of issues that present themselves as a result of this evening out. Firstly, I have no frocks that I fit in any more and ankle has prevented shopping this week - I'm not yet confident with new size to buy online. Secondly, walking in a pair of heels may prove to be a challenge with ankle. Thirdly, I'm not really sure what exercise I can do to offset booze intake tomorrow. I have been ignoring this problem, along with my roots, all week. Hmmmm.

Lizzylou · 07/06/2013 16:32

Oh Tea, I know the boredom of swimming, I find after 20 lengths I sort of zone out and it gets easier. Your brain is obv far more active than mine Grin
Hmm, bit of a conundrum re: Ball. Do you have any mates that could lend you a dress? Would low wedges/fancy flats work? Worry about offsetting the drinking on Sunday.

So blood test results back, am not menopausal and have very low cholesterol. So may join Randall in a cheese fest Grin

RandallPinkFloyd · 07/06/2013 17:53

That is a conundrum Tea, just fast around the booze that'll take care of that. As for the clothing/shoes issue could this perhaps be an opportune moment for a lifestyle change? Given much thought to naturism at all?

Huzzah Lizzy, no beige slacks for you. Get some real butter down you. Well jel, you've practically been given a prescription for cheese butties!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/06/2013 18:27

Well that's a relief Lizzy. Extra cream with your cheese butties. Yum.

I don't really 'do' flats on account of being vertically challenged. I have one pair of flats from last year which I wore so much I scrapped off the silver toecap and they can be smelt in Wiltshire. I may try all my heels later to see what they're like. Randall Grin Naked at the rugby club. Hmmm. Well I wouldn't be the first but I don't ever recall a woman doing it. I would frighten all the young players. I may try on frocks with a small belt and see what happens. I could wear and all blue and silver trouser set but as husband is wearing a blue suit we might look a bit odd.

My pal just came up with my new swimming mantra .... Swimming, better than drowning. Marginally. I may get a swim cap with it on.

Off to break my fast with a gin!

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/06/2013 18:30

My mates nearby are all sensible dressers and tall and willowy and those whose wardrobes i lust over all live miles away

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 07/06/2013 20:24

It could be worse tea you could be rocking one of those big cast things on your foot (the ones that are like huge open toes shoe things).

I'm a bit late in commenting but Randall you are amazing to pull off a loss! A-maze-ing Grin

Now, I have a confession but believe me I have paid for it twice over. It started with my special recipe Ginger Ice cream, followed by Clotted cream Ice cream (which wasn't great but edible). I ate lots Chiefs, lots and lots.

Today has mostly been spent on the loo, the rest of the day I have been living in fear of the Shart.

Forgive me Chiefs and believe me when I say never again. I have well and truly learnt my lesson.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/06/2013 20:29
TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/06/2013 20:30

Oh I should be more supportive. But you introduced sharting

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 07/06/2013 20:41

I don't wish to laugh with you tea, I think I'm over it now but trying to show no emotion incase my body misbehaves.Blush

Lizzylou · 08/06/2013 05:04

Grin @ sharting
Hope your bum is better today.
Can't sleep. Time was I would just be coming in after wild drinking and partying at this time!
May go to the supermarket.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 08/06/2013 09:02

Lizzy Shock how can you function waking so early? I am a sloth in the morning.

SDP oh it's awful isn't it? Hope it's just a 24 hour thing.

Weighed in today and I'm a lb off. Whoop. 2lbs to new target of just under halfway on the healthy range of BMI and then I am done and just need to maintain which I've been managing sort of ok over the last six weeks.

Lizzylou · 08/06/2013 10:13

Oh well done Tea Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Thanks Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Erm, I can't function it would seem. Waking at 3.30am makes for a pisspoor Park run. I was like a drunk sloth on mogadon. Annoyed after all the bloody running I have been doing.

Always next week.

Lizzylou · 08/06/2013 10:15

Oh and don't bother going to do weekly shop at that time. Nowt on shelves and noone on the tills Angry
